The service was friendly and polite. This review has nothing to do with the way we were treated. THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!!!!!! Consumer beware. We went to the Taco Hut after many locals in the area told us it is the place to go for Mexican food in the area. We were so excited to see what all the buzz was about. Here is what we experienced: - charged for chips and salsa- the salsa tasted canned - guacamole - processed, not fresh, no flavor - margarita - worst margarita ever - we ordered a pitcher - Maybe the bar tender forgot to add the tequila as it tasted like we were drinking a sweet and sour mix on the rocks - rice - not your typical Spanish rice it tasted okay but IMHO should have been noted - Spanish Rice (comes w/ burrito) tasted old - Fajita Burrito - the beef was dry and something in the burrito smelled freezer burned I also tasted something rancid as if either the meat or veggies were rotting - menu described as having jack cheese- after closer inspection it was processed yellow cheese (not even melted) - Flautas - small, flavorless Overall food experience was extremely poor. My husband got sick on the way home. We had to stop at a store so he could vomit. We dont know if it was due to the overly sweet non-alcoholic margaritas or from something in the food. The staff was friendly and helpful.

First of all I must say that I am not particularly fond of Taco Hut to begin with, their food is over-priced and bland (Taco Bell has better, seriously). So I wasn’t thrilled with the notion of going there when a friend of mine came in from out of town, but he wanted to try it out so we went. We were seated and left for over twenty minutes, no drink order taken no menus handed to us… nothing! To add insult to injury the haughty waitress felt the need to chastise us as we were leaving! I could not believe the gall. Beneath contempt, completely unprofessional and just flat-out rude service, I don’t know how they stay in business with staff that behaves like that.

This place is LOL. Obnoxious server who threw knives across the table to people, was loud and pushy. Quesadilla was big enough, but the shells were stale and... why bother serving portobello mushrooms if theyre canned? They made the thjng even more gross. The margarita was a pathetic excuse of sweet & sour mix with a little Patrón which couldnt even help it. Tacky little packages of salsa and sour cream? No presentation effort whatsoever. Pitcher of water had floaters. Food system food served by a lazy, uninspired staff... Gross

I have to completely disagree with any negative reviews of this restaurant. Ok, is it authentic Mexican food? Not really. But is it delicious? Absolutely and then some. I grew up in Jamestown and still make a point of coming back to eat here whenever I get the chance, even though I now live in Baltimore. I would not stop home without eating here. I dont know what their secret is, but these are the most tastey tacos Ive had!

Best in town. Especially for those of us who grew up on their food and have moved away. Always a great homecoming spot to meet friends. The food is NEVER bad, tastes the same as when I was 12 years old, the year they opened. Gotta love Jim for keeping it the same....well I do love the expansions cause our crew could not fit in the original part. Keep up the good work!

I am a Fish Dinner Fan, and when I found that they offered a Haddock dinner, I was surprised. It was good too. I cant really stomach Mexican food, or spicy food, so I go for Fish. Fish dinners that are good, are hard to find in the area, so...if you like a Fish dinner w/ fries like I do, I recommend giving this place a try:)

Ive been to Taco Hut a few times and am always happy. The burrito with meat sauce is a delicious, original take on Mexican and could definitely be considered comfort food. Its a great value for lunch too! Today they even gave me a piece of cake for their 45th anniversary for this visit.

Taco Hut sucks! They dont serve shredded beef, and the manager was so ignorant. She had the nerve to tell me that shes never heard of shredded beef and shes worked there for 13 years. Save your money and your time and go to taco bell...seriously its way better.

Not the Taco Hut I remember. Tacos cheese was cold. Significant upcharge for salsa with your chips order. A meals price adds up very quickly for something they serve from a can or box. Slightly disappointing.

The foods great. I like the deep fried burritos and my husband likes the burgers and fries. The restaurant is always clean. You can take your time when eating there. They do not hurry you out the door.

Worst "mexican" food Ive ever had. Not sure how this place is still in business. Margarita tasted like it was just sweet and sour mix.... and the food was terrible.

Taco Hut is cheap, filling American Mexican fare. My family and friends enjoy it, the service is relatively fast, and they have some decent beers available.

Food and service is great, food prices are reasonable, love it! Drinks from the bar could be a little more reasonable but Im not there to drink anyway.
