Wont be going back. I ordered the Wellington burger, and an order of rosemary fries. The burger was pretty good, but not worth the over $9 price tag. The fries were awful. Im not even sure they are fresh cut ( I also dont recall if they were advertised as such). If you get rosemary of garlic fries, all they do is sprinkle a little seasoning over the regular fries. It doesnt even stick to them. There is no possible way to justify spending $15 total for lunch at this place. They do offer a lunch special for 8.99 that is their regular burger, fries, and soda. They charge for any toppings on the regualr burgar though. I recall my friend got cheese and jalapenos. The cheese was 0.99 and the jalapenos were 0.49 extra. I prefer 5 Guys and getting whatever toppings I want included. The burger itself was better than 5 Guys, but if I factor in the value then its not worth it at all. The new soda machine is cool, but can cause a backup if there is a lunch crowd. Also, they give you a very small drink cup. I think it is a 12oz cup. Once you put ice in there, you have like two gulps of a drink. The dining area is very small, but we got there early enough and didnt have a pronlem finding a seat. I think our food took a little less than 10 minutes but we got there before the lunch rush and there was no line.

I have now visited BGR quite a few times (I live very close to the Sterling location), and Ive been consistently pleased. On one occasion (out of 20) my burger was overcooked, but the rest of the time it has been cooked perfectly, and it tastes great. The fries and milkshakes are also very good. In February they served a Suracha burger that was pretty amazing, but generally I just get their basic burger with some bacon on it. Just so you know, this is not a fast food joint. Ive noticed a lot of the reviews have a problem with the price and the wait time. So if you havent been there already, be warned, it is more expensive than most burger places and it will take a good 10 or 15 minutes to get your food. If you want cheaper and faster then theres a McDonalds around the corner. Simply put, this place is a nice, neighborhood burger joint.

Despite the other reviews, we went here for lunch and we (3 of us) dont know what theyre talking about. The lunch special for $8.99 is about normal. I can see the music being a little loud, but with the doors open, its fine. Plus its not bad music either. I had a standard burger with cheddar and it was great. We noticed they have a slanted grill, which helps keep the grease and fat off the burgers. I liked that. The fries were the same way. Compared to 5 Guys (which I dont like because of the grease on burgers and fries), BGR is MUCH better. At lunch time, there was no wait to order and there was no issue getting a seat. Plenty of room. Granted, there was a 10 min wait for the burgers to cook, but its still faster than Red Robin. I guarantee that we will be going back.

The staff was friendly, the place was cute and very clean. The food, however, was atrocious! Quite possibly the worse food I ever forced myself to swallow. I got the Turkey infused with portabella mushroom and cheese wrapped in lettuce. It wasnt wrapped it was shoved in the middle of half a head of lettuce. It was rediculously difficult to eat. But that ended up being a blessing, as I could only choke down a few bites. My daughter got the veggies in the lettuce wrap and spit it back out!. She threw the lettuce away and cut up the burger for the dog who was smart enough not to even try it. High priced trash. Wasted our money. Dont go!

Its a shame ... they used to be better. Today i went there and they changed their bread to a mass produced bun. Yuck and it was stale. I ordered a burger medium cooked and it was still mooing $14.00 for a meal. i would have preferred a small bag of onion rings (that i couldnt finish) and save a few bucks. Welcome to corporate America BGR. Skimp on quality and concern yourself with the money! I voted for them when they were awarded the best burger in DC area. I want my vote back and I think they should take the plaque off of the wall.

The burgers are alright, nothing exceptional. But will certainly make a decent meal. The fries are very generic, I didnt care for them. I will say they give you about double the amount of fries compared to other places, which was a pleasant surprise. The shakes are alright. Again, pretty middle of the road. The staff was friendly which was nice. I might give this place a 4 if the prices were lower. Its about $15 for a burger fries and a drink. None of which necessarily stand out. I would eat here again, but wouldnt go out of my way to do so.

$6.99 for a standard burger; add another $1 for cheese. The buns were stale and the patties are the standard pre-formed, probably previously frozen, ones that you can buy at any grocery store. The fries are ok, nothing special. The onion rings are sliced ridiculously huge - tasted ok, but hard to eat. The building and decor are cute - converted from a gas station to a cute, little burger joint. If youre looking for a good burger, youd be better off going to any Five Guys instead of this place.

Unbelievable burger. Blows five guys and elevation burger away, mostly because their burgers are treated like entrees rather than a mix and match variety of toppings. The Wellington is unbelievably good, and they know how to keep a burger medium rare. Top quality meat, great and unique burger ideas, if their logo didnt look like an Outer Banks sticker Id have noticed it way sooner. Recommendations: The Wellington House made veggie burger

This place had good fries... after you scrap off the layer of salt on them... and that was about it. Everything else was bad. Onion rings looked good but tasted mehh... The burgers looked good but they used way too much salt, seasoning and it was over cooked. As I was eating the burger I was disappointed but not upset until I bite into a section of the meat patty that was pure salt and seasoning. Gross. Stay away overpriced and bad food.

We were welcomed upon arriving and asked if we had eaten at BGR before and when we replied no we were told that we were in for a treat. That was quite a true statement, what a treat their burgers are. They are juicy (dont think greasy think moist and delicious) and fresh. The fries and rings arent quite enough for 2 people but more than enough for one. Everything is cooked to order in front of you - I highly recommend.

First visit: the food was fine (not great), especially the fries. But the prices were way too high. A total of $31+ for two meals: a turkey sandwich with one add-on and fries, and a grilled cheese with fries; one coke and one tea. For the same price, there are a dozen other restaurants in the area to go to that have better food and certainly a better ambiance.
