Love their prices. And their food. Only thing is their drinks are too small and on top of it when I ask for water it is sink water which is very gross. I can never ever drink it. And their food has like no saltt. So it barley has any flavor what so ever. And they arent always nice. I went in their one day. And I was the first one in line. And I wanted a to go order. And there was like 40 people waiting behind me. Well they seated the 40 people before me even tho I was first in line. And thats not right. They should have taken my order, and had another person who worked their seat the people. They dont have enough help and they should of taken my order first. Since I was waiting there since 9 am. And they didnt open till 11 am. And then they take everyone else in front of me. And then they let everyone cutt in front of me which is not right either. People that wait there are very rude. People push you around. And its not goood. The only reason I go there is they are very cheap. The other problem is their food barely has any type of flavor. They need to change their flavors. Also the beans are good. But the rice is gross. And the rice has all these veggies in it. Which is gross. And there rice sometimes is hard as a rock.

How to describe Mexicasa? At first glance you would think that Mexicasa is pretty sketchy. However, if you take a chance, you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, you will NOT find here, this place is safe americanized Mexican food. If you can look past the non authenticness, you will find a place that has large portions at great prices. Me and my girlfriend will eat until we cant take another bite and still have enough left over to make another meal later on. Ordering 2 entrees and 2 drinks should be under $15 unless you add extras like guacamole and other things. You also get free chips and salsa as you are seated, which is always a plus. The only down side to this place besides the look would be the lack of orchata. NOTE: This place is cash ONLY but with an ATM inside. Also, there are only free refills on water and ice tea. Refills on sodas and other beverages are NOT free.

Honestly this is an insult to mexican food! This isnt authentic mexican food its an American version of mexican food. The tacos are horrible they dont even have real carne asada its just shredded beef that tastes like its been microwaved a million times. None of the food tastes fresh and has no flavor. When i got there i tried ordering 5 different things that seemed good but was told they are not made the same way they should be made. Even the waitress couldnt recommend something that was good. I wanted to leave right at that moment but decided to try anyways. All i can say is that the soda i had was the the only thing worth paying for! Never going back or recommending to anyone

Good food at a great price. I was a regular customer when I worked in the area but hadnt been in many years until I got a call from a group of old friends to come and have lunch. Really brought back some good memories (though I liked the old location on Manchester better then where they are located now). I dont know where the September 12 reviewer comes off with comparing it with cat food. I do find it interesting that his name went from "Santos" to "A Google User" to nothing. Probably doesnt want people to know that he knows what cat food tastes like...

This is a once great now sad sorry place! First started going to MexiCasa in 1982, 32 years ago this was a great place! With the expansion of the 5 fwy years ago they moved in to the old "Kettle Restaurant." Down hill ever since then, rat infested, drug motel, and a deteriorated area matches. Its a lots for cheap place for a reason.... VERY POOR quality food! Your shoes will stick to the carpet! The only thing authentic is that it is a throwback to 1980 Tijuana! Oh, and take your chance drinking anything here, glasses are usually unclean.

Great selection. Very reasonable prices. Its Cash only. Friendly staff. And by the clientele you can tell they have a loyal following. I got home with my hot meal and my picky children actually ate it, which gives it another Plus. The rice and beans are outstanding. The tacos are to die for. I ordered to go and it was fast, but its not fast food, and I paid about the same amount as I would have at a fast food joint. Theyre on Lincoln just before Euclid, next door to the kettle Motor Hotel. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

we went 9/3/2016 @ 4:30ish in the afternoon and got served by the most rude and inhospitable lady with long black hair. The food was beyond disgusting, so gross, I cannot believe anyone would feed that slop to a dog! the service which was horrific, coupled with the fact the one of the beers we got was skunked, and they refused to take it off the bill+ the garbage on a plate for, the first time in my life I felt compelled to not leave a tip!! and I wait tables, I have NEVER not left a tip!! But man they worked hard to earn NO tip!!

Went there with my husband and mother, I had the nachitos which was the only thing I could find on there that looked kind of good, and an Arnold Palmer. The prices are low dont get me wrong. But the flavor was gross everything had a weird after taste, even the salsa for the chips. The nachitos got old really fast, and the flavor was lacking, and these are nachos I have never thought nachos could be lacking in flavor but they where. Left paying $26 for three people which was a good price but I will NOT be coming here again!

Pretty good food for the price. Similar food to Don Jose but not the variety or high prices. Tom does everything to keep prices low, so not real pretty but its clean. If you want a knife or spoon ask for one. You dont need them for most meals. My family of four is usually less than $20. This is inexpensive American style Mexican food. If you want authentic go to Britos and sit on a bench. If you want fancy, go to El Torito Grill ( I go to both). If you want fast good inexpensive food Mexi Casa.

I keep thinking Ill run into Columbo or Jim Rockford here. No windows. Nice and dark. Just like the decore, the prices seem stuck in the late 70s or early 80s. But, even with low prices, the food is great. My favorite is: #15 two taco combo (shredded beef and *real* crispy taco shells), a chili relleno side order, and a pitcher of Bud light. Great service. Embodies everything that the chain restaurants fail at. Places like this are disappearing way too fast. Long live Mexi-Casa.

5 stars because its so affordable! Its an experience to say the least. Walking into this dark gem of the past, its as if time stood still. Its as though its 1960 again. The food is decent, not bad, not great. But, to sit down, enjoy some time with loved ones its the way to go. It costs the same as if you go to McDonalds. I just paid $5.55 for a taco/enchilada rice and beans. Its a generous serving too. Do not be afraid, give it a try.
