Husky Deli is a West Seattle staple (and it shows). The place is packed, nearly every day. Locals speak of it as if its been there forever, because, it basically has been. Most of the employees grew up here and take pride in their work. The Ice Cream is mostly great and made on the premises. They also sell it in bulk tubs to take home (for extremely reasonable prices). They offer generously-sized scoops and heavily-packed milkshakes. You never go away feeling ripped off, like you do at some of the newer parlors in Seattle. They also offer a deli sandwich counter where you can order customized whole or half sandwiches (using mostly Boars Head products from what I could see), along with homemade side salads and soups. Theres seating facing the windows, at the front of the store, and a few tables outside on the sidewalk. If you care about wine, they do have a fairly large selection in the back. Definitely check this place out and grab a freshly made waffle cone full of your favorite flavor during a hot day. Just be sure you really love the flavor, because the scoops are enormous.

I cant recommend this place any higher. Jack, his family, and his team are like everyones family friend. In this day and age of declining civility and impersonal transactions, coming to Husky Deli is, and has always been, a breath of fresh air. If Im even sorta nearby Im stopping in. Like sandwiches? The sandwiches are gigantic and tasty! My favorite is the Grilled Chicken Pesto Panini (I ask to add Mama Lils Peppers on it). They have many other sammies or you can build your own. Like deli meat? They have an amazing selection to buy in bulk for making your own sandwiches. ITS ALWAYS BETTER AND CHEAPER THAN ANY STORE AROUND! And its not any of that water pressed crap youll find at a Safeway. Like ice cream? They make their own. Like wine? Great selection. Like specialty sodas? Specialty sodas for days. Like crazy, unique mustard stylings from around the world. Yup, they got all that too. And a bazillion things Im missing in this my longest review ever. Husky Deli is one of the best things about living in Seattle. Not just West Seattle. Not just Alaska Junction.

Husky Deli is part deli part ice cream shop part grocery store. They have a wine selection in the back along with an assortment of non-produce items like pasta, crackers, cheese and jam. I did not try their deli but their ice cream is good. They have a great variety of flavors. The prices seem a bit high but for a single scoop they pretty much give you the size of any normal double. We asked to have a split scoop and got two scoops of each. The service was also very good! Its a family run store and many of the employees are related which is sweet. Our server was really nice and even gave us some tips about places to visit in Seattle. Overall a great family friendly place.

Very good ice cream, however, the entire place is chronically dirty. If its not the dust just waiting to fall from the wooden roof stuff and lights, or the ice cream splattered on every imaginable surface, its the black grime on the floors and oft touched surfaces, or the plentiful crumbs and gunk around the bar stool seating. It just seems like its being run on autopilot. While its theme and character are not appealing to me, I can see how it has its own neighborhood personality. People clearly flock to it. Ill choose to pass on it until I can see an increased focus on cleanliness.

We have walked by this deli so many times but never checked it out. My boyfriend finally decided to get a sandwich here a few weeks ago and he was not disappointed. He got their cuban (only offered during the weekend) and he LOVED it. So last weekend we stopped by for him to get the cuban again and i got a Turkey Reuben. It had a little too much sauerkraut for me, but I absolutely loved it. The thousand island sauce was crazy good, the turkey was flavorful and the bread was perfect! If youre looking for a sandwich I would highly recommend this place!

Husky Deli is one of the few spots in town you can get cajeta, locally made ice cream, and Haribo gummy candies in bulk. It has a truly eclectic mix of items, most european, that will probably make you wish you could afford that $8 jar of jam. But who cares? Its an awesome shop, and even if you cant afford the jam, theres probably something in there youve been looking for or wishing you could find in regular grocery shops. And, if not, you can drown your sorrows in lovely, lovely ice cream.

Ice cream is made there and worth every penny. Homemade waffle comes are the best. Always come to get the pint of rocky road which us my favorite bc it has the marshmallows and walnuts instead of almonds which is so f**king good!! And the oreo mint, yummmm... and it has chunks of oreos not crumbs but actual halfs of oreo pieces. But always call bc it says closed on Google but the deli closes early not the actual ice cream shop.

Theyre known for their sandwiches and ice creams. However, they do have many neat selections of other things - wines, teas, coffees, breads, chocolates, and candies! They have some packaged items (mostly food and condiments?) from other countries as well. Just wanted to mention all of those, but I usually just go for their grilled panini and their ice cream. The price is awesome and you can park behind the store!

Great service! Spent an afternoon there with my 6 year-old son and got some delicious ice cream. When my son accidentally dropped his drink and it shattered, he got upset because hed made a mess (not because he lost the drink), and the staff replaced the drink with a brand new one anyway. Really feels like that small-town store/deli that I grew up with.

I love this place. Great sandwiches (and good sandwiches are shockingly hard to find in West Seattle) but the star attraction is the ice cream. Their ice cream is my favorite in Seattle (especially the Husky Flake) , and stopping by Huski Deli for a cone at the end of a hot day is quintessentially West Seattle.

The hand crafted ice cream here is awesome! There is a huge selection of flavors so get ready. I tried the husky flake and cappuccino flavors and they are my favorites. There are long lines during certain times but u cant blame them. The ice cream is located inside a deli which looks odd but who cares.

I used to go here every week for my sandwich. Until they went.way downhill..July2011. Got my reg sandwich, got home to eat it & no meat on it. None. Upon complaint. I was told perhaps u should find a new sandwich shop. (&offered 75cents off my NEXT sandwich?). What happened to customer service ?

Delicious food in a casual, welcoming environment. The Londons Burning sandwich is phenomenal with or without the Dijon. Friendly staff and judging by the briskly moving line thats been there since before we arrived, the ice cream aint too shabby either. Will report back after nomming.

husky deli is a wonderful icecream shop in a great location. The ice cream is good, not the best in the world, but a nice stop when youre going by the junction. Love the place, wish they had more toppings, but i cant complain. If its sunny and you have five minutes, I definatly recomend it.
