Unbelieveable! Cute place, nice hostesses, but managed POORLY! We actually walked out today because we couldnt get served! Our party of 5 were seated immediately by a friendly hostess and given menus. We sat and looked over the menu for a good 10 minutes deciding what we wanted, all the time waiting for waitstaff to greet us and take drink orders. No one ever came. This place was not that busy. We watched the table next to us get cleared of apps and served again. More people were seated on the other side of us. Wait staff milled around, hostesses walked by 3 to 4 times, still no one had ever come to our table. 20 minutes in we tried to flag someone down and were ignored. The final straw was when the people that were seated right next to us 15 minutes AFTER we were seated, were waited on. At that point my mother-in-law leaned over and said to the waiter "Excuse me, weve been sitting here for 20 minutes and no waiter has even come to our table! Whats going on?" The waiter said "Uhhhhh, I dont know, but I can go check." Then he turned his back to us and continued with the other table. Unreal...its like we didnt exist!! Never been ignored like this. We got up and left after 25 minutes and having never even been able to put in a beverage order!!! PS...this was the SECOND time we had this happen here. The last time was 6 months ago. We decided to give it a second chance figuring one slow service night was a fluke. NOPE. Definite habit with them. But when we did manage to get food there it was decent,. I guess take your chances if youre feeling special.

I should have made this review a long time ago, but I was sure it was simply an isolated incident, but, as something much like it has happened again recently, I decided I needed to post my original Postmark Grille horror story. Immediately as I walked in, I was greeted with a young, smiling hostess, and immediately taken to a spacious booth. Thats where the good review ends. I was in a booth with my husband, and could clearly see the kitchen from where I sat. I made eye contact with the man who was clearly serving in my section, as he spent his attention on every table surrounding my husband and Is, but never on my husband and I. We sat waiting for service for 20 minutes, then gave up, so went to sit at the bar, where we were almost immediately greeted. I watched as the host staff cleared off my husband and Is table, and then sat a new group of 4 there. They were immediately greeted by the exact same server that had ignored my husband and I for 20 minutes. Then, an older man, I was told that he was the boss (I believe the woman told me his name was Ross), came and began to assert himself to me, in front of my husband, no less. Very soon after that, we left, cancelling our order, and instead went the Smiling Moose. Service at the Smiling Moose was amazing and they had very good wine for a low cost. Overall, save your money by going to the cheaper, but yet superior, Smiling Moose.

Postmark Grille is a definite highlight of the downtown Hudson area. Modified from the former post office building, Postmark Grille really highlights and respects the history of the building through smart and informative decorating. The atmosphere is very nice and they can seat small or large groups adequately. There is even a private room that used to be the vault! I am familiar with the owners from their Village Pizzeria in Amery and the food at Postmark is just as good as their other restaurants. Italian inspired dishes, fantastic salads with homemade dressing (try their ranch), and a stellar drink menu and selection. Their pizza is really good, although somewhat polarizing since it is not your Americanized Dominos or Pizza Hut pizza. You cannot go wrong with pasta or seafood. Their seafood alfredo is to die for and you will not go home hungry. Like most places downtown Hudson, you are likely to wait for a seat at Postmark Grille, but with buzzers available and a nice outdoor sitting area, the wait is tolerable and well worth it. The staff is quick and friendly, bartenders are fast and efficient, and the chefs do a great job. Try Postmark Grille - youll thoroughly enjoy the experience.

Went with my brother-in-law and wife and, as Peyton L. wrote in his review, seated in booth where my husband could see in the kitchen. Took our server, Leah G. a long time to take our drink orders then we waited again to place our food order. We waited, and waited and watched as others came, ordered and got their meals. We waited and waited. Finally I got her attention and asked where our food was. She starts rambling on about the chefs wife was run over and they were short staffed and on and on. She spent her time chatting with a couple next to us, and a couple at the bar. We wait some more. When she came I asked her for water as my beer tasted skunked. She comes back, slams my water down and walks off. When our burgers finally arrived, they were lukewarm. My sister-in-law never got her potatoes, my husbands soup was cool. We asked for our bill. Again, we wait, wait, wait. Then Leah comes back with water to fill our glasses when all we want is the bill so we can get out of there!! She starts on again about the chefs wife!! She was nothing but full of blaming others rather than taking responsibility for ignoring us!!! Poor, poor service.

My Fiancee and I came out here for a date night a few weeks back, and we loved it. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere is lovely, and the menu is filled with numerous great options. She ordered the Jack Daniels Grilled Chicken and I got the Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich. Both were delicious. The thing that amazed me the most is that with an appetizer, drinks, and two entrees, our check ended up coming up under $40. For this quality level of food and service, you cant beat that price. Last night we brought out our family and friends, and the staff reserved a private room for our gathering as a courtesy. We did not know that was an option, so it was a pleasant surprise when we showed up. The staff went out of their way to make it a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back!

Very neat building. Martini was 2/3 water. Food was good but not great. Zero for presentation. Parm Crusted Chicken was frankly unappetizing as plated. Biggest disappointment was that drinks, salads, entree served all at the same time by different servers. No coordination. Felt rushed even though many open tables. Never offered dessert but the chocolate/ice cream place across the street is really really good. Overall, great potential. Good food but overall experience not so good. Needs better management. We love Hudson so I hope problems get ironed out. Maybe try again in a year.

My husband and I went to Postmark last night, and were totally Wowed! by the entire experience. The atmosphere is very charming, the staff was quite friendly, and the food was... In.credible! He had the special: lamb chops with roasted root vegetables -- which was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I chose to have the Torsk, parmesan crusted, with garlic mashed potatoes. Oh mgosh. It was heavenly! We both had the salad option, before meal, and the creamy Italian dressing is made out of magic! We will definitely be going back!
