Nice cozy little coffee shop with a wonderful selection of healthy, organic and even vegan pastry options. I was in town visiting family and was looking for a close by spot to grab some coffee and a quick bite to eat. I was not disappointed with my random stop at Brewed Awakening. The owners were very friendly and attentive to customers. Im a plain black coffee kind if guy so the taste of coffee actually matters to me and I have to say I was very pleased. We ordered a couple of drinks as well as some pastries, a fruit salad and even some local vegan granola bar thingies. All in all, we were happy with everything we got and appreciated the friendliness of their service. While Im not local and probably wont be in the area again for some time, I would highly recommend anyone local or just passing through to stop in and give them a try.

Pros: - really fast service (even with espresso drinks) - pastries (tasty, although not fresh) - a lot of seating (though its frequently packed...) Cons: - hot and stuffy (uncomfortably so) - the "small" size is un-Americanly small - close pretty early for a college town Bottom line: I love this cafe when I need a caffeine and snack boost, but I try to avoid staying in here for too long.

Food: 4 Decor: 3 Service: 4 Came here to grab a smoothie before The XX concert at the Greek. I opted for a jumbo 24oz Euclid Energy to share with my friend. The smoothie was pretty good and slightly better than Jamba, although borderline too sweet and sour. Free wifi, but I didnt test it out.

My favorite cafe, favorite mocha of all time. Atmosphere is great, although at times lively with conversation. Of course sometimes that conversation involves a lot of esoteric topics, given the proximity with the big U.

This was my go-to coffee shop while visiting for a week. The latte was always right and the baked goods are marvelous. Ample seating, always busy. Juices and smoothies looked good, too. Quick & kind service!

My first tine here, and I had the chai latte, which I thought was fairly decent. Its a lot bigger inside than it logs from the street. Didnt have any food, but other people seemed to like it.

Very good coffee and smoothies. Would like to recommend Mocha Frappe and create your own version of the smoothies. :) Very nice place to relax, sometimes alone, read papers and even work.

This is a cute little cafe right next to berkeley campus. It is a great study spot or morning place to get coffee. I recommend the chai as its much better than starbucks.
