The building does not look very appealing from the outside. It needs to be freshened up to say the least. I had passed by it many times without stopping. I decided I would try it one day and I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The interior is actually pretty nice. It was very clean and nice looking. The food was good but it did lack some in flavor. Most Asian buffets are really salty and I drink water the rest of the day and still feel dehydrated. This one could have used a bit more salt or soy sauce when cooking. I added it at the table but it is not the same as cooking with it. They have a large selection and they keep it well stocked and fresh. I will definitely eat here again and would recommend it to others. Dont let the exterior looks keep you from going in like I did for a couple of years. It looks like a totally different restaurant when you walk in!

If youre hungry and just so happen to be leaving/going to Walmart (and by all means you should be shopping there lol) then why not stop at China Star? They have a nice variety of dishes to choose from, although Id say about a quarter of the food there is actually western and not Asian dishes. They dont over-season their foods which I love, and my personal favorite is the Vegetable Chow Mei Fun. The older workers there are cool and friendly, but the younger ones are probably not so much. Still, Id have to say that China Star is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Selma, because of the variety and taste.

Go between 12 and 1 and you will get fresh food. Any other time you will be getting nasty leftovers that have been sitting all day ( or from the previous day ). Bring your own bottled drink. Their soda machine sucks, as does their tea. Most of the food is okay, not the best chinese but not the worst either.

Typical Chinese buffet. In Selma this is the largest selection of Chinese foods. They also have pizza, chicken nuggets, pudding etc.
