This is located inside the New World market, its a really cool place to eat some ramen if your craving it. This is family owned restaurant immigrating from Japan-Hawaii-Washington State! I got to know the owners and they are very friendly and helpful. My wife and I shared the Shio special, that contains eggs, corn, bean sprouts, pork belly, and Shio (salty) soup. The flavor was on point and you can request mild or spicy! Also, theres an additional $2.99 if you want to add chicken kaarage which we got. They give you some tea upon waiting for your meal. I would definitely come back if I was craving ramen again! Come check it out!

The service was wonderful. My server was extremely cheerful, and looked as though she enjoyed her job. I didnt really believe that this place existed in a grocery shopping store until I saw the place, but that didnt diminish the taste of the food. I chose to try out #1 Takaya Taken, and chose the pork belly option. I also got a spam musubi. Both were really good! I especially thought the ramen was to die for. The rice portion of the spam musubi was falling apart a little bit towards the end, but it was really good, all in all. Portion wise, I thought it was a great amount. Very filling. I would definitely come here again!

We were looking for a good ramen restaurant on a trip south of Seattle. We looked on another review site (welp) and Takaya Ramen came up. We were a bit surprised to go in to a market in a half vacant strip mall to find it. But while its a pretty basic setup the food was great! The staff even all came up front and bowed in thanks after I paid, not something I ever experienced before and I felt it showed that they take their craft seriously.

One of the best ramen shops in the area! Stop in while its still one of Federal Ways hidden gems! The staff is professional and helpful, the ramen is flavorful and reasonably priced, and there has never been a wait. My only qualm is the atmosphere. The shop is almost too well lit, which is more of the building complexes fault than the shops. Again, if youre a ramen seeker then you must stop here and try a bowl.

Just came to try out the ramen after seeing this place shopping. The service was great. Attentive and courteous staff. Had their spicy tan tan ramen with the pork. The pork was good mix between the fat and the meat that melted in your mouth. The broth was spicy with a great nutty flavor that keeps you wanting more. Overall great place to eat though kinda expensive for a single bowl of ramen.

This place is in a Korean food Mart and was a tad bit hard to find, but well worth it, ramen is on point, place was freezing inside as it is near the super market door and has a open setting so bundle up, I ordered the spicey tan tan special and it was so flavorful with the pork belly and soft boiled egg yum, soup broth was outstanding will be coming back for more.

There are a bunch of Ramen restaurants in Seattle area. However, most of Ramen restaurants serve pork-bone "tonkotsu" broth. Which can be acquired taste. Howver Takaya Ramen serves chicken "torigara" broth. Which is smoother taste. Also Takaya serves homemade Gyoza (dumpling). Most of other places serve frozen Gyoza from the store.

Good ramen, but the doors are broken and stuck open making it frigidly cold inside the restaurant. Prices are reasonable, service is good. They have no condiments on the table though, and the broth needed a little bit more salt.
