So done with this restaurant! Our group of 4 arrived @ 9am for a birthday breakfast. We were the only customers there. We wanted a little more space than a 4 person table and the only other option was a large circular table for about 8. So, we started to slide 2 small tables together in a corner so as not to be a nuisance to anyone. The owner (or whatever he is) was on us like a hawk wanting to know how many would be in our party. Keep in mind the place was EMPTY of ANY customers. He told us we could sit at the large table (not a cozy setting at all for 4). "I dont like moving the tables," he said. Seriously, how does this inconvenience him in any way except that it might become obvious with with a moved table that the carpet is dirty? Check your silverware and glasses. It took me 3 tries to find a glass without small chunks of dried food in it or lipstick on the rim. Yuck! We had groupons, using one for each two women. In both cases, we used under the 20 dollar limit and the owner said, "you have a dollar left, pick something off the bottom row of pastries/cookies". Then of course, we end up owing. He was SO cheap he couldnt stand the idea of returning even 18 cents in one case and 68 cents in the other. This was not our first visit. Once, I ordered a German Chocolate Cake because I didnt want the hassle of making this favorite dessert for my hubby. I paid over $30 for a joke of a cake. They had put plain chocolate frosting between the layers. Thats not how you make German Choc cake! Then they crammed it into a box that was too small and the top got smashed. I can only assume the owner didnt want to splurge on a full sized box. The flavor was not impressive. You live and learn. I hope I save the next guy a few bucks by telling the plain truth about this restaurant. On another visit, the same counter guy once again proved himself to be the wrong person for customer service! The food is good, but the experience is always soured by this guys unfriendly attitude. He makes you feel like youve put him out to just take your order or sit where you want. If youve read this far, hopefully you will see that I give a place more than once chance if the food is good. Three strikes, youre out. Wish I had walked after the first strike.

Wow, I thought it couldnt be as bad as the reviews I read, but after visiting there today I have to say it was worse. Im only rating it one star because zero isnt an option. I cant state as to the quality of the food because I never got that far. I too had a Groupon to use, and it was due to expire in a couple of weeks so thought I would go there with the family for lunch on this beautiful Saturday. The manager/owner/whomever the guy in charge was CLAIMED that my Groupon had been used (a lie) and refused to honor it. When I questioned how that could happen, since Ive never been there before and know for certainty it hadnt been used, he said no one there would have marked it off unless it had been used (suggestion seeming to be that I was lying, he seemed pretty smug about it too). It was an embarrassing and humiliating encounter, and my first and only time in this establishment. Feel pretty ripped off, and have filed a complaint about the place with Groupon as well. My theory, he just doesnt want to honor the rest of the outstanding Groupons and is making up reasons not to. Only upside, we left there and went to his competitor next door, Boomerjacks. Didnt have a Groupon for them so it was full price, but a nice place, good food and service, and not one person there called me a liar. Thats something I always appreciate in places I spend my cash.

The staff are so rude at Social Bakehouse and always look grumpy like they dont want to be there. It is killing their establishment to have such angry people working there. I had a coupon for a free cookie and was given the wrong one probably on purpose. It tasted dry and old, so did my sandwich. I went back in and was ignored and frowned at by this tall bulky man on duty. Another time I went with a friend, there was this nasty lady working there that frowned at us like we werent at all welcome. She was incredibly short with us because we did not order a full dozen cookies. It was for my office Christmas party and only two people ate them! I ate one myself out of curiousity and the cookies were so stale like they had been sitting there for a long time. I dont recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I was really excited about going to this establishment because I had a Groupon and everything looked so enticing. I had to wait for about 40 minutes to get my to go food and when I asked them if this was the correct sandwich they said yes. 10 minutes when I got back to my office I realized that it was wrong- I called to inform them that they probabaly gave my order to someone else they apologized and said that they were busy. When I asked if I could have my name down to get my sandwich another time because my lunch break was over their response was "you can come back and get your sandwich, were really busy." Needless to say I was extrememly disappointed in their customer service in reaction to a problem that could have been easily avoided.

I cant speak for the customer service because I had my food delivered by UberEats. But I did want to comment that the desserts are... bland. The peanut butter cookie had no sign of peanut butter at all. The black and white cupcake was 2 day old stale yellow cake topped with flavorless chocolate icing and a dot of white icing on top. Its like this bakery has never heard of sugar or salt. the only positive note I can add is the cookies were delightfully soft. But again, lacking in flavor.

The ipad you sign prompts to to leave a tip, they let you order eggs ala carte, the menu is regular cup of coffee or mocha frappe, no cappacino, no lattes. Coffee is presented in empty cup on cute platecwith a lace doily. Upscale food hot food and Bakery items, coffee isnt fancy, but presentation attempts to be, and the coffee does taste good. Splenda sugar and mini creamer cups, only the regular flavor. Very cute place with patio seating and wifi.

Terrible experience. The place looks nice and clean. Clerk was friendly but the food was horrible. Tried a slice of chocolate cake, coconut macaroons and chicken spaghetti. The cake and macaroon were "different". Not horrible but not good at all. Not sure how to describe the taste accurately. Now the chicken spaghetti was disgusting. It tasted spoiledwe were so disgusted we just got up and left. Wont be going back.

Thank goodness I had a Groupon for the cupcakes I brought down to Louisiana for the family to enjoy; but what a disappointment. Brought a dozen but they were so dry we ended up throwing them away. I have another Groupon and I guess before placing the order Ill ask what the freshest items are. Really really disappointed. Dont waste your money, even with a Groupon its not worth it.
