Edit for new ownership as Rancho Viejo - Food is more expensive than it was before new ownership, and the beef is either a different cut, quality, or way over cooked. What I was used to paying $14 for I now pay $19, so I dont go there anymore. Instead, we drive to Mill Plain for Catedral, their food is amazing and incredibly well seasoned. Original review - Moved here in 2006, and the restaurant has been a staple in the familys diet since. Servers are extremely courteous, the food is amazing without too much garnish, the meats are seasoned deliciously and their portions are always filling.

Most of the employees dont speak English. And what little they do speak is impossible to understand i think for both of us. The conversation went something like this, i am sorry what did you say.The owner Jose is very rude. I would not recommend going to this restaurant . They also bought out the best breakfast restaurant as well and completely ruined it. Once again you cant understand anything , they raised the prices and lessened the food..

The food and the menu have gone down hill. Taco Tuesday is better ..... Not the taco meat has no taste and most of the food has so much cilantro in it that you cant taste anything else. I will not be going there ever again between the food and the service Im not sure what was worse. If you have a choice, choose somewhere else you will thank me .

New ownership it is now called El rancho Viejo and I absolutely loved the food here best Mexican food EVER. I had a super burrito and a strawberry margarita and they were delightful I would recommend coming here to everyone I know if you are thinking of going to a Mexican restaurant go here!!!

The best margaritas in town and the food is good too. You can pick anything at random on the menu and it will be good. If you ordered something and they messed it up even in the smallest way they will remake it the way you want it. They also pour in your favor too, if youre looking for drinks.

I have frequented this restaurant several times and have always received prompt, outstanding service, and excellent food. The staff presents themselves very well and the food is authentic. It is one of the better eaterys in La Center.

We moved to La Center 1 1/2 years ago and tried every Mexican restaurant. This is the best one, and eat here at any chance! Amazing salsa! Perfect if you like it spicy! Huge portions, very reasonable prices, and fantastic food!

Restaurant has a different name. El Rancho Viejo I think. Really good food and was served before we finished the chips and salsa, in other words the food arrived way faster than I expected and was delicious. Great margaritas too

Great Mexican food! Chicken fajitas are delicious. Warm, fresh chips served before dinner. If you dont like it you can drive your Prius back to Portlandia.
