Ive been a faithful customer at Village Square for over 6 years, and I must say their service is declining. The food here is consistently good, however the wait times are ridiculous on Saturdays and the service staff are slow to respond. I think the real culprit is the fact that food doesnt get completed fast enough from the kitchen. The last time I was there it took 30 minutes to be seated, an additional 10 minutes before the order was placed, and 15 minutes after that the food arrived. I had been at this place for nearly an hour before I ate. This is not a 5 star restaurant that is worth that kind of wait. It should never take over an hour to eat at breakfast at a restaurant. The food was good as it usually is, but I had to leave a $2 tip, because the service was awful. The straw that broke the camels back was when I had to go up to the cashier and pay for the meal, because I was ignored by the server once again. I work hard for my money, and I will not patronize an establishment with poor service. Im sure many other patrons dont care, or dont say anything because they are used to the mediocrity of most other restaurants in Redmond. In the past, service has been excellent. I do not blame the individual servers or cooks for this lackluster performance, I blame the management and ownership. They need to re-think their staffing and training methods and principles if they wish to succeed as a business. And for heavens sake, watch a few episodes of Restaurant impossible.

Great food. Very busy if you dont get in super early, so it can take a while to get seated, but thats because its so popular. Staff is excellent, and they squeeze a surprisingly large number of people into a small space. Be prepared to be elbow-to-elbow with strangers at a pair of 2 person tables pushed together in the middle of the room... But I can forgive all of that, and the fact Im paying $20 for an omelet and a couple pancakes because the food is unbelievable. The meat lover omelet will take a year off your life, but its worth it. Thick cut bacon, crumbled patty sausage, grilled kielbasa... Sooo good. And their pancakes are phenomenal. Buttermilk and Buckwheat alike. Whoever is cooking back there gives a damn because I didnt know that you could do what they do with a short stack. Rolling down there at 7 am on a Saturday or Sunday (Im and early riser) is becoming something of a habit. My diet doesnt thank me, but Im pretty okay with that.

This place is packed to the gills on the weekend, but if you can make it in on the weekdays, or withstand the wait, its worth it. You can always walk right up to the counter (which has surprisingly slow service, considering you cant get any closer to the register and the kitchen), though that may not be feasible for groups of greater than 2. The Corned Beef Hash is the BEST Ive ever had. Value for money is fairly good as well. You can order half orders (enough for 1) or full orders (if you like leftovers or food comas), so the portion sizes are good. The staff is fairly good, and while Ive had to wait for service here and there, theyve always been neutral to friendly. The kitchen is outstanding, as I cant think of anything Ive had that was underdone, unpalatable, or overdone. Ive been there about 6 times in the past 6 months.

Very standard diner breakfast. They serve lunch and breakfast all day, which is nice. There really isnt much on the menu that is innovative or truly vegetarian friendly (except breakfast because of all the egg, pancake, waffle etc options). The prices are really good for the portion size. Half portions were more than enough although I suspect they added more hash browns to fill up the plate. Veggie omelette without cheese was fine. Hash browns werent great. These werent quite cooked enough. Im usually not a big fan anyway. Lots of coffee fill-ups and great service in general. Popular and gets crowded quickly in the morning.

My pregnant friend orderd a cobb salad, picked it up, got back to work and there was no avocado. When she tried to inform the restaurant that they didnt add avocado to the salad she was brushed off. She called again to speak to a manager about how she was treated and then was told that they didnt serve avocado with the sandwich. Well, looking at the pictures on here and the menu, it says that it comes with silced avocado. The manager just said "well, next time you come, well do something. idk what." She then wrote a review on here and I guess yelp filtered it.

A friend and I eat a late, Saturday morning breakfast here every month or so. Although its very popular and youll have to wait for a table, you can sit at the counter as soon as a seat opens up. Despite being very busy, the staff have always been friendly. Theyll even give you a cup of coffee while you wait, and do a good job of keeping your cup full once you sit down. The food has always been good; the portions generous. Lots of items on the menu to choose from. I keep coming back.

This used to be my favorite breakfast place, and I still like the food. The service is spotty, depending on the server. I stopped coming here because its so crowded on the weekends that you have to endure a long wait either crammed up against crowds of people squashed behind the counter-or stand outside. They dont seem to turn over tables as quickly as they should, but they also really need to expand or move to a bigger place.

We came for breakfast on Sunday morning Actually close to noon. We are an older couple so standing outside waiting for a table was not an option. Inside was not an option either as there was no waiting area. We propped ourselves on a window ledge for about a 35 minute wait. Main problem was the noise factor. The waitresses were great and efficient. Someday, We will try a weekday visit.

Here is the scoop, the place is kinda small, the food is really good and the portions are worth every cent! Get here early if you do Breakfast, especially on weekends! Lunch? they do that too! I love the shakes and sandwiches here but the menu has much more, like meatloaf, salads, pasta and its ALL GOOD! I have not done dinner here, but I have at the sister place in cayon park, LOVED IT!

Staff was attentive, professional, and sharp looking. In my opinion they were a little over dressed with white dress shirts and slacks, but it made for a nice look in the front of the restaurant. I had the Migas, it was great! An acquaintance next to me had a short stack of pumkin pancakes with sausage and poached eggs, he had no complaints. In all Im very glad I stopped in.
