Skimp? whats that? This place doesnt know how to skimp out on the ingredients. I told them a regular tuna sub and they gave me a sandwich in which i thought was supposed to be for my whole family. Seriously they gave me something that would last me 2-3 days. The best part is their special pesto sauce they put on the sandwich, a spicy yet it tastes like gourmet pesto. Honestly you should go there before lunch time or you will find yourself back in the school cafeteria line. All in all there is nothing little about the sandwiches but big lucca sounds like a gym where buff people go to, so that makes sense. But the only con is that all the workers make the sandwich differently so some will make it really great and some will make it average.

Im not a big review writing kind of guy, but I am a sandwich one. With that said, there is no doubt in my mind that this place could quite possibly serve up the best freaking sandwich on the planet. Ive tried at least ten different concoctions of theirs and they are all amazing, with my favorite being the Ultimate Club. The ingredients are fresh and the portions are plenty, which is amazing when prices are comparable to a bland Subway or overzealous Quiznos.. Ive only eaten an entire sandwich once, and that was just to prove a point. I realize there are some other decent spots in the area, and I still frequent those once in a blue moon, but I only do so to make me realize how sweet Little Luccas really is.

Great sandwich, service at this location is less desirable!! I was looking forward to a sandwich to take on a motorcycle ride...was going to eat half tonight and save the other for my ride tomorrow. I call around 4:25pm cause I know they close at 5pm...and I am only minutes away. They said they dont take phone orders this late in the day but come on in and it will be fast. Well, I get there and there are 3 people ahead of me..and guess what...only THREE rolls left and then they have zero bread. WTF?? If they KNEW that they were almost out of rolls, they should have taken my phone order!! Very bad service....really sucks cause the sandwich is good. Now I will have to find another place.

Location specific: Not as good as the original in San Bruno... but this will do when Im craving a Little Luccas sandwich. General review of Little Luccas: I LOVE this place. LOVE IT! Best sandwich in the Bay Area. Not only for its value (an enormous sub sandwich, packed with meat, and all the fillings, for a great price). The staff is super friendly. The sandwiches though are amazing! I used to go twice a week when I worked down in San Bruno. If you havent been - GO! I promise you this place will leave you full yet wanting to come back for more to try all of their awesomeness!

My boyfriend has been raving about this place forever so he finally took me to try it this past weekend. We didnt feel like waiting in line so we phoned in our order. We ordered the ruben sandwich with dutch crunch and it was ready for us when we walked in. When I finally unwrapped the sandwich, it was HUGE. Im glad we only got one to share. The sandwich is everything anyone can ask for - especially if youre so hungry you feel like you can eat a cow. Haha. The sauce is quite delicious too. Id be sure to come again if I was in the area.

Sometimes, as I try to drift to sleep, instead of counting sleep I will just pretend to taste the garlic sauce that comes slathered on a Little Luccas sandwich, and all just seems right with the world. This sandwich shop gives you a classic Bay Area sandwich in so many different varieties - something for everyone! I recommend the crab cake sandwich on Dutch Crunch (really, anything on Dutch Crunch). All the fixings make this a messy sandwich, but its totally worth it!

Little Lucca is such a fantastic establishment, my only knock against it is that there is no San Francisco location. This location accepts cash only unfortunately, but the sandwiches are worth the inconvenience. My personal favorite is the BLT-A on Sourdough. Be warned though, sourdough is a bit chewy, and can make a mess. Id go with Dutch Crunch if you want to avoid this.

Found Little Luccas by accident while visiting the hospital across the street. There was a long line, but it moved reasonably quickly. Boy, was it worth the wait! Amazing sandwiches, fresh ingredients, and friendly folks behind the counter. Their garlic sauce is the perfect topper. Lots of chilled, bottled sodas as well. Its a long drive for us, but well be back!

I took off stars because I came at 4:54 last time and they were already closed. Closing time says 5pm so I expect it to close at 5pm. If they want to close early, then change the closing time. Good sandwich selections with so many cuts of meat and different bread choices. Usually around 10-14 dollars i would say, but their sandwiches are huge

This is a local gem. The favorite options are dutch crunch bread and garlic spread/sauce. The line looks daunting but it actually moves pretty fast. There are a few tables outside, but with the typical SSF weather, I would plant to take your sandwich somewhere indoors. Also, plan to share one since they are very big.

This place is on point, I would go everyday if I could, but this place is so popular... That it may close at 5, but its usually earlier then that, because they always sell out of their bread and they have to close for that reason.

Omg. My word. This place is incredible. I think I paid $8 for a sandwich that fed 2 fully grown men. At the same time, my taste buds erupted in a rapture of untamable delight. Can it be heaven? Perhaps. If not its close.

I actually find it difficult to even imagine a bigger sandwich. Giant, delicious, and reasonable (especially if you share with a friend). I have been coming here for about a decade and they havent lost their touch.

Ive been going to this place for many many many years now and still fresh and still delicious. Their sandwhiches are large and the price is cheap compared to Subway and Quiznos, blech. Cant go wrong here.

Some of the best sandwiches ever. They use a special garlic sauce that is to die for. Place is almost always busy with lines out the door, but well worth the wait. Also size of sandwich is huge.

That is one big ass sandwich. Totally worth it, good ingredients, fantastic bread. The garlic spread is a little too much like pesto for my tastes, but thats easy enough to omit if you wish.

Hands down one of the best sandwich spots in the peninsula. There is usually always a line to the door but it is well worth the wait. Oh and their sandwiches are pretty big so be hungry!

Large portions with good service and taste. Lines can get long at lunchtime and sometimes closes early due to selling out early, so come early or risk finding closed doors.
