Ive picked food up on rare occasions at Bouchon Bakery. After today, though, I doubt I will ever do it again. I ordered a cup of soup at 2:30 pm on a Friday in April. Pretty easy-- the soup is ladled in a cup and a lid is slapped on the cup. It took Bouchon Bakery more than 15 minutes to do this--- and there was only one other guy waiting when I got there. He gave up on his cheese sandwich and asked for his money back. The counterperson had to get the manager to do this operation. When we complained about the service the manager smirked at us--- yes, no Im sorry, no I will rectify this just a big fat smirk as if to say "you are a sucker and I dont care." It is bad enough that the food is overpriced (San Marzano tomatoes in the soup--- it didnt taste like San Marzano tomatoes). Customers shouldnt have to put up with bad service and smirking managers.

The Time Warner Center location of Bouchon Bakery is special: the first of Kellers NYC locations, certain of its offerings have always been a notch above the other Bouchon Bakeries. Although this is less true than a few years ago, certain offerings--like the only sometimes-available florentins--remain very special. For a long time, they also had by far the best macaron in town, and that includes Laduree and Payard. It is still quite good. Some may find the offerings overpriced, but there are many less good options that cost more in the area (sad logic, I realize, if true). A quick note on my rating scale: 5 stars = exceptional food & service; 4 stars = excellent food & service; 3 stars = decent to good (top-of-the-line for fast service restaurants); 2 stars = mediocre; 1 star = not recommended.

I am a huge fan of Thomas Keller and his Bouchon Bakery and Cafe. This was the first one in NYC and I am a bit emotional about it. And very addicted to it. Sadly for my svelte figur. Their caramel french macaron is worse then crack. Its also very hard to resist the irresistible urge to run up the elevator in the ugly Time Warner Center mall. Just cant wait a second longer to devour the grilled cheese on super soft grilled and caramelized brioche bread as a lunch combo with the most delicious fresh tomato soup. About a zillion times better then a normal diner/bodega grilled cheese on Wonderbread toast and a Campbell"s Tomato soup. Anyway, just do it!

Bouchon offers some wonderful baked goods, the Bouchon Brownies are perfectly chocolatey (read: not too sweet), and the banana bread is moist and delicious. The grilled cheese sandwich, served on Texas Toast with a mixture of fontina and gruyere cheese, is one of the best in the city (tomato soup for dipping optional). However, be forewarned: the service at this location for anything other than the prepared baked goods is painfully slow. If youre planning on grabbing a seat and hanging out the the mall anyway then it might not matter, but if you were planning on grabbing a quick latte to go with your pastries, it might not be worth the wait.

Je suis amaureux. Les Macarons et le gateau à la banane sont extraordinaire. I recently ordered les macarons and banana mousse gateau for a small office party, and everyone was blown away. The presentation was fabulous and très parisienne - they adorned the cake with a beautiful hand crafted dark chocolate placard with my co-workers name inscribed in white chocolate. The head of catering - Charles - was very easy to work with and informative and for the quality of their goods, I found their pricing to be beyond reasonable. I will certainly be back so I can have a tray of macarons to myself (the PB&J and Vanilla cest génial!)

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Food: Desserts galore! Need I say more? Have the macaroons. For entree, I recommend the Atlantic salmon. Drinks: Great wine selection! Space: The dining area is in the open mall area but is very romantic and elegant making it the perfect place for date nights, business dinners, or get-togethers. It offers communal experience in a modern, minimalist setting. Scene: Date night. Romantic dinner. First date. Quick bite. Crowd: Locals, professionals, tourists and families. Service: Very attentive, courteous and professional!

Wanted to go to this place for a while now and I happened to be in the area today. To early to be able to sit in the restaurant. So I went to the bakery instead. The food was way to expensive for what you get. Had a ham/cheese baguette which was way way to hard and nothing special for like $9 and then an almond croissant ($3.50) which I had to return since it was as hard as a rock. Then received the pistachio something, which was way way too sweet. Overall will not go back here, overrated. Low quality and too pricy. Would not recommend this place.

Bouchon Bakery is delicious, a guilty pleasure if youre in Columbus Circle and looking for something savory. My personal favorite is the grilled cheese and tomato soup - it is delicious enough to order at any time during the year, true comfort food - though their sandwiches are also worth ordering. The real draw here for shoppers is the array of cookies, sweets and macaroons to grab if you need to satisfy your sweet tooth. They have the walk-up counter with some tables, but the full seating area is also good for an upscale but informal lunch.

Bouchon Bakery is one of the most exciting things about the shops at Columbus Circle. I like to stop by and get a cookie (TKO) or wannabe nutter butter and then head to Whole Foods to do my groceries. I once bought a big mac macaron that was strawberry flavored. I bit in and aside from the cream was a whole strawberry and jam. It was amazing. The mango lassi flavored one looked promising as well. You cant go wrong with anything at Bouchon. For heartier bites, the cheese sandwich and tomato soup gets a lot of recommendations.

Nos sentimos estafados, el primer plato del menú de 30€ eran dos rebanadas de pan tostado con jamón, soso y peor que un bocadillo normal y corriente. De segundo otra rebanada de pan con setas y lechuga. Una tomadura de pelo. NO VENGÁIS AQUÍ A COMER.

The grilled cheese and tomato soup combo was really delicious. We got a seat with a good view on the end of the bar table, and you can see Columbus Circle from it, which is a great view. I ordered cookies for dessert. It turns out the menu item is confusingly labeled. I thought I was ordering a sampler of oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip and double chocolate chunk, but it turned out that I got 3 gigantic cookies. They didnt charge me for the extra ones, which was really nice of them.

Service is very quick and people are friendly. Food is extremely mediocre (Ive given many things a shot - turkey panini, ham panini, chicken dumpling soup, tuna salad sandwich - all just ok), but the view and setting in Columbus Circle makes it a reasonable bargain. I was deeply disappointed by the staleness of the profiteroles at dessert. I go back for the setting but have learned to pick my own desserts from the bakery window instead of ordering from the menu.

Bouchon Bakery is actually one of my favorite places to grab lunch. Located in the Time Warner Center, they have both a bakery counter and a small dining area. The small sandwiches and soups here are very delicious and while not the cheapest, are of excellent quality. The wait for a table on a weekend isnt too bad could be 20-30 minutes, but at least it is all indoors and climate controlled. After lunch, I recommend stopping by and grabbing some sweets.
