This is an awesome dessert place in Columbus. Two recommendations: The chocolate bomb and the creme brulé éclair. Now, the chocolate bomb is n obvious choice. It looks decedent and special enough for you to feel like it was worth making a trip there. And it is quite amazing. The dark chocolate bottom. This light, rich mousse. The cacao beans lining the bottom perimeter. However, my heart lies with the creme brulé éclair. This pastry is often overlooked by those searching for an exotic dessert experience. It is just an éclair, right? This is where you are mistaken. The creme brulé filling is just the right consistency and bursting with vanilla flavor. However the top, a caramelized sugar coat, makes it. It adds and exciting crunch, creating a wonderful blend of flavors and textures with each bite. So i tell you. Although it is monotone, and lacks the fancy swirl of chocolate, do not overlook this magnificent creation. It earned its place behind those shelves by tasting magical, rather than looking the part.

Bumping rating up to 5 stars. I came here with my gf right before closing Saturday night. 1. Coconut guava yuzu chiboust, 24 Layers of coconut buttercake, gava yuzu curd, and coconut meringue mousse with a guava glaze. ~We got a terrine for my friend. Looked delicious, but I didnt get to try it :( 2. Chocolate bombe, 5 Chocolate buttermilk cake with semi-sweet chocolate mousse infused with tawny port, glazed with a chocolate ganache. ~Delicious. It got a bit smashed by the time we got home, but it was still good. 3. Pistachio macaron, 1.25 Pretty good. Not a big fan of macarons, but theirs are good. Tip: they have their own lot across the street if street parking is unavailable

Pros: They offer a wide variety of delicious pastries and confections that will leave you craving for more! The staff is very courteous and the overall service is excellent. The dining area is always clean and inviting. The prices are reasonable; a slice of dessert costs $5 or less. cons: The large desserts (whole tartes, tortes, etc) are pricey but not ridiculous. They cost about 40$ final thoughts: A must try in columbus! I highly recomment their chocolate bombe for the chocolate lovers. Ive been to pistacia vera several times and I have never been disappointed.

I went there for a late birthday treat to get some macarons yesterday. The place closes at 7 and we got there around 630. I ordered one of each and was given a presorted box from the case. My boyfriend ordered a pain au chocolat. The total was $22 with the box being $18 for 12 macarons and the bread $4. Since we were going to dinner first, i didnt bother opening the box until today and discovered I was shorted one. I called them today and told them and they said they wouldnt give me the missing one since I didnt have proof of purchase. They never even gave me a receipt!

The food menu looks appealing, but all we purchased were ham and cheese croissants, a brioche, and French shortbread cookies. All three of the croissants were overcooked, the pastry to the point of being almost black. That made reheating them a bit of a problem. My children thought the Brioche was okay, but not great. The cookies were essentially sugar cookies. I do not know what a French shortbread cookie is versus English, but it had no resemblance to what I know as shortbread. Pretty pricy for so-so food. Sadly, Panera is far better for baked goods.

This is an awesome place to show off! Take an out-of-town visitor to show them that Columbus does have cute little spots! Not only does Pistacia Vera have GREAT desserts, but they have equally as great service! I had a little mishap when sending a package to a friend, and Pistacia Vera took care of it (even though it was not PVs fault, it was my friends apt buildings fault...). I highly recommend this place for coffee and desserts. Columbus needs more places like Pistacia Vera.

I went there for Sunday brunch. I had a latte, the croque monsieur, and 3 macarons: raspberry, pumpkin spice, and buckeye. Unfortunately, they ran out of the smoked salmon which would have been my choice for brunch, but everything else I tried was delicious. I cant wait to try more macarons! I will definitely be back and will be bringing out-of-town visitors. The only downside was that the seating inside is a bit crowded.

This place needs no introduction. This is the best bakery in Columbus and the comment comes from my 9 years of epicurean experience and experiments in this city. The pistachio and strawberry dacquoise are the best of the desserts that I ever had. Flavorful and not very sweet. This bakery deserves a visit even when this is not on your way or I would say that it deserves a special visit for that 6 bite pastry.

Guess this is not my spot for coffee and chill. Baking goods are great so 5 stars for that. However, Im pretty surprised that they dont have wifi or outlet to charge your laptop. I like to enjoy coffee and cake with my laptop if Im by myself so I can do some work. Could have spent $24 somewhere else. Oh well. Its a great spot for book readers or just to chat with your friend(s) tho.

Absolutely everything in the case is extraordinary. From the fruit squares to the legendary bombe -- and every cookie in between. A special delight is arriving at 7 a.m. as the breakfast pastries are fresh and hot. We sit right down and add a cup of coffee. Theres nothing so delectable! [Please note that the hours have been extended to 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., 7 days a week.]

I literally nearly turned around at the store because when I approached, I thought that it was probably too fancy for me. I decided to go in any way and was glad I did. My son and I had a great afternoon snack. I had the cold brew and a coffee macaroon. He had lemonade and "the green cookie!" (Hes 3) delicious baked goods and coffee in a lovely environment.

A colleague brought some of the pastries in to our office. Although they were palatable with coffee, the two pastries I had reminded me of when my sister used to make bisquick cakes in her Barbie easybake oven at a young age. The dough was surprisingly tasteless. Having said that, I did not try the Almond Bearclaw that looked quite delicious.

Just went there today with my sister and my friend for the first time, and we all loved it! The coffee was really good, and the pastries were very tasty. The staff is nice, and the place itself is pretty clean. The only complaint is that there is not a ton of parking as well as space to sit inside because its very crowded on the weekends.

I have never had a single bite of food from Pistacia Vera that was anything less than perfect. The macarons, cakes, croissants, cookies, you name it, its great. Ive given their beautifully boxed up treasures to many friends and family as gifts, and no, of course I didnt do that as an excuse to go in and buy myself some goodies!

The macarons are awesome. We had chocolate cherry cordial, pistachio, peppermint chocolate, maple walnut, and gingerbread. We also had a short bread cookie, coffee and hot chocolate. Every thing was delicious. It was a little on the pricey side but, it is perfect for a treat. We cant wait to go back to try the savory offerings.
