Some of the tacos here are awesome! And the street corn! Crowded and slightly pricey for a neighborhood pub (albeit a little fancier one, just a little), its cozy and comfortable. Has a similar feel to Gennas on the square. Supposedly it is operated by the same folks, so that makes sense. All orders are placed at the bar so dont just sit there waiting for a server. Cash only, but theres an ATM on site. Bar staff are typically busy but are friendly and wont ignore you even if they take a few minutes to get to you. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

Best tacos in Madison. They did a great job remodeling the place, too. Its open, friendly and located in one of the coolest neighborhoods in the City. I tried many tacos in my life. Been to Mexico City half a dozen times, had some amazing tacos there, so I can say with confidence that the Ohio Tavern tacos really stand up. Great fresh corn tortillas, wonderful mix of flavours, many options and not buried under a pound of melted cheese. Good job Ohio Tavern! Next time Ill try their tamales.

This small little bar has awesome street corn, tacos, and other mexican fare. They have karaoke on weekend nights, which is very fun. The bar was cash only when I was there, but there was an ATM on site. Servers were fun, service was fast and friendly (despite how loud it was in there). Highly recommended for a fun night out.

Not a good place to go dont play on the machines someone might boot you off if you are winnin a fair amount and claim they were sittin there first thats what happen to me I got kicked out for winnin a fair amount of money on their slot machines

Best hole-in-the-wall in Madison. The 3rd bar to open in Madison after the repeal of prohibition, the Blatz sign outside always makes me feel right at home. Pool, jukebox, and some kooky masks collected by the owner.

This establishment used to be a hole in the wall, awesome cabbage patch kids dolls nailed to the wall. Just quirky! Now its a dumb hipster bar. It is not a hole in the wall, kinda lame. Good whiskey though...

I enjoy the Ohio tavern very much. VERY friendly and attentive staff. Good drinks and great regulars! A wondefrul Madison institution more people should try. The pizza and homemade cheese bread is awesome!
