Absolutely fantastic coffee and service. We just moved to the area and were searching for our new coffee roaster -- Went here today since we saw such great reviews, and we werent disappointed! The owner Chris was warm and incredibly hospitable. He recommended several flavors and even took us back behind the counter to tell us about his business (they roast in-house using the original equipment from when the business first started in the early 1900s!) and let us sample a cup. Delicious! The shop also sells a lot of different flavors of teas and spices. It was neat looking at all the photos in the shop featuring some of their coffee fans (including some past presidents and celebrities). Were enjoying a freshly brewed cup of snicker doodle flavored coffee right now and oh boy, is it amazing!

I just discovered Norfolk Coffee & Tea Co a few days ago. I have been a devoted espresso fan for 40 years now and have tried coffee beans from more vendors than I can count. I purchased a pound of their "special blend" coffee to test their quality. The taste of this blend was amazing! My first espresso shots were perfect.! The taste was better than my top choice up till now from Murkys Coffee (a coffee shop not a roaster) in Arlington, Virginia. Tastes vary from person to person of course but in my view this coffee is as good as it gets. The prices are very reasonable as well. This is an excellent roasting company and its right here in Norfolk!

Working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, located just off Colley and Brambleton avenues, I have had the pleasure of shopping at Norfolk Coffee and Tea for nearly a decade. Their roasted coffee and nuts, exceptional teas and extremely tasty popcorn have drawn me to their establishment time and time again. But, their exceptional customer service, friendly and warm atmosphere and flexibility in meeting the customers needs is equally impressive. You dont just stop there to shop. You stop there to shop and engage in warm, "down home" conversations with owner, staff and visiting patrons. Stop by there soon; youll see what I mean--smile!!

I have been buying a pound of coffee per week from Norfolk Tea and Coffee for over a year. It is without a doubt the best coffee in town, maybe even the country. They have been doing it the same way for more than 75 years, why change if youve got the perfect formula? The Downtown Norfolk blend is my favorite and the price blows the competition away. Cheaper than Charbucks and far superior, give it a shot. Also, a great small business that has been handed down through the generations, not many of those left today. Support your local small business owner.

I have been buying coffee and nuts from Norfolk Coffee and Tea company for several years. The old favorites and the new blends are always good. There is something for everyone. My son was in IRAQ and Chris gave me a large bag of peanuts to send to the soldiers over there. Not only is the smell in your car wonderous as you leave the premises, but you always geet good quality service. The employees are always friendly and smiling. Every now and then you see local personalities that also purchase the coffee!!!

Top notch. They roast the coffee right there in the store, and have been in the same family since 1918. My first visit, I described the type of coffee I like, and the owner actually brewed an entire pot of fresh roasted coffee, just to see if Id like it. I left with 2 bags of fresh coffee, one of which they ground for me at the store. Absolutely delicious.

Couldnt imagine buying our coffee from anyone else (especially since its local and NOT a chain or supermarket brand & it will be turning 100 years old in two short years). The coffee is only matched by the service provided. Chris makes you feel at home and definitely carries on the family tradition of excellence.

Rustic old mom & pop shop all of their coffees are roasted in house. When you walk in you can see the roasters they have been using for nearly 100 years. The owner greets everyone personally and makes sure that you feel like you are family. You would be hard pressed to find better coffee any where.

Almost 30 years drinking their coffee! I even roasted peanuts there one summer. Low key, top quality. I like blends of the recently roasted beans. Staples of production keeps it similar but some variability keeps it fun. Always fresh and check out the working vintage roasting equipment.

This is one of Norfolks amazing diamonds! The business owner Chris made me and my wife feel so welcomed even 5 minutes until they closed, and that time was not an issue to show us the store. I will be definitely be a patron to this one of a kind coffee shop!

Came here after a friend recommended it, best decision ever. Every few weeks we stop by and pick up 3 or 4 pounds of coffee, and were never dissapointed. Hands down best place to buy coffee on the east coast!

Extremely friendly proprietor, selling a variety of coffee beans (which they grind to order) and loose leaf teas. Coffee sampled daily and snacks sold by weight. Excellent prices for good quality too.
