some of the best middle-eastern food in richmond. the stuffed grape leaves are WONDERFUL. the lamb is to die for. everything is fantastic. the owner is such a nice man, he even came to a party i had once. really great place, he is helpful and has ordered hard to find ingredients for me in the past. ive never even spent that much money there but he treats me like ive spent millions. really wonderful store, really wonderful food. you cant go wrong with this place!

These guys are lier. We purchased meat from this shop early March 2014. They told us all meats are halal. However, when we attempted to authenticate their halal certification; they told us they collect meat from As Salam, then when we called As Salam they confirmed us they didnt sell meat to these guys. Brothers who are looking for halal meat - DO NOT buy from these STORE, they are deceiving their customers selling non-halal meat as halal.

This is a nice homey market where the owners are helping you personally. You can buy cooked or uncooked goods and the are fresh! They remember you like a good friend and what your likes are. I prefer this market to a supermarket with over priced processed foods! The quality is right on and the prices are very fair, most times beating the local supermarket chain prices. I will continue to shop here.

I grew up in the Middle East. You can get anything you enjoy from that culture and food here. Bilal, the owner, will give you seasoning tips and prepare authentic foods to be eaten there or take home. Lots of sweets and goodies for the kids. Hilal meat. Great service and prices. Like going back to my childhood every time I visit.

Good guys, good product and very friendly service, I dont agree with negative feedback, each time we travel to Richmond we stop by there and get some excellent pastrami Baroody brand; a lot better than Armenian Ohanyan. We love the place, they also serve sandwiches, etc which are quite tasty. Recommended.

meat is not good. I have seen black meet in their freezer. Yesterday I bought peta bread ans when I got home (15 miles away) i found it rotten. (pic attached). price is way higher than Petra Food which is 1-2 miles from this store, and the quality of cooked and non cooked food is not really good.

Absolutely wonderful! Fresh meat....really! A wide variety of middle eastern groceries and spices that are difficult to find or often overpriced elsewhere. Very friendly and professional service. Wish this place was closer to home but well gladly drive the 50+ miles for the quality.

Delicious middle eastern fare of all kinds from kibbeh to shwarma to falafel. Clean and friendly. Not a lot of sit down ambience. Why go to Arbys or Subway when you could go here?
