I fell down the Rabbit Hole and I cant find my way out...or at least I didnt want to. :) Thanks to a friends bday celebration yesterday, I finally had the opportunity to visit the Rabbit Hole. Now I love Alice in Wonderland and I absolutely adore rabbits so the Rabbit Hole automatically gets two thumbs up from me. Although, being with awesome company, enjoying happy hour drinks, and listening to music that took me way back to high school justified the 4 star rating. Once you walk in, you literally feel like youve been transformed into the world of Alice in Wonderland. There are lamps and books hanging from the ceiling, crazy neon graffiti art on the walls, neon Alice in Wonderland themed posters, miniature doors, and a ceiling covered in grass with cute white bunnies scattered about. I fell in love with the eccentric displays and the white bunnies definitely stole my heart! Even the cups they serve drinks in were in a crazy lopsided shape! Now why the -1 star you ask? Well I was less than impressed with the long wait for a drink. To be fair my party did arrive close to the end of happy hour which lasts from 8-10pm so there was a mad rush to the bar. But I literally stood there and waited 20 minutes for my drink while other customers were getting served. I also asked the bartender to make me something fruity and he made me a really strange drink that was really sour and had a hint of spiciness to it. The combination of sour and spicy was a little strange to me and honestly didnt care too much for it, but I couldnt bare waiting another 20 minutes for a drinks so I tried my best to make the most of it. Tip* Theres a parking structure right behind the building where you can park for free so no need to look for street parking!

After a few more outings at rabbit hole, turns out that this place is probably the best cocktail bar on Main Street. Or even the entire city of Alhambra. Mix crowd, super awesome bartenders, good happy hour (8-10pm). If you live int he SGV, your local watering hole is pretty much limited to Old Town Pasadena. Parking and price can be an issue out there. At Rabbit hole, Its a cheaper place to drink, everyone like a good deal. If you wanna fancy it up, they awesome got some pretty exciting flaming drinks. Best part about this place is its location, downtown Alhambra. Free parking! Just gotta worry about the Alhambra police. They are always patrolling Main street. Someone needs to open a Hong Kong style cafe on Main or something. We need a place within walking distance to go after drinking.

Located in Alhambra near Cha for Tea. Rabbit hole is your typical 626 bar -- small and youre bound to run into someone you know... and if not, youll probably run into them at JJs or some other Asian cafe after. Despite the fact that it is a really tiny bar, I do like the whole Alice in Wonderland/upside down decor they have going on. The prices arent too bad from what I can remember. My favorite thing here is probably their "hot shot," which tastes like Mexican watermelon candy! However, I feel like this shot varies in taste depending on who makes it for you. Word on the streets is that the best ones are made by the owner? This place isnt too bad if youre just looking to chill with some friends. Just make sure you find a spot and claim it!

I love this place! The drinks specials are really good and they always experiment with new drinks like using liquid nitrogen to freeze and make a drink ice cold. I got my girlfriend their cotton candy drink where they use REAL cotton candy. Their Whiskey Wednesday specials are great and if you are a whiskey drinker like me, you will understand the benefits of having one large ice cube instead of the usual lotte of ice cubes. There is an Alice and Wonderland theme throughout the place; even the ceiling, which you will find bunnies walking around upsidedown. I highly recommend checking this place out.

This place is fun to check out. It feels like it takes forever to get your drinks because theres at most two people making drinks for a thirsty crowed. Cocktails are like 14 bucks on average, theyre good, but not amazing. I tried the Molly and the Black Dahlia. They were lemonade based and although they were tasty, I dont see myself coming back to spend 14 on fancy lemonade that takes 20 minutes to get.

The decor is great and drinks are a bit expensive in my opinion but they were really good. The bartender even put on a little show oh yeah and the slanted glasses are pretty cool looking too. DJ was playing good hits!
