This is my first time posting a negative review but the experience was so aweful that it is worthy of reporting to the health & food service dept in this area. My daughter just came off deployment and my son just drove from South Carolina to celebrate his birthday and her safe return. We drove 35 minutes to get to this restaurant just to experience the grill cook be rude and neglectfully handling of food in front of customers. Me, my son & granddaughter ordered from the grill. While we were fixing our plates the cook was saying in broken English to hurry up and that we were taking too long. He called us slow. I ignored this comment at that time because I may have misheard. Then he was cooking other customers food and one lady asked for extra teriyaki sauce and so the cook deliberately soak her food with the sauce. She had to ask him to stop. Then he was now cooking my 6yoa granddaughters food and I asked him to make sure the steak was well-done and so he burned it and sliced it open as if to say "is that done enough for you". I was upset at this time but did not say anything. The cook was getting ready to out my food on the plate somewhat uncooked. So I asked him to cook it a little longer. Another customer walked up and heard my request. The cook threw his hand up at me and walked off. My food was left there to burn. He return a short time later and still left my food burning. I asked him to stir it and when he did the food was completely burned and I just shook my head at the cook in I dont want that. He shrugged his shoulders in a manner of "so what I dont care" and the customer that walked up said he did the same to them. She also said how he dropped their food on the floor and told her to pick it up cause he didnt work there but he was cooking the food as an employee. I walked to the counter to get a manager and no manager came. Then an assistant manager listen to both me and the other customers experience and apologized for the cook. We did not display any loud or ugly behavior in our treatment at any time. She offered to have another cook recook another order. Im sure this assistant manager did not understand the magnitude of your cook has burned and drop food on the floor and been very rude to the customers and we have traveled pass several hibachi restaurants to come here. Offerring another cook after ruining our meal was the very least she could do. Good management would have offered their very best after being treated like that in their establishment. I will never eat here ever again. if it were possible to give this establishment a negative 10. I would.

My office attended a farewell luncheon there today (8 July 15) for two of our Soldiers. We were sseated and the server took our drink order. I ordered a water w/ no lemon. I did not eat from the buffet at all b/c I knew that I was going to eat when i went home to walk my dog. The server was super lazy, everyone else at the table that ate never got refills on their drinks and she didnt even remove the extra plates they had piling up. When it was time for her to hand out the tickets she assumed that i ate and gave me a ticket. I stopped her and said excuse me maam but all I had was water. I know youre not charging me $7.93 for a glass of water that you didnt even refill? She said you ate the bar? I told her no i didnt which by this time a few other co-workers chimed in and said no she didnt eat anything. So the ticket stayed on the table for a few minutes and one of my co-workers proceeded to pick it up and pay it, i kindly grabbed the ticket from him and said NO you will not pay for me having a glass of water. She comes by after while again and asks for the ticket and my payment method, i told her again i didnt eat therefore i dont have anything to pay for!!!!!! Now Im becoming IRATE because had you been doing your job you would have asked me if i was eating or have i eaten, then you would have known. So i get up to go and speak with the manager and she basically blew it off and acted like she was listening when she really wasnt. After i said my piece i told her to have a nice day, and the "manager" stops me to say excuse me maam you cant leave b/c you didnt pay your bill? I proceeded to say again for the last time Im not paying for a glass of water!!!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER EVER AS LONG AS I LIVE FREQUENT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. IT COULD BE THE LAST PLACE ON EARTH TO EAT AND I PROMISE YOU WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING I WOULD STARVE. Im not making a big deal over the $7.93 my point is the principal to how you run your establishment trying to be so money hungry but honestly dont even take the time to ensure that a customer honestly and truly is not eating. This is not the first time that i have gone to a buffet and chosen not to eat and none of the staff at any of the other places ever assumed that i ate. They always made sure to ask.

UPDATE!!!! As I was posting this review my sister in law who was traveling with me brought back a plate of desserts...there was a hair on one of her deserts...I asked to speak to the manager...the same little girl came to my table...I said I would like to speak to the person above her....after about a 15 minute wait she came back to the table and said...she says you can speak to me...we were informed that none of their staff have grey hair so the hair did not come from one of their staff...that it is not their responsibility to compensate when they had no wrong doing...I said so we found hair on the food and you are not at least compensating her meal...she said no it happens it is a buffet...I told her that I have never ever been so disgusted in the management of a facility ever in my life...for the manager to refuse to see us was completely rude and unprofessional... the little girl who was the one at the table was extremely rude and very condescending. She raised her voice to me while at the table and was very very rude. Her management skills were completely lacking. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!! THE WORST HIBACHI BUFFET I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!!!!!!!!!! I had bariatric surgery (gastrictly bypass) 6 weeks ago...I asked what their bariatric rate was...most places charge me for the 9-12 year old buffet....I was told by the hostess that I would be paying full price that "others had tried that".....and then she proceeded to tell me they will watch me and if they see me eating I will be charged.... She basically called me a liar....I eat 4 ounces of food at a sitting...and I was not paying full price for an adult buffet when I only eat 4 ounces.... Back to Golden Corral we will go for our next outing...where they honor bariatric patients by only charging us a childs Buffet price. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
