UPDATE: I havent been able to really enjoy anything of theirs in a long time. What I DO eat, I end up... eating just to not waste it rather than *enjoying* it. Their Kouign Amanns look sad or "deflated" these days - and as I have some extreme restrictions to my diet now (I have narrowed it down to being an enzyme deficiency), I thought I would try one of their coconut macarons since it had no ingredients on my "avoid" list. I was confused about it because it had no cookie. It was literally just a ball of creamy coconut with toasted crispy outsides. Why do they call this a macaron? Its NOTHING like their OTHER macarons. I am sad and confused with Le Reve. :/ --- I run on sugar, and am addicted to sweets. I also suffer some... complicated stomach problems as well as MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity.) That being said, I usually get ill when I indulge in sweets. Le Reve has never hurt my stomach though. And their foods are absolutely wonderful. Due to their food never hurting me, I have fallen in love with this place. Ive eaten my breakfast here almost every day for the past month. Ive tried many different things and will continue to explore their variety of deliciously fresh baked pastries as long as they are around. They also have beautiful salads and offer more savory options Ive yet to try, but will eventually. Perhaps Ill give another review once I do, but for now... Guh this place is straight out of a fairy tale and simply divine, you must try them!

Stopped in earlier today hoping to find a good/decent baguette. Ended up paying $5.45 (!!!) for a squishy, mediocre loaf of sourdough in the shape of a baguette. If youre going to advertise yourself as a French bakery, then make sure you actually know how to make French baked goods. This "baguette" lacked the necessary "crunch" from the crust that is the marker of a good baguette; a few more minutes in the oven wouldve been nice. Frankly, I couldve gotten a similar, if not better, one from Trader Joes down the street for less than half the price. On another note, if a croissant costs more than $2.00, theyre robbing you blind. The croissants here were over $4.00. Support businesses that make quality, well-priced goods, not overpriced, cheaply made garbage like this

If youre looking for an authentic French bakery, look no further than Le Reve - located on Queen Anne Hill two doors down from Queen Anne Books. The croissants are to die for and are the most authentic Ive tasted other than in France. The drip coffee is an espresso bean and the refills are cheap .You can order delicious breakfast and lunch items off the menu. The handmade pizzas are my go-to for a quick lunch on the run. Desserts are top-notch and the staff behind the counter are friendly. There is outdoor seating on the patio in front, so get your summer on and check out Le Reve.

Think about the best croissant sandwich you have ever had in your life, now take that and put it on a private jet on the way to Napa valley. Mid flight serve it caviar and a bottle of Dom Perignon White Gold Jeroboam. When it lands you pick it up in a Lamborghini and take it to a spa and let it get a massage over looking all of the vineyards. The way that sandwich would feel/taste is the only thing comparable to the sandwiches at le reve. SOOO FLAKY.... Also really good hot chocolate.

Cute French bakery and cafe, though the pastries are what seem to shine! Great ambiance and decor for enjoying a coffee or small bit, with gilt frames hanging from the wall and a table made from an old door. Plenty of seating later afternoon on the weekend. I resisted the pastries and got the breakfast salad -- a little smaller than I expected for the price on a 9" plate but the mustard dressing was delicious. Id love to come back when Ive earned an indulgence.

Other bakeries in the area do a better job. Out of several baked breakfast items, but werent serving lunch items. Makes it hard to serve customers. Choices were very limited to begin with so it was interesting. Food items were really sweet. Would be nice if other flavors could come though as well. Place is marketed as french, but definitely is not. Prices are too high for what you get here.

My cousin and I fell upon this delightful spot from a recommendation from a woman walking down the sidewalk. We found it everything she said and more! The atmosphere was just the casual rest we were looking for and the food was scrumptious! I dont know that Ive ever had a sandwich that tasted so good. All the flavors blended perfectly. Yum! Ill be going back whenever Im in the area.

I dont know what they do to make their croissants taste so good. Its probably the fresh ingredients. This is one of the best bakeries or cafes in Seattle. The price is worth it for a lunch you will never forget. Its popular for a reason. Theres more seating outside during the Summer, but maybe theyll expand inside a bit some day soon.

Coffee was ok with no art. Lot of people behind the counter and people scrambling to help customers. Perks of staying here is out door seating. Good for people who have pets or would like to get fresh air instead of staying indoors. Maybe I will give them another try, but a Bakery should have pretty good coffee. Just a thought

Замечательная разнообразная выпечка. Всё очень вкусно. Место уютное. И от непогоды есть где спрятаться, и на улице столики для погожих дней.

Really amazing bakery. This is one of my favorite bakeries and lunch spots. We stop by here for lunch often and everything we got so far was great. Its also hard not to pick up a sweet and they are really amazing. Our favorite so far is the triple baked almond croissant. Really tasty.

This is a wonderful coffee-bakery shop in the Queen Anne neighborhood to relax and enjoy great coffee and baked goods. We love to sit outside in the little garden courtyard to enjoy the ambience of the neighborhood while eating delicious food.

Very pricey for standard pastries and baked goods. Salad was also pricey. That being said, the food was fresh and tasty and there was a nice homely atmosphere. Tables were a little squished on top of each other however.

Espresso and cappuccino are disgusting and sour. Double baked chocolate croissant is actually a cookie, not a croissant. Trust 2 guys who moved here from France. There are much better bakeries in the area.

Horrible service, dirty tables everywhere when we walked in. There was a hair floating in my cup of coffee. The cup of clam chowder was good, but tiny. No bread or crackers with it. Im not coming back.

There it is, in the midst of a seemingly residential neighbourhood. Unexpected treasure with delicious pastry treats. If youre driving about in the neighbourhood, take a coffee break and visit them.

Cozy place! Sometimes there is a long line; I would suggest going earlier than later if youre going on a weekend. Ive ordered the breakfast sandwich on a croissant and very much enjoyed it!
