I loved this place and it was my go to spot for a long time! The food is good they have lots of local little pastries and lunch options (usually). The coffee is also the best you can get on the west side of Olympia. I gave 2 stars though because I was treated so bad here by the owner one day and havent been back since. I came in on a Sunday for lunch and to study with a friend like we did almost every week. But this week unfortunately they were out of all of their lunch options so we said no problem well be back in a little bit! We went next door to grab lunch and came back in to study and get coffee after. We got in sat down and set up our laptops and everything and planned to get coffee in a couple of minutes. However, after a couple of minutes the owner personally came over to us and said she would have to ask us to leave since we werent buying anything! I was so surprised and explained to her that we are long time customers who always come in on weekends to study and have lunch, but today they were all out of their lunch options so we had to go next door for food. I also let her know we would be ordering coffee in just a few minutes but didnt want it right this second because we were full from soup next door and didnt want the coffee right away. She then insisted we buy something right then and I replied I will absolutely buy something in a few minutes... She then shut all of the wifi off on us so we couldnt study. When I told her we were long time customers too she replied "Oh really? Well Ive never seen you here before". I was just shocked that we were treated that way by the owner. :( This was my favorite coffee spot on the west side, and I work and go to school in Olympia so it was super convenient for me. But now I drive to downtown Olympia to go to Olympia Coffee Roasters because the coffee is just as good and I am always welcomed there with kindness and Im never pushed to leave when Im studying. Food/coffee: 5 stars. Service: -1 stars No customer should ever be treated so rudely.

Coffee is great, most of the staff are friendly, I even enjoyed talking to most of them, but the owner is a real jerk, has a big chip on his shoulder, he did not like the way I look the first time I went in there, and he preceded several months later to take something out of context from a conversation I was having with someone, use it to make up something I supposedly said, claimed it offended him, as well as my opinion on a subject and kicked me out, dont go here.

this place said i was responsible for the genocide of my own people. the navajo. and all of the black americans living in america as a haitian priest. i saved evergreen from a school shooting and was put in prison for a guy hitting me in the face with brass knuckles over a movie script that launched a successful investigation into hilary clintons pedophile ring part of which was blocked by her aides demonstrating her guilt and the weight of such information.

Went here after someone recommend this coffee to me. Ordered an iced coffee and in return I got what tasted like coffee from the night before. On top of that the girl working the counter was very rude, glared at me the entire time. Ive gone back a few times to see if anything has changed and it hasnt. Drive a half mile more up the road and get better coffee at any of those little stands. Never again will I buy coffee from here.

OH MY LORD! I went to this coffee shop on a whim with my young kids. The coffee was wonderful! The ambience was great! The service was fantastic! The coffee is like night and day comparison with Starbucks. Obviously with Starbucks there is a brand to maintain over flavor and quality. I am not a Starbucks hater by any means. My eyes were just opened to the amazing tastes and smells at this wonderful coffee shop.

Whenever I am in town, I always make sure to stop by. Their teas are divine. As a tea drinker I tire of the Tazo Tea, its good but everyone has it. At Mud Bay Coffee the variety and quality cannot be beat. Plus it has a wonderful atmosphere that enhances to the experience. The staff really knows their stuff which also helps when I just cant decide what to try next.

Coffee was good. As far as ambience goes its what youd expect from a coffee joint on the westside. The two guys working were terrible. Terrible. Had to say it twice. Watched 3 customers leave without even being acknowledged, must be nice to be so successful that you can select customers. Teach these hipster kids customer service skills.

The coffee here tastes alright, isnt my favorite. But it is better than the bitter taste you get at Starbucks. There is a fireplace and a nice view of the city and hills in the distance. I have tried to study here and I just couldnt seem to focus, there wasnt very many people there but it was just too loud. The service is alright.

I wish I hadnt wasted my time! I waited in the drive thru for 10 minutes before I received my order. The coffee was okay the customer service was good and the price was reasonable but the wait was unacceptable. I dont think I will go back.

Cant remember exactly the name of what I had. Seemed like a caramel frappucino... but she mentioned something about a milkshake with coffee in it? Anyways, it was delicious. The whole atmosphere of this cafe is perfect :) Highly recommended.

I like it here but it has been hit or miss. The inside is nice but we usually do drive thru. My last few coffees have had a slightly harsh burnt flavor. Not sure if its the blend or yhe barista but other times its fine.

Ive been many times, they offer a great selection of sandwiches, pastries and Trops chocolate goodies. And amazing coffee, service is always stellar!! And its a GREAT coffee shop!! Quiet and comfy.
