Oh my f@$&!?! God, the Garlic Knots!! If you can make a meal out of them, do so with the order of 12 Garlic Knots. The Steak and Cheese sandwich was good. Not sloppily put together, not greasy. It looked and tasted good. The right amount of salt and the right amount of pepper. Onions were cooked nicely. Not soggy but still had a nice crunch to them. The pizza...its not bad. Its good but I read a review that this pizza comes close to tasting like New York City pizza. As a former New Yorker who has lived there for 32 years, this pizza is a far cry from NYC pizza. Again, its good pizza, but it is not New York City pizza. The atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly, not to mention that the waitresses were very cute :D I would definitely come to Pungo Pizza again. It gets crowded as it is a hot spot, so get there early. I was there on a Sunday at 1:00 pm and it was fairly empty. While waiting for the food, thats when people started coming in. Great place!

First time at Pungo Pizza and it did not disappoint. Drove down about 20 minutes from the Oceanfront in order to try a different pizza experience. The rural beauty and charm of Pungo itself adds to the experience. The Pizza and Ice Cream House seems to be a staple for local residents. The restaurant was very spacious with multiple seating areas and plenty of staff. It had a very relaxing, simplistic and country-like feel to it. And the place appeared very clean and spotless. I had the Supreme Pizza minus the pepperoni and it was delicious. The freshness of the vegetables (green peppers, onions, mushrooms and black olives) like they could have been fresh picked at one of the local farms that afternoon. Definitely a good pizza choice. My nephew had a Buffalo Chicken Wrap which he thoroughly enjoyed. Staff was very attentive and overall a very nice late lunch dining experience. Ill be making the drive down to Pungo for pizza again in the near future.

Never again! Went there with my kids and ordered a pizza for my son and the #2 meal deal for my daughter and me. I really love the food here but tonight did it for me. After being served by so many of the waitress there we fineshed most of our pizza and asked for a to go box and told them to bring the cinnamon knots to go as well. After about 20 min waiting for the check and several of the staff members asked me what I was waiting for one of them took my card with check and another person brought it back to me, I informed her I was still waiting for cinnamon knots and she asked me if it was on the check not once but twice after i had told her yes this was after she charged my card by the way she also stared at the box with the left over pizza like I was trying to get more or something. After she said she would check on them and walked away, another waitress came over and asked me the same thing. I left and would never come back.

My family and I go here at least every other week. Have been for years. Nothing can compare or come close to how good their food is. Everything is outstanding. Our favorites are the sampler platter and the hawaiian pizza.. The Garlic knots are to die for. Everything is ALWAYS fresh. The fried pickles and fried green beans are my husbands favorite. The pizza is perfect. Chewy, cheesy, and the dough. Mmmm mmm mmm. This is also a great place for kids as they have an arcade room in the back. You just cant go wrong here. And the dessert, I could go on and on. The service is excellent, always is. Just all in all the best place to go for a family get together, a celebration or just a week night dine in dinner. Very affordable. 5 stars all the way. Pizza hut, dominoes and every other pizza place dont stand a chance.

We moved to Virginia Beach in August, the biggest problem we had was finding a good pizza shop. Of course you always have your Pizza Hut, and Dominoes but they are not always reliable. We came from southern PA, where small little pizza shops are everywhere and is GREAT. Therefore when we moved here and tried to find a local pizza shop we had a hard time finding Great Pizza until I found Pungo Pizza. The restaurant is adorable and great for kids (in the back there are numerous video games for kids of all ages)...that is when I fell in love with Pungo Pizza. The Garlic knots are delicious and will fill you up. If you are looking for a family friendly pizza shop that is reasonably priced then you have to check them out!

My family and I went for dinner on my sons birthday and our party of 9 people had to sit at two different tables were we couldnt even see or talk to each other. Then we decided to leave and the hostess was at the front mocking us and the owner of the place was telling us to leave and she didnt even care if we left. And were locals and she helped out the tourist before us and while we were waiting for a table they skipped our name on the list. I dont recommend this place at all unless you want rude servic. Ill never be back to this joke of a place. Very unhappy.

fairly good! only been to this location twice, both times with family. I love the garlic knots, definitely a dish they are proudly known for. pizza is great as well, but I did order a Stromboli that was a little bit too burnt for my liking. and last visit it did take my food a little bit longer than usual to arrive, but I understood that it was dinner time on a Friday evening and they were quite busy. all in all, its a great family friendly place to eat but if youre suuuuper starving and angsty avoid eating there during the weekend dinner times :-)

Local color. Attractive dining room plus sheltered and screened picnic table area. Great place to stop after a visit to Sandbridge Beach. Theres a small arcade downstairs. A variety of pizza -- all good. In my opinion, this is the best "local" pizza. Good service. Good desserts. Its not fine dining, but its one of my favorite places in Virginia Beach. Plus, theres a Pokemon Go Gym there.

Food was awful I could not finish it. People there were very nice and we spent some time in the arcade but if you have had pizza from New York then you will hate this place. Its more like a franchise pizza. Not sure were they got the cheese from but it needs to be changed. Garlic knots were pretty good!

The food is good but the service is lousy. The last two times I went we cancelled the ice cream on one visit because after 30 minutes after finishing the entree it still wasnt at our table and the other time it took 35 minutes to bring the appetizer and 55 minutes to bring the pizza. Not going again.

Great pizza and ice cream kid friendly has lots of games such as pin ball ect... for kids while adults eat and relax and maybe drink a beer or two the kids can play. In the front of restaurant is for people who dont want the kids running around and want it a little more quiet.
