I love Smokey Bones..myself and a friend went to dine at the Central Park location in Fredericksburg. I ordered ribs, loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli. 1) the waitress never made eye contact with me, however she did with my male companion 2) when i got my meal...the broccoli was over cooked and cold (i was told one of the other cooks added too much seasoning that is why it looks this way) I am a very good cook and i know what broccoli should look like an insult to my intelligence 3) when I let the waitress know my potatoes were not even warm or room temperature, she brought more on a hot dish and they too were not warm 4) as i continued to eat my ribs (which were good) i found myself pulling a piece of hair out of my mouth...I laid it on the empty plate and when the waitress came over (after calling her) i showed her the hair and she said "oh is that a crack in the plate" when i told her it was hair she took it and rubbed it on her pants...she went and got the Manager - all this was explained to her, she asked me if i wanted a meal to go or take it off the check. I asked them to take it off the check. The waitress came again now i have a pile of dishes with food on it in front of me and she asked if she could remove the gentlemans dishes and mine were still stacked in front of me.

We went to Smokey Bones on Tuesday because my friends and I were fiending for some barbeque and we were not let down. The food was really good but what made us really enjoy our trip was our server Taralynn. She checked on us frequently our drinks were never empty, gave us great menu recommendations (all of which were excellent), and one of my friends is "a bit" of a clean freak and Taralynn was very accommodating of her needs. It was such a great experience that we went back on Saturday but this time we sat at the bar and to our surprise Taralynn was the bartender. We took up the whole back side of the bar and started ordering drinks and appetizers (I think they were called fire starters). But no matter how busy she got she never neglected to check on us, there was never a point where I didnt have a drink in front of me. If Taralynn is there my friends and I will keep coming back. I love good service so much so I posted this on yelp too.

This restaurant would have maybe been okay if the staff hadnt been so unprofessional and rude. I went here with my daughter and we ordered ribs and a burger. The food wasnt bad but the service took a long time. When I left to use the ladies room I came back to find our much older waiter hitting on my 17-year-old daughter which made her and I feel very uncomfortable. I believe his name was Greg, but besides the point, it made the experience horrible and just uneasy. I called to complain to the managers shortly after I left and the hostess informed me that none were in. I think in order for this restaurant to strive, the management needs to start paying closer attention to the employees they hire to prevent this from happening in the future.

My wife and I really enjoy the atmosphere and food at Smokey bones, and we have gone to the place (either in Fredericksburg or V B) probably 8 to 10 times over the last few years. We dont live in either area, but our som plays on high school an travel volleyball teams that take us to FBurg and the Beach a couple times each year. When the team heads there for a match, my wife and I head to Smokey Bones for dinner! I like their ribs. She likes BBQ. We both like salads and a good draft beer. Yup - Smokey Bones makes us both happy. Friendly staff. Good food. Fairly affordable.

We used to order carry out all the time and I will never eat at this location again. Every time I call to order, the people are rushing me off the phone or keeping me on hold for 5 minutes even though when I get there to pick it up the restaurant is empty. The last straw was when they started charging me to include BBQ sauce! Im spending $60 ordering barbecue and youre gonna charge me $6 to throw in some sauce or buns?! I used to love theyre food, but they couldnt pay me enough money to eat at the Fredericksburg location again. Avoid this location just out of principle.

This was the worst place ever, now I know why there was no one in the restaurant during the busiest time. The cups were dirty. The waitress didnt seem to know the menu, at the last minute asked us to order something else. The nachos my son ordered were cold, and to top it all off when he asked what we wanted to substitute the nachos, my 14yr old said regular wings which by that point we had to get them to go, they were so hot he couldnt even eat them. I will never go there again absolutely horrible,

Service was very slow it was not packed it an hour after our food was order to get it and the after that wait the food was just ok was very disappointed. The manger was unprofessional and not help at all other tables at out sections were getting up and leaving . I will never go there again and I love BBQ . The food and service was not good at all I just ate bc it too so long and didnt want wait again .

Bones has very good food and great service in a rustic environment. I used to go fairly often until they changed their focus from generally family-friendly to more of a party bar atmosphere (Thats what they told me when I asked "why is the music so loud at lunchtime?"). I no longer go there, but you may like it and the food is really veryu good.

Do not come here for the endless wings and fries, horrible service. Great prices on drinks if you wanna get wasted come on out but for the food NO !! If they had smaller bills in the register I wouldnt have tipped my waitress whose name I never got...... so I had no choice but to give her extra money she didnt deserve..

Good karaoke and good service despite messing up my order but the manager on duty was a train wreck! He couldnt figure out our bill and had BS when trying to explain. No apology and acted like it was our fault for some reason. Im guessing he was drinking on the job because his attitude was unprofessional at best.

If you have children you might want to skip this place unless you like sitting way in the back of this restaurant. Came here with family and was shown to a table way in the back with my 9 and 11 year old girls who are well behaved. The customers at the bar were rowdier. Cant speak to the food since we left.

Waitress was awful, forgot about us, we had to wait for over a half hour just to get our bill after we had gotten up to get our own boxes to box our food. Food order was put in incorrectly and my sisters side was served to everyone as an appetizer. Food was disappointing. Would not go back.
