Bartenders arent friendly, half of the time they are drunk. I have never been in this place when there wasnt a fight, or someone that was way over-served causing trouble. This place could be really great. I get that it is a cool building with a lot of history but this place is a mess. Plain and simple. This is a place where people get wasted. Their shirt says it all "Helping ugly people get laid."

My wife and I rented a place up near the tavern. Upon walking in we where greeted like we lived in the area our whole lives. Not only is the food amazing with good portions but the local community who live here make you feel welcomed and at home. Me and my wife will be making regular stops here whenever possible. OH, try the bloody marys, get it muddled!

Good service. Amazing burgers. Good drinks. Bad coney island. Instead of coney sauce they used marinara. The menu does not state this discrepancy. I was tricked and it was not tasty. Otherwise a good old folks bar.

Had a couple of beers there St Patricks day this year. Bar staff friendly and efficient and handed me two when I paid for one tee-shirt. Brightwood Tavern and their Slug Race tees are proudly worn in NZ.

Super fun local bar with video poker loud crappy digital juke box and Jell-O shots! What else do you need? Fried chicken is the best on the mountain, just call ahead if its getting past 7.
