I was excited to take my husband to one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville for the first time tonight. As usual, the food did not disappoint. However, I cannot convince him - or myself - to return after the service we experienced. We got there a little before 8:00pm, and there were probably eight or so tables eating dinner or finishing up. It took forever to get a server. He brought regular coke instead of diet. It took forever to put in an appetizer/soup order. We were ready to order our dinner at that point, but he ran off before we could get that across to him. He brought out the soups and then disappeared again. We finally got our dinner order in. A manager filled my husbands drink, this time with the right thing. Our food came and was great. The server offered to refill our drinks. We confirmed with him that we had diet, and he again brought regular. We finished and waited forever for a check. And all of this waiting isnt because the server was overwhelmed or busy with other tables. It was because he was doing side work and bussing empty tables so he could get out of there. Its not like we sat down at 9:25 for a 9:30 closing time. We sat before 8:00! I have no idea why the server didnt want to wait on us. I am a former server myself and would never walk by a table with a credit card up in the air starring at me waiting for my help so I could instead grab dirty dishes off an empty table! To add insult to injury, when the check was closed out, and I was still waiting on a box for my food - my husband went to the restroom. The bartender didnt notice me still sitting in the corner of the dining room and started to talk about us to the server. He promptly cut her off before she could finish her statement. The only thing I can figure is that we were standing in their way to getting off work and annoyed them to have to stay and serve us. I would advise the management to close at 8:00pm if your staff wont attentively wait on tables after that time.

Horrible service, the same plate was ordered 3 times at my table and 2 of the plates were warm in the middle but cold on the edges (tells me it was microwaved) then the third was just plain cold. When my friend voiced her concern, the waitress then proceeded to argue with her saying No it just came off the stove, I mean ARGUED with her, to the point where I wanted to shout Put your finger in the food and feel for yourself how cold it is!. Then the actual taste of the food was very bland, I ordered the saute chicken and veggies which doesnt come with a specified sauce but still. I had to drown it in soy sauce in order to taste anything. Then to top it off our waitress tacked on a 20% tip to each bill for herself which is very generous compared to what we wanted to give her.. Will NEVER return nor will I suggest to anyone.

I ate here with my family, the food was cold and overpriced. I parked in their parking lot, and then when I went to find my car.. I found it was towed. I asked the chef where the hell my car was, and he said they tow if you park and dont eat. I shower him my receipt.. And he then pretended not to speak English. Long story short, I will be calling the BBB and complaining. I had to pay 75$ to get my car back. Never will I return.

Best Chinese in Louisville. Great Dim Sum. Hot and Sour soup is a meal. Egg rolls are at the top. Only issue is that Hot and Sour and egg rolls are DIFFERENT, not as good on the buffet. Speaking of the buffet, the actually change out pans before the food dries out. Final comment, on Weekends the place is full of Chinese people. Nothing can speak better for the food and service

What a terrible experience, worst part was Chef Looi. Would never return to this place especially with the way we were treated. One would think the head "CHEF" would care more about the people eating at his own restaurant. The lack of compassion he has is a disgrace to restaurants of Louisville. August Moon has no place in the restaurant scene and I see them on their way out.

Great asian food! You can find quite a few things here that you would find at your typical chinese takeout, but the quality is vastly superior. I ordered some sesame chicken and the vietnamese rolls and it was fantastic. Also my friend ordered a cocktail and i had a sip and it was superb as well. Perfectly sweet and fruity. Will be back.

Extremely underwhelming. The dishes are practically the same as cheap takeout food at any of the other local Asian dives. Aside from a nice atmosphere, I dont understand what the attraction is here. Expensive as well. Would recommend going to China Inn if you want similar quality food for a much better price. :(

My husband and I eat here frequently and have never had a really bad meal until tonight. Food has been inconsistent in the past but never really bad.. The Snapper, a signature item, was so over seared that it was dry cardboard with a sweet sauce. It was terrible! I will not be returning.

Food was good ,hot and sour soup had too much of a sweet taste. Service : the waitress was very timid and obviously not trained for proper service therefore very disappointed with service ! Thankfully we enjoyed ourselves with good company and a very delightful atmosphere.

Best Chinese Bistro in town. They have the best eggrolls with spicy mustard which if you are not careful it will really hit your sinuses. Favorite dishes are Grand Marnier Orange Beef and Spicy Chicken and vegetables. Nice atmosphere and always good service.

August Moon has always been my favorite. I have read some of these reviews and cant believe you really even went there. I have been going since they were in the little bike shop space. Its amazing food. You need to go or you are missing out!!!!!

Great lunch spot, conveniently located for those downtown, in Clifton, the Highlands or St. Matthews. Easy to get in and out for lunch, without feeling rushed. Appropriate lunch portions of quality Chinese dishes. Good value for good food.

The food tasted and smelled like it was marinated in urine. Horrible! If you want good Chinese food goto Wok Express in downtown. Its a hundred times better than this place and much cheaper. Waaay overrated and outright awful if you ask me.

Friendly and prompt service, gorgeous restaurant, nice vibe, very open air. Stopped for lunch, had the salad with seared Ahi tuna. Fish was fresh and prepared well, greens were fresh, salad was delightful and had just enough dressing.

The service was wonderful. they have yummy mints until your food gets there, and the food is delicious. It is also pretty. If I have eight cows and 3 iPads, how are trees are there in Luxembourg? Green, because zombies eat cake.
