My sons Aunt works at this cafe and he asked could i buy him a sub for dinner. So i decided to buy everyone some dinner. The owner jumped in quick. Ill take the order her demeaner was so bad that I asked his aunt did she assume that we are going to get something free. Mind you I rarely go to this restaurant and we were the only blacks in there and the youngest. So my son struck a conversation up the older couple next to us. Then his aunt paid for thomass potatoe skins that he wanted her to get him so he coukd get more food. I asked did he want extra sour cream he said yes. I asked his aunt did she have enough. The owner said out loud in front of alll the customers we havent stayed in business this long buy giving even .50 cent away. I said i dont accept handouts I pay for what I buy. Told my son get a to go menu so he can order over the phone because I will never come up here again make it so bad the food wasnt all that. I know personally I used to work there. If you want to be treated like yoi are a thief by the owner this is the perfect place to go eat. Cra Cra on the highest level.

I want to share my experience because they are far different than the others. Yes, this is a small locally-owned business that is not as formal as a corporate structured restaurant. The food is very good and the atmosphere is like a small diner full of local residents. I manage an Inn down the street and always send my guests here for a good country-style breakfast. I have always had good feedback from my guests and have never had a bad experience myself. Please give this restaurant a try; dont have any preconceived notions... just enjoy this charming restaurant for what it is.

Great small-town family diner. Delicious breakfast - eggs are flavorful, bacon is thick-cut and crispy. Seat yourself. Credit/debit accepted and decent kids menu. Well definitely return. Its a sweet little restaurant right behind the court house, full of friendly folks. Patrons and staff were so pleasant. So refreshing - great chance of pace and service from chain restaurants.

One of the few places to eat when meeting people for lunch, typical Spotsylvania meal, do not plan on eating anything healthy and find plenty of locals there just because anything good has closed because no one in this county has taste buds unless they are attracted to Road Kill.

The food is good, but its a homestyle type of place. Do not expect exquisite cuisine, but simple homemade comfort food. That being said, this place always seems to hit the spot, and the service has always been top notch. Great place and one we visit often.

Man was this some good eating. Seat ur self. Served in under three mins. Friendly people. The food was Very good. I was in the mood for mashed potatoes and all the trimmings , and they didnt let me down. I would come again.

Small, quaint "mom & pop" out of the way diner food stop. Food was good. Service was a little slow but I didnt mind because I was not in a hurry. It was also a Saturday morning during breakfast rush.

Got the grilled ham and eggs, wife got the corned beef hash and eggs, both were delicious and sweet tea was perfect...stuffed and satisfied! Cute little cafe, will be back for burgers soon:)

Great place. Good local hangout. I was there for breakfast and it was a good selection of items. They even had scrapple which is getting harder to find. Service was fantastic.
