My boyfriend and I were really looking forward to having dinner here and our experience was unfortunately disappointing. First off, the waitress seemed to have no personality. Throughout our visit, she never came to check up on us or ask us how we were doing. We ordered two glasses of wine, lobster bisque, and Nutty Faroe Island Salmon for entrees. We got the lobster bisque and honestly, it was pretty good! I only had two small pieces of lobster but I shrugged it off. Our entrees then came out and we had to remind the server that we still never got our wine. They quickly brought it out to us apologizing. We took a bite of our salmon and it was just AWFUL. The salmon was overcooked, it wasnt hot, and there was no taste to it at all. The description says "sautéed in a lemon caper butter sauce" but there was no trace of any lemon taste or any sort of seasoning for that matter. We actually asked for some lemon wedges so we could give the dish some flavor. We didnt even finish it because it was just unappetizing. We really wanted to like this place but we will not be returning. For an establishment who should hold seafood in high regards, this place most definitely fell short.

Legal Sea Foods is a step above normal mall chain restaurants by a considerable amount in terms of service, food, and price. Though it can pack in as many patrons as an Applebees, it feels more intimate. Service was very good and professional. The waiter had to spend at least 10 helping the next table over with wine pairings and describing every dish on the menu. The wine selection was excellent and the beer list had a couple of hidden gems as well. The calamari, Rhode Island style with peppers and garlic, was excellent and the spice cut the fried breading well. The mahi mahi was superb. The grilled flavor was incredible and the fish cooked to moist perfection. The butternut squash risotto was also very good, but way too much for me considering how heavy it was. The crab cakes are also incredible, lumps almost entirely crab, very little breading or filler. The shrimp and scallops were also tasty though didnt stand out as well. Prices were on the high side but worth it for the extra service and excellent food.

I Went here for the first time last week. Usually I go to Red Lobster. Went there about 9pm and went home at approximately 11:30. I woke up at 2:30 in the morning sick to my stomach and running back and forth to the bathroom. Called Legal Seafood they did respond right away. They claimed they found nothing wrong. I am not allergic to anything and I know this food got me sick. The main office claimed they dont know how I got sick. I looked up the symtoms on the internet and found mine! I know some people are sue happy but I didnt like the fact that she acted as if she didnt know if this was caused by this food. I am sure they inform her of the symptoms that cause food poisoning. Luckily my case was not a severe case.

Legal Seafood in Boston is much better. The staff at the Paramus Legals do not acknowledge the customers. The food was not up to standard compared to Boston. For instance, food was luke warm when served, small portions, and a staff speak to only the regular people they know from the area.. Staff did not ask once is everything ok sir, or do you need more water. Last year the experience was different the staff was way more attentive to customers requests, maybe because the general manager was there supervising the staff. Needless to say, I would not recommend the Paramus Legals Seafood. I will continue to patronize the boston Legals when Im in the area until I see a material change in service and decor.

I love coming here for oysters, mussels, and steamers, and recently the fish taco during happy hour. Fresh seafood, friendly staff, bartenders always try to make you feel like youre in a local pub, overall very enjoyable place. The 4 star or 3-1/2 if I could is for the inconsistency, food quality is below par once in a while. Like the oysters would sometimes have 1-2 in a dozen thats completely meatless, or the coleslaw might sometimes taste like its been sitting around for a tad too long, while the rest of the dishes being close to excellent. Little things...

decent, tiny inside though. I had the clam chowder.. i was slightly upset the clam particles, when i bit into it had sandy grains in their. I was sort of turned off after the 3rd bite into a clam. It didnt have much "seafood" flavor youd expect from a clam shower. Plain. Additionally, my boyfriend had gotten the lobster bisque. Not so much lobster flavor...it was over powered by sherry or some sort of cooking wine. Way too much cream. I am not sure if I would ever return for the soups. Okay experience. Better quality and time needs to be put into the food.

The service was indifferent and sub-par. The food was barely okay. My companions salad was almost all from the white, inner portions of an iceberg lettuce, while the my grilled trout was dry and the "steamed" broccoli was so hard I couldnt cut it with my knife. My companions crab-cake was good. The third person at the table liked the sashimi tuna, but had the same bland experience with her salad. It was a disappointment - especially considering their high prices. Ive eaten at the Bridgewater location and loved it.

Just average. We had lunch there yesterday for our third time. My crab cake sandwich came with lettuce and tomato on it, and the bun was slightly burnt. My wife had fish and chips and her fish was very good. Both of our orders came with fries that were good enough, but nothing special, and mayo free Cole slaw. Weve been to eight different Legal Seafoods and find it can be a little hit or miss. Providence and the two in DC are excellent, Boston depends on which one, NY and NJ are in malls and are just ok.
