Been coming since I was in high school and I still love this place! Their menu hasnt changed so as their restaurant. Why change if its not broken right? Everyone I come here I order their Shaka plate which is about $12ish. You get a little it of everything from spamasubi, macaroni, small salad, nicely friend chicken , flavorful beef and a good amount of rice. All the yummiest in one plate. Highly recommend this place. The staff is great, the restaurant is great even have a bar and its a cool (literally) place to eat.

Been going to Shakas for well over 4yrs now and they NEVER disappoint! NORA behind the bar is one of the BEST in town! Not to mention the made-to-order Sriracha Wings and Sampler Platter compliments her Mixologist skilled concoctions!!! Great place for get-togethers or to catch a game on perfectly placed big screen TVs ALL OVER the place! Happy Hour ALL WEEK. A definite Alhambra must-do!!!

Frequent customer over 2 decades at both locations. Service goes from over achiever to lacking depending on who you get. The gentlemen are masters at their craft. Great comfort food, average bar options, plenty of tvs good family sports bar.

The loco moco is generally always on point. The service here is a little weird sometimes. Sometimes its order at the bar; sometimes its sit down. The shaved ice is awesome with ice cream and condensed milk.

Go during happy hour! Ive tried literally everything on the happy hour menu and it never disappoints. The happy hour platter is a good start so if youre unsure about what to get, start with that!

They dont like to use the air conditioning and the restrooms are extremely hot. Other than that the establishment is nice and the food is pretty good. Good balance between the price and portions.

Food would be ok if you were drinking a lot and did not care about the flavor. I ordered the combo with Kalbi and Honu chicken. Both were dry and the rice had an off taste to it.
