Seriously my favorite place to eat in Norfolk, VA. Less than 500 feet from the beach, Sandfiddler is a cozy, family friendly cafe featuring an incredibly welcoming and polite staff who all have the same goal: great service and even better food. Sandfiddler has an extensive menu of various breakfast and lunch items from a fresh Crabcake eggs benedict to a perfectly cooked classic cheeseburger. The toughest time youll have here is deciding what to get. They have a constantly changing menu of fun and delicious specials thatll surely have something you enjoy. Whenever I meet someone new to the area, I always recommend Sandfiddler. Class personified, every restaurant should strive to be like Sandfiddler. Oh and dont be surprised to see the owner, Jeff, in there all the time, chatting with guests or even bussing tables! A Norfolk staple for sure. 5 stars.

Just had my first visit to Sandfiddler on Friday; Family members have enjoyed this place for a couple years now, but I have never had the opportunity myself. I was impressed by the charming decor of the restaurant, displaying and selling local artwork is a great show of support for the community; The food was great, I had a Country Fried Steak breakfast that was fit for a lumberjack! Excellent price, great friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. Will certainly be returning again when I have the chance.

If youre looking for a cozy breakfast/lunch spot, this is the place for you. Not only do they have excellent food, but the service is top-notch. All the workers are extremely polite and attentive and even the owner comes around to check on the customers. Sometimes theres a wait (because its just that popular), but theyre really good at making the wait as quick as possible. Its family friendly (no alcohol) and a great breakfast/lunch restaurant.

Being from the north, its nice to get a nice southern cooked meal. I had an ultimate scramble and my friend had crab cakes Benedict. We were both very happy with our choice to go here. The wait staff was also very nice.The only negative I can think of was the maple syrup. Northerners are spoiled with real, pure maple syrup and not sugar syrup. Other than that we may make our way here again during vacation.

This was a very pleasant local restaurant. The walls are littered with art from local artist for sale. The atmosphere was very family friendly and price was very affordable. We went for breakfast. The cubed home fries with onions was a great compliment to my egg white chicken and broccoli omelet. This is also on our visit again list the next time we venture to Virginia Beach.

First time here. Walked in an immidiately noticed the hard work of each employee. We got a table and proceeded to order. Little did we know our waitress was an old neighbor of my boyfriends which instantly made us feel more at home. The owner approached every table to make sure everything was going alright. The food was great. By the way you have to get the chicken and waffles

Great place for breakfast. I ordered "country boy" which consisted of a biscuit, sausage patty, poached eggs covered in a pepper gravy. Im very picky about my eggs, but I must say they were cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the waffle special and enjoyed her breakfast as much as I enjoyed mine. To sum it up good food, friendly staff, reasonable price. Loved it.

Not sure why I only have checked in twice here,, I go at least twice a week !! A popular local spot for Breakfast and lunch ! Large Menu !! Staff is super friendly... Some days when they arnt packed the kitchen staff has been known to sign.. not well lol but they sing.. Service is fast and always on point. Prices are great !!!

My first time here and wow. The food was amazing. Great portions. The service was impeccable. It was our first time and the owner came to our table and introduced himself. We had a small wait to get in but I am surprised it wasnt longer it is that good. Definitely coming back. My new favorite place.

There arent a lot of options when I visit East Beach, but thats ok because the Sandfiddler nicely satisfies my first meal of the day needs (as long as its before 2pm). I have never had a bad meal here or a negative interaction. All in all a very solid local breakfast spot.

First time there this morning as a family! We LOVE it! Best french toast Ive ever ordered and I order it a lot haha. My daughter is 2 and they were very friendly with her. Food was amazing as well as the service! I cant wait to go back!

Pumpkin pancakes are the best Ive ever had! Recipe was passed alot from old owner and duper thankful for that, cause if not noone would be able to enjoy these yummy pancakes! Down fall is they only have them from oct-march. Sigh

Had the chorizo omelette. Did not taste like real egg. 1 teaspoon of cheese and 2 tablespoons of chorizo. Omelette was extremely small and bland as well. For a 8.59 price I say completely unsatisfactory.
