Very bad food when red headed manager waitresses is working has a aditude all the time and has zero ability to assist customers and provide remarkable service. I ordered Monticello chicken sandwich the cook sliced 1/4 of a breast sliced into smaller two pieces that you would get from Wendys off of the dollar menu. We notified the waitresses then tried to apply betterment on my sandwich and felt 30% less chicken then I should have had so she took 30% off my sandwich . Her not having a brain and thinking this would make everything all right because she would rather run the restaurant in the ground rather then try to make sure customers are satisfied which ruined my wife and my dinner.due to staff not caring and feeling blown off. She then told me we did not have to come back if were not satisfied when the only time we have a issue at this restaurant is when this woman is working and running the restaurant in the ground. I have been coming to this restaurant since 2002 when I moved to the lake and if you explain concerns with her you get no more service or actually better service at Burger King McDonalds Wendys or Hardees Arbys much better service but more in lime with taco bell service hope they dont hire red head or shell run that franchise in the ground as far as making sure your order is right and correct and fresh and good. My Monticello chicken sandwich was 14 if a chicken breast slices into two pieces and came no where close to fill the bun and all I could taste is ham and barbecue sauce. This had no concern to her and her response is if we are disappointed not to come back. We have been there multiple times when this person is not there had a server named Cain and another young lady and could have not asked for better service and food was always amazing. This woman has a issue deep within and should not be handling the restaurant due to her unprofessionalism and lack for caring about the customer and their feelings about food that was served to us. I wish would have taken a photo of my chicken sandwich because if I would have posted. the owner would have been embarrassed and would definitely want to have something done about this person whos running the show over at dogwood or maybe not.. I understand people feelings at Dogwood die-hard fans and the food wasnt up to par not good my chicken sandwich had about the size of two Wendys chicken nuggets on it which did not concern anyone other than read head saying not to come back if were not happy no trying be a manager and service the customers. Since I have been getting food here have spent thousands at this restaurant and now is all down the drain . Maybe this is how they operate now but not good for customers who have supported them through the years. 1 good thing only the soup French onion absolutely amazing thats why we continue to give it a try but almost olmost everytime we go there and this old redhead lady is working there the food turns out to crap almost as if she is telling the cooks to make bad food for us so we dont come back. when we have everybody else thats working there for us like Cane young guy should be the manager he goes the extra mile and the food always turns out amazing. I said with the other servers always had amazing food and make sure everything came out correct this one person has personal issues and does not need to take her aditude to work and do her job which she cannot due Im guessing to personal issues she is having to deal with. If the owner could have seen my sandwich someone would have been fired the cook or this unremarkable server but maybe this is there new protocol.i just feel bad for people who dont say anything for horrible service and food that does not come out right feel they are taking advantage of the senior citizens in the area. This all from the attitude of redhead with chip on here shoulders who feels she is running the show only thing ishe Is running is the restaurant into the ground and does not care about customers getting the quality service and good food that dogwood has to offer

Good tasting food. Love the dine in weekly special menu to try new things not on the menu. Delicious variety of hot soups. Great salad bar. The bar space attached sounds fun at night and weekends. Nice assortment for breakfast 8am-10:45am. Breakfast dine in is friendly and fun. Bfast plate presentation is classy. Delivery offered Mon-Thur 5pm-8pm. Super friendly staff make you feel like family when you visit regularly. This restaurant does a lot to help the local non-profit community that many people dont know about. Some people need to run a restaurant to understand how hard it is to offer consistency. If I ever had an issue they are always happy to make it better.

My family and I recently visited the dogwood restaurant. After order a childs kids meal with oranges, our child had complained these oranges tasted sour, my husband and I tasting and agreed they did taste sour, and also smelled like alcohol. They could have possibly been fermented. We told the waitress and she didnt care, and said they just opened the can. We didnt appreciate the service at all the waitress seemed annoyed and to busy to give proper service.

Most of the time service is good with an exception to this one waitress that has been there over a year that I know of, that I dread seeing when I come in or get take out because she acts like I am such a burden being in there and gets upset if you dont leave a tip. The food is very good, the other staff is friendly. Watch out: the bar will decrease the liquor in your drinks if you dont tip them!

We went once and never plan coming back. I ordered a sweet tea and it was dreadfully sweet, it crunched. The quiesh tasted like it was left overs warmed up in the microwave. My husband ordered something, cant remember, but he was complaining that it wasnt worth the price. The inside looks like dollar tree was the decorator with wood paneling. Wasnt worth the money or time.

Good american style food. There are not a lot of options in this area but this is one of the go to spots. The bar side is laid back, fun, and there is usually an evening event. The food is pretty good, reasonably priced, and the specials are always creative. There are always a few good microbrews on tap and the PBR is priced right.

My favorite is the lobster bisque. That is the perfect accompaniment to a light business lunch and so is the atmosphere of "The Dogwood," as we call it. The staff is productive and supportive without overdoing it so that conversations can flow at a natural pace without a lot of disruption. We are always well taken care of there.

Lunch is a good deal, good portions and good food. Dinner is a bit pricey for what it is, but if youre going for a bar atmosphere, this is your place. Local down home feel with great bartenders and excellent service! Just stick with simple drinks/beer/shots if you dont want to pay out the nose.

Very good service, reasonably good food. Unfortunately they were out of the meatloaf that i had been looking forward to. They used an obviously inexpensive cut of steak, but it tasted pretty good. Lasagna was dry and needed more seasoning, but had loads of lovely melted cheese.
