Perfect meal option for people who work nearby, either for lunch or dinner. The entire meal can be customized, from the type of base, type of protein, to the type of toppings. My favorite part of Cross Roast is that they offer a large variety of each selection (base, protein, toppings) for you to choose from, both Asian and American inspired. You can grab a quick lunch with your coworkers here and everyone would be able to find something that they love. I mean you could be having ramen, while your coworker is having tacos. Bizarre but it totally works! Im addicted to their sliced duck, which is surprisingly similar in flavor to Cantonese roast duck. And the portions are gargantuan. I got a brown rice bowl, and saved over half for dinner. Best part? They offer a teacher discount of 10%, which they applied to our entire party when we brought our students over. Thanks Cross Roast!

This place is awesome, I mean really awesome. Think of it like a poke bowl place but with no fish, instead they have two types of pork, two types of duck, and chicken. Delicious doesnt even begin to describe the flavors of the different meats, mixed with the various rices and toppings to your tastes. Great for all comers. ProTip: Thursday - Sunday they also have brisket that is on par with average BBQ in Austin Tx. Those who know Texas BBQ will understand that this is about the highest praise that brisket can get in California. Typically restaurateurs do not have the time to smoke meat for 10+ hours, and Californians in general would be very put off by a place running out of BBQ within the first hour or three of opening.

Im not from here and my sister took me to this place. I was amazed with the taste and mixture they have available. The meats are fresh, the veggies are fresh and all blends in with the sauces. I ordered half brisket and half pork belly. Sooo DELISH! Best part is the price! GREAT CHEF, he tries new things also! VERY FRIENDLY. LOVE THE STAFF! wish we had one like this in Utah. Oh! And they do sell the meats by the pound if u want to take it home! Cooked to perfection! Will for sure visit this place again before I fly back home.

I dont know which one I would rate higher, the food or the service!!! Both are absolutely awesome. I work in the service industry as well, and the level of courtesy shown by everyone who works here sets them apart from other restaurants in the area, along with the menu concept. Its also very affordable for the quality and quantity of food!! Im a big fan.

Absolutely love this place! The owners are super friendly and involved. The employees are happy and fun! And above all the food is fresh and fantastic. Its basically set up like Chipotle, but Hong Kong, Siu Nap style food. If youre going gluten-free, opt for the Salt & Pepper Pork, Plum Sauce, Whatchamacallit Sauce, and Coleslaw! Great corn tacos!

a lot like shop house. which is essentially, Asian chipotle. however, 10x better than shop house. pick a carb (ginger rice, brown rice, vegetables, nachos) protein (salt and pepper pork belly, duck, roasted chicken), pick toppings. about $8. filling, and well worth trying. I really like the pork belly. so silky and tasty.

First time here, service was good. Thought the concept was interesting. Slightly disappointed in the amount of flavor, but did have high expectations since we love Cantonese food. Had the French roll with the roast duck and plum sauce. Was very pleased with the tenderness of the duck and had good flavor.

I had the Ramen. It was quickly made and the soup was relatively kept warm. Although, I suggest having the rice over the Ramen. There are a lot of protein options and they looked fresh despite me coming towards closing time. I would definitely take my friends.

Good fast casual joint. I got the ginger rice with half pork belly and roasted duck. Food was good, but I chose 2 rich in fat meats (which i love) but it was a bit too much for me towards the end of my meal. Hubby opted for the ramen which was ok.

Cantonese BBQ grubs served Chipotle style, which seems to be the trendy thing to do as of late. Not exactly "authentic", but the food quality is at least a cut above your typical Chinese take out. Worth a try at least for the novelty.
