I had breakfast at this restaurant a few weeks ago. I recently saw an ad in the paper for them and remembered that I wanted to leave some remarks. I was greeted as soon as I entered and quickly given a table. The waitress was really nice and suggested some of the meals. I had the eggs benedict which came out looking good and tasting even better. I noticed many people coming in while I ate so I assume this is a popular place in Tacoma. I signed up for their frequent customer program on the little iPad they had at their front desk and got an additional 10% off my bill. Overall, very pleased with the service, the great breakfast and experience. Thank you Ben Dews, you really have a wonderful restaurant and I will be back soon!

If youre looking for the perfect sit-down restaurant, look no further. The moment we walked in the front doors, there was on our left a beautiful booth. Not only was it well maintained, but the genuine leather upholstery was magnificent. Unfortunately we only had the pleasure of sitting there for a minute or two before we were ushered to our table. It was a booth, and this was definitely the highlight of the night. As I bent my knees and slid graciously onto the booth, my body instantly knew it was in heaven. The cushions were supportive of my lower back, yet somehow incredibly soft. During our stay I actually began to forget the fact that I had a body at all since it was so perfectly supported by the booth.

FAB food & service. Price-friendly for seniors (or anyone else for that matter). Ive been eating there for the past year and the quality is consistent, the standards (thank you, Chef Ramsey) are always high, they make REAL food - - not something frozen from a bag that they are warm up and they are always warm and welcoming. Ive read the bitchy reviews and dont know what the hell restaurant THEY were eating at but it wasnt this. (The crepes are yummy and so is the biscuits and gravy.) Feel safe when you make a decision to eat there. They hire people who KNOW how to cook and then give them really good raw materials to prepare. The only minute criticism is that I wish theyd use REAL french fries.

I dont know what anyone is talking about if they dont like this place. Youd have to be crazy. Ive been going here for years. Its always been a tradition for my mother and I to come here when we get together. I can honestly say HANDS DOWN that they have the best customer service I have ever witnessed...ever...anywhere. They are so sweet and kind. Not to mention their food is AMAZING! Their Swedish Crepes are TO DIE FOR! & I LOVE their buscuits & gravy! My boyfriend and I also loveeee to come here on our anniversarys or just for a treat when we have the money. This resteraunt & red robins are alwaysss my top picks. One of the best places to eat that Ive ever experienced.

Safe to say this is a older crowd clientel. Generally decent old fashioned food. Not inexpensive though. Ive been here quite a few times Unfortunately some Genius must have gone to Home Depot and purchased a case forof fluorescent light bulbs to relamp the entire restaurant. Results are just fine if you want a bright eye piercing light to eat your dinner by. The lighting would be great for garage lighting to help you see when changing out an engine. Hint. Fluorecent lighting available in a much warmer color. Advise you to Bring sunglasses!

I have been to this restaurant many times over many years. The staff are really friendly, thoughtful and helpful (in case you are not sure what to order). They have a very broad menu and breakfast anytime you like it. I would not recommend them for Thanksgiving dinner (they didnt have their usual staff, and the holiday fare was a little subpar) but the rest of the year every day is great. Their homemade soups and desserts are very special as well. Take a sweater if you tend to get cold :)

My wife and I go here way too often. Its always to answer to the "where do you want to go" argument. The food is great. The staff is prompt and the atmosphere is very family-friendly. If youre ever asking yourself should I go to Sharis or Dennys? stop and come here. The food is better and you can get a beer.

I like it and lots of comfort foods. Its nice and quiet even when full so I appreciate that. There are so many places to try in that area but you should give Ben Dews a couple visits. Update 3-21-17 There is no longer a loyalty program so Ben needs to stop texting and promising discounts!!

Breakfast was pretty awesome. If the hashbrowns are always like that I will marry them, seriously. Perfect crispness on the outside and tender center. Most cooks cant nail hashbrown, ben dews did. Chicken fried steak was very good too. Well done ben dews, well done.

The employees seemed like they hated life. Maybe management suck, I dont know. We werent greeted by the one at the counter as we walked in, or sent farewells after we paid. No one really smiled or showed personality. Food was edible, but this wont be a go-to for us.

Food was okay when going to a local eatery I guess I was just expecting more of a local family owner feel . Waiter didnt even ask how our food was and wasnt even greeted upon entering or leaving . If Im looking for excellent service its obviously somewhere else

The crab eggs benedict was pretty light on the crab, it covered less than half of the English muffins. The coffee was good, steak is decent, service was friendly. Overall a good breakfast experience, but the pricier menu items dont seem to be worth the cost.

Stopped in for lunch for first time. Handmade burger. Plate full of tots. Clean, comfortable place. Friendly staff. Great quality food at fast food prices. Consider stopping here instead of pulling into a drive through. Ill be back to check out breakfast!

Over the past few years I have come here and the food is great, service is great but last night my car was broken into via window smashed out. Apparently it has happened about 4 times in the past 2 months alone. I would be careful where you park.

Came her for the first time a few days ago .. Was not greeted at door was served bacon so burnt it would break when I picked it up and biscuits were stale .. Although food was not good waitress was very nice and replaced our food.

I was always suspicious of this place. I dont know why because Ive always had a good meal. Its never too crowded and they have a large bar. They have daily food specials and great soup. The service is fast and friendly.

Ive been going here since it was reopened by one of the Tweetens. Great food and atmosphere. Their Monte Cristo is delicious. Pretty much the only thing my son will get for the past 6 years. Great family restaurant.
