WATCH WHAT THEY CHARGE YOU!! They will rip you off! I am very upset with my visit this past Friday afternoon to Neighbors, I am going to share my experience in hopes this doesnt happen to anyone else that is smart. I took a girlfriend of mine out for lunch/dinner with some of my birthday money I got this year, we were there about 3pm it took us 25 minutes to get drinks and put our food order in and it goes without saying for a place that only had people eating at 3 tables in the place,(and like 6 women walking around a counter, trying to look like they are doing something) yeah them not busy at all should have been a warning to me. I got the food, things that should have been hot were room temp, and potato salad i got should have been cold was warm. I even went as far as to ask who exactly our waitress was and it was all of them, so we were being neglected by many WAIT STAFF not just one. Now I will admit they are wayyy over priced on their menu, but I knew that before going, I grew up in the area and have really only ever ate here once a year because my grandparents use to love eating here when they were alive, but with todays technology they still write out tickets of your charges and they nit pick every little thing on it, I took out leftovers and a snack order to go and got charged an extra .50$ i guess for the Styrofoam container but as I was leaving I looked at my receipt and got charged $3.99 twice on my receipt, (i will add here too, I had to ask for it, they dont give it to you because they dont want you to catch these charges). I went back to ask about it, and they just tried to laugh off ripping me off, looking at the ticket that was wrote out she claimed they were charging me for a lemon pie to which I did not order! I did how ever have lemon in my tea, and for my fish and being as how there was no one in the place they expected me to believe they didnt know I didnt have this pie! I think not! Then still trying to laugh it off she said we do not charge extra for lemon, then why was lemon even wrote on the ticket?

I have been going to this restaurant and loving the food for about 10 years. On this night, my faminy and I walked in and was seated. The waitress took our drink orders and returned quickly. At that point she took our order and told ur that it would take a little longer on the fried pork chok than the seafood. We were OK with that and still ordered. 45minutes later we didnt have our food and stopped the waitress and inquired about our food. She said that she didnt know what was the hold up and that it takes about 20 minutes to cook the pork chop dinner. 15 more minutes went by and I stopped the waitress AGAIN and asked her for the Manager. The Manager came to the table and told me that she had no idea what the problem was then looked up and told me and my family that our food was coming up NOW and that it was in the window. 10 MORE minutes went by and the Manager came back to the table and told me and my family that the food WASNT coming up and she didnt know what the problem was. If you are the Manager you are supposed to please the customer. She came to our table and said that she didnt know what she could do to make us happy so we left. My family and I left there angry and went eat at Dick Russels and treated great and with respect. Like I said, I use to love this place but after this I will NEVER return and ask all of my friends and coworkers and family now to eat here. I am really disappointed in the Management at this establishment.

Our first time there and it started off to be a great experience but turned soured fast. We got our food and our check all at the same time and that was the end of our service. Everyone around us was asked by a sever if everything was ok with their food and drinks but not once did we get asked and to top it off both of our drinks empty and my boyfriend had to get up and ask for a to go box. No matter what we always tip 20%, we served tables before and know how it is but today for the first time we left nothing, I was upset and embarrassed to do so but why should I tip on my ticket that I just paid $34.00 on and I dont even get the same service as the rest of the tables around us. Needles to say we wont be going back and its a shame like I said the food was great and everyone seemed to be nice to everyone else just not nice to us!!! Im sorry to the girl who took our order and gave us our food but you never came back and to be ignored was the worst thing you could of done but you did I wish you wouldnt have done that.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I JUST MOVED TO THE AREA AND THIS PLACE WAS RECOMMENDED. I WENT AND ATE AND EVEN ENJOYED THE FOOD. TWO DAYS LATER I WENT TO PUT GAS IN MY VEHICLE AND MY CARD WAS DECLINED. I WAS ON MY WAY TO A JOB INTERVIEW. I LOOKED UP MY ONLINE STATEMEMT AND REALIZED I WAS CHARGED OVER $2,000 FOR A SHRIMP POBOY,FRIES AND SWEET TEA. THIS SENT MY ACCOUNT INTO THE NEGATIVE. I WENT TO THE RESTAURANT AND THE OWNER APOLOGIZED FOR HIS MISTAKE BUT COULD CARE LESS ABOUT WHAT HIS POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE HAD DONE TO MY EVERYDAY LIFE. SO I MISSED MY INTERVIEW FOR MY NEW JOB BECAUSE OF THESE PEOPLE. AND UNTIL THE MONEY IS PUT BACK IN MY ACCOUNT I WILL NOT EAT NOR DRIVE ANYWHERE BECAUSE ALL I CAN DO IS SIT AT THE HOUSE WAITING FOR MY MONEY SO I CAN PUT GAS IN MY VEHICLE. TO TOP IT OFF THE OWNER WAS ACTUALLY RUDE TO ME FOR HIS MISTAKE AND WHAT IT HAD DONE TO ME. THANKS "NEIGHBORS" YOU HAVE MADE MY WELCOME TO MOBILE A HELLISH ONE.

Went there for a date night and I ordered the Shrimp platter and he had the 2 choice seafood platter. We had the gumbo for an appetizer and we LOVED it. My husband said it was better than a majority of restaurants he has had gumbo at. Then our orders came, very quickly and very hot, the food was wonderful. My husband had the cabbage with his meal and had a heavenly experience with it. He bragged on that cabbage to all the servers that came to check on us. Now I do advise that you really dont need to go large on any of the platters, unless you intend to share with others at your table or home if you go through the drive through or do takeout, cause the regular size platters are VERY filling with enough left over to bring home. I also found it to be a very affordable place to eat. Go enjoy!!!

My family and I went to this restaurant we waited 45 minutes for our food. We were told by the server our order was coming right up in the next couple of minutes, ten minutes later still no food. We asked to speak to the manager, she couldnt explain the delay, but ensured us that they were working on it right now. Another 10 minutes pass and the manager comes over to our table and said that they havent even started on our order, she couldnt explain anything, but said if you want to yall can just leave and she would understand. Unbelievable!!! The worst customer service ever!! Dont waste your time or money there. Very disappointed customer, would not recommend at all. Try Dick Russells much better service, better quality food!!
