I didnt like anything about my experience here. I ordered two dinner combos both with cream cheese wontons. Once we sat down to eat the first bites were like a scene from a horror film. There is processed canned chicken in the fried rice and egg foo yong. The cream cheese wontons were like rubber and there is more smooshy soggy breading i had to dig thru on the chicken than any visible protein. I called an experssed my complaints; asked to bring back order with 3 bites taken out of its entirety it an was told "we havent gotten complaints all day so i can remake for you but no refund." when it comes to food, if it is completley disgusting, why would i want to get it made again? Places like this do not care what they give you as long as they get their money for it. Theyll waste the food they have to "satisfy" customers when its because the food cost is a tiny fraction of what they sell it for. I absolutely hate establishments like this. Will never visit again.

I must say that I was pretty impressed. My order was ready quickly. The guy at the counter was really kind and appreciative. The portions are very generous. The food itself good. I Loved it. The lady thought it was OK. Sister thought it was pretty good. But I thought it was fabulous. The fried rice had so much flavor. The white rice was the perfect texture /moistness. The chicken was breaded, not battered which makes ALL the difference. So much flavor. Nothing special about the sauces, but they were good. Im very pleased and will definitely be going back.

We found this place when traveling on Christmas Day. They were one of the few non-fine-dining places open. The setting was informal (campus area), but the owner is really friendly. We all had dinner specials, and everyone loved their food. Big portions--I didnt think Id finish all of mine--but it was all so good we just kept going until it was all gone. The place is in the shadow of the UM stadium. If I were going to games there Id stop there after every game. A great value, great food, and a wonderful experience.

I havent actually eaten inside the restaurant because I normally get take out so my service relates only to that. I started going to Kowloon last September 09 and went for a month straight 1 day a week. I was astonished when I went there initially that the owner knew my name...but to remember my name after nearly 4 months of not being there is astonishing! Just shows how much they value their customers. Also, the food is much better than Hong Kong Noodles and Village Wok...IMO. Definitely check it out!

One of the BEST cantonese food Ive had. Their food tastes so similar to what I get back home. Nevertheless, they great prices. I love their braised duck with yams, BBQ duck, Beef hot pot, OMG... the list goes on. Sorry to those who had "bad" experiences there... but why the @#$% would you order cream cheese wantons and blaaaa fried rice in the first place!!! Thats NOT CHINESE FOOD! Order A la carte, it will surprise you.

The food at Kowloon is consistently delicious. The dinner special prices are higher because you get much more food. Every dish I have tried here so far has been delicious and when you compare the quality of this food to something like Coffmans "Panda Express", it becomes clearly obvious which is a better place to eat. The service at Kowloon is also unbeatable; if you are nice to the servers, they return the favor.

I love this place. First its the best place on campus, fast, good food, reasonably priced and everyone is very nice. I even got some free wontons one time just because the lady was in a good mood. So, for the other reviewers who thinks this place is horrible, go to the Noodles, Sallys or Coffmann union for some generic food. This place is authentic, great tasting and is worth visiting.

I think this is one of the best Chinese restaurants around the University Minneapolis campus. The decor is plain to none. The service is excellent and the foods are consistently good if I eat there. I never trust delivered Chinese food. I like my Chinese food freshly coming out from the wok, not 20-30 minutes later. I consider their Kung Po Chicken the best in the Twin Cities.

A gastronomical nightmare! The food is disgusting, cheap, and of poor quality--my egg roll was so freezer burned, I couldnt even eat it. My chicken fried rice was burnt, over salted, and dry, while the general tsos chicken was gummy. I was so extremely disappointed after reading such great reviews. Do yourself a favor: walk to the corner and eat at Hong Kong Noodle.

Great food, relatively "authentic" compared to some Asian places, food is done very quickly, even when theyre busy, and the people are friendly. Its a bit expensive for the college student if you dont get the specials, but I always make it into two meals. Its great you can see back into the kitchen as well. No mystery as to what its like when theyre cooking the food.

They provide authentic cantonese food, while some foods such as lunch special is similar to what you can find in Panda Express, etc., I am from Hong Kong and this places foods can be close to what I can find in home. Amy is a very nice owner and we got great service every time. Price is reasonable given their quality and quantity. So, go try it !!!

This place would be worth going to for the great service alone, but the food is delicious too! If you want unpretentious, sometimes deliciously greasy, Chinese American food, this place is #1. My authentic Chinese food loving friends tell me they do that well too if you know what to ask for. They are sure to have something you will love.

Just a tad expensive for dishes beyond lunch/dinner specials. However, food is authentic and service is great. For Chinese, their Chicken In Hot Pot was impressive. Chicken was well deep fried. It wasnt overly spicy that can be achieved with tons of hot peppers and chili sauce, but full of flavors. Will come back to try other dishes.

The owners are super nice and get to know you and your orders! Ive never had a bad experience here. The specials on the whiteboard are my favorites, the schezuan eggplant and the spicy chicken hotspot are favorites of mine ! If you cant read Chinese and want to know what something says just ask the owner and theyll happily help you.

I have eaten in Hong Kong Noodle and other chinese rest. around the area, Kowloon is hands down the best. Amy is great! Mr. Wong the chef is like no other. Yes, by far the best duck ever! You have to try it. Dont try the regular stuff they serve everywhere else, try thier specials, duck with yams, fish, tofu dishes, etc..

My family and I love this place. While they cater to "Americanized palates", they do have traditional dishes like Hot Pot as well. The food is very fresh and tastes amazing. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and attentive. They remember us each and every time. The Vegetable Fried Rice is a must have.

This place is one of my favorites for a quick bite. Service is always friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious, with ample portions and reasonably priced. The lunch or dinner combos get you a lot of bang for your buck, but the Salt Baked Aromatic Spare Ribs and Chicken in Hot Pot are my favs.
