Very judgemental staff and patrons, I dont go out often and decided to take my fiance here, the bar tender pretty much rolled her eyess at us when we ordered our drinks which took about 5 mins to get her to stop chatting with Im guessing the regulars, I understand I dress a little more urban than the usual crowd here but would expect the same service. The second time we went to ordered it took forever for her to serve us also, as she kept giving me the "one minute" finger she would serve people who would just be coming up to the bar which Im also guessing were regulars or her friends either way they were more socially like her but I had to wait until she was done chatting with them and drinking bought shots for her until she finally served us our under poured and over priced drinks. Ive never felt so out of place and judged, I will definitely be going somewhere else next time we decide to go out whenever that may be

Art Bar in riverwest is a staple in the neighborhood. (Now that the smoking ban is in effect, its an even more enjoyable, in my opinion anyways.) Art Bar is a mesh of a neighborhood bar, a LGBT friendly bar, live music/DJ venue and an art gallery. Visit during the summer and enjoy the outdoor seating... just be sure to watch your valuables, as you are in riverwest. (and ive seen purses get stolen even in crowds of people. just use common sense and youll be fine)

A great mix of people, interesting atmosphere with some cool art from various artists and it is overall an awesome bar that is always inviting for those into libations and those that want something less intoxicating, not to mention my dog enjoys himself at the Art Bar as well. In a way it goes beyond welcoming all sexual orientations in that no one really notices because you always get the feeling that when you step through the door everyone is the same.

I have stopped going to Art Bar despite its proximity to my home because of the bored, rude attitude of the bartenders. There are a few who have worked here over the years who defy the norm, but my custom has been treated as a burden so often at this place that I no longer wish to take my chances. Ill head over to Nessun Dorma instead- the drinks are less expensive and the staff is much warmer.

This is one of the better bars in the Riverwest area. The atmosphere is unique with local artists work hanging all over the bar. There is a massive beer selection as well as some snazzy mixed drinks. Best part of this bar, dogs are allowed inside. Now you dont even need to call a friend to go to the bar, just bring your dog and you arent drinking alone!

The atmosphere is incredible, the pizza is delicious, the "mystery beer" is a fun way to get drunk for cheap, and its a great artist drinking spot. Last time we were there, it took over 45 minutes to get our pizza and other people got theirs first, and thats the second time that has happened-- beyond that, though, its a great place to be.

Friendly, open, inclusive bar with fantastic art and nightly specials. Pool table, electronic dart board, and loads of board games to borrow. Great for a date, an outing, or a quiet night with a bit of work to catch up on. Live music is sometimes a little deafening, but they also own a quieter, darker place next door: 2.

Such a great place. First of all, its a friendly place to hang out. The staff and most customers are nice. There is a great bottled beer selection. It is a resource for the arts community. Its welcoming to dogs. And they have great frozen pizzas. Grab a beer. Chill with your dog. Buy some art.

The music is always interesting. The atmosphere is great, always friendly ppl. If ure into pool its free every Monday. Ohh the drinks vary from hot,warm or cold depending ur personal taste. :-) lgbt friendly and amazing art. Personal favorite neighborhood bar!!!

I have been a patron of Art Bar since it opened over 13 years ago. I love the atmosphere, its dog-friendly and the art always changes. The owners have made the block an anchor in the Riverwest neighborhood. Always a good time to be had.

Cool that they let dogs here. Ok happy hour and Tuesday specials. A couple great bartenders but the rest can be rather dry and antisocial, and bottle prices are 1-2 dollars higher than other bars nearby. Room for groups makes it useful.

No draught beers. All beer bottles/cans start at $4.5 and go right up. This place is kinda quirky so if thats your thing you should like it. Otherwise its a pretty run of the mill bar ... that doesnt have any draught beers.

Love this place. Great happy hour deals, casual and inviting environment. If you like art or not, its a good place to chill with friends. Parking isnt too bad either, there are usually open spots on the street.
