Happy Hour goes M-F, 3-7p. Well drinks are $3 and beers are mostly $2 off, but be forewarned that there are beers on the menu that go for big money, so you may still pay $8 for a happy hour beer. Trivia Tuesdays also and prizes are usually GCs for 38 Degrees. 38 Degrees is like 70% bar and 30% restaurant. Ive dined here in the restaurant before but it j use didnt feel right. I wanted to be in the thick of the TVs showing *Insert Favorite Team Here*. So between my restaurant and bar experiences here....I prefer happy hour. -=-Papas and Chorizo Tacos-=- When ordering anything with chorizo, you expect the dominant taste to be the chorizo. In the case of these tacos, its actually that humongous gob of potato. It wasnt a good potato either, and by "good" I mean seasoned in any way. Only get these if you are a big fan of potatoes. -=-Chorizo Flat Bread-=- Anything flat bread is going to be a light plate. In the case of the Chorizo Flat Bread, it was actually a perfect blend. There wasnt exorbitant amounts of chorizo on it, which was halfway a disappointment and halfway "maybe its a good thing", but the taste of chorizo in every other bite was fulfilling to say the least. This was the best plate for this trip here. -=-Tempura Battered Tots-=- These were a huge surprise, and probably should not even be called tots. I would relate these to Cuban Potato Balls without the meat. The gobs of potato are back, but this time in a different form. The fried tempura batter that covered these gobs of potato put in a bit more flavor than the tacos. It was served with a light aioli that didnt do it much justice. Id prefer ketchup or something else much harder hitting. Dont get these and expect tater tots. Far from it. Most of my food critiques here were mediocre at best, but keep in mind that I picked all the unique stuff. The better foods that Ive had here were the burgers and the fish tacos. Get those first to experience the best that 38 Degrees has to offer. I also enjoy the ambiance here. Its a nice crowd and everyone was approachable and friendly.

I had an amazing experience at 38 Degrees. I made my first visit about a month ago for the 5th Anniversary Event. Originally I wanted to be there when they first opened, but heard it was a terribly long line and too congested. Things happen for a reason. Surprisingly that day the drive from the OC to Alhambra wasnt bad. Parking on the street is a little horrendous, so I recommend parking in the lot south of the pub. The wait wasnt too bad either, only 5 minutes then we were seated. The atmosphere is interesting, I would similar to Eureka!. My friends and I started off with a few flights because of the awesome tap list they had available. We chose mostly sours because hey, cant go wrong a delicious sour. I appreciate the server bringing out a list of the beers for the flights, explaining which beer is which. Sometimes we tend to forget and a list is very helpful. All the craft beers were delicious, just to name a few -- Red Poppy, Almanac Farmers Reserve, Bear Republic etc. I also ordered some food -- Bambi Burger "Venison" with fries. If you check into Yelp you get 50% off any appetizer with a purchase of any entree. My friends with the sliders to compliment their beers. I am not over-exaggerating but the Venison burger is one of the best burgers I ever had. I definitely recommend it! Service was exceptional! Throughout the night my friend was undecided on what she wanted to order both food and drink. The server waited patiently, offering his suggestions and really made the night. Too bad I forgot his name, but 38 Degrees is awesome pub for delicious food, extensive list of craft beers, and great service. Cant wait till the 6th year Anniversary has in store for us customers.

38 Degrees is a nice non-Asian addition to Alhambra. Its nice to be able to find a decent beer selection in the area without having to drive over to Pasadena. They also have a nice happy hour deal with several food options. Their food is alright. My friend and I tried several items from the happy hour menu. I really enjoyed the banh mi tacos. Its full of flavor and the meat is well marinated. I didnt really care for their fish tacos. It was a little too oily. The beer menu is huge. They have a large selection of both draft and bottled. Their draft beer changes often so you can always try different beers. If youre a trivia fan, it looks like they do it every Wednesdays. Although, we went on a Wednesday and didnt see it happening. There is free parking on the street and also a free parking structure nearby in the same block right behind the Korean BBQ restaurant.

karla was our waitress and gave HORRIBLE service!!truly bad attitude...acted like it was a bother to do her job....we had to ask the person who brought our food for the things we wanted, however he told us to ask our waitress.very nice on the inside of the place but just poor service and really not so good calamari-they dont even have marinara to go with.....big thumbs down on this place.we were only at the place to get some munchies and wine.our waitress hence brought 2 glasses of wine that was not what we had asked for.she never had the respect to tell us that they were out of white wine we had requested so she decided to bring us something else wtihout asking if it was ok....and apparently she dosent know the difference in shiraz and merlot>>>>boo....

Pretty good spot for a brew, and to watch sports. The food is pretty good, but still bar fare. Some good salads, not much in the way of vegetarian options, but they are there. Sometimes Ill get brussells sprouts, which dont appear on the menu but are awesome when they have them. They have good brews, but the staff really doesnt seem to know that much about beer. Whenever I ask for a beer comparable to another (usually pliny the elder when they dont have it on tap) I get weird suggestions. Pretty sure theyre just picking at random. It has happened a few times. Still, I had a birthday dinner here because I like the place and the beer selection so much. Probably the best beer bar in Alhambra.

Its a great craft beer bar in the center of Alhambra. They have an extensive selection of the SoCal areas best microbrews as well as some better well known staples from un and down the west coast. Be careful about ordering from the bottle page. Some special edition craft bottles will run you into the $20+ range. For food options there is an excellent selection of burgers, salads, and other gastropub fare. I can vouch for the burger, which was a tasty and generous. We has a large group and they were very accommodating with space and service. If you like Slaters 50/50 then this is its twin brother in Alhambra.

I remeber stopping by here awhile back! it looked like an interesting place well it was and as we got here and went inside we got hosted to our table it wasnt a problem at all we quickly got seats in a flash. The menu was awesome had alot to choose from and tried the beef brisket sandwhich and my parents had ordered salmon which took awhile to cook in the mean time our waiter came by and said we got a free chocolate cake for desert for the long wait! I got happy because of that and because of my beef brisket sandwhich was so delicious I wanted to order another! This place is a must visit
