I went there last time and I saw that the owner is controlling that place in a very despotic manner. This is why I am saying that. The server made a mistake by adding $7.99 to my bill even I warned her that all I have is A Sprite and Barbican. She added the above amount since the guy who was with us does not tip and she wanted me to pay all the amount so can get some extra money. All I had in my debit card is $12 and because of this lethal mistake I will have to pay the $35 fee that the bank has charged me. The owner is not cooperating and does not refund me my $7.99 The owner charges 36% for every customer that goes there: there is the 18% service and the tip of either 15% or 18%. Any ways, I always add some $2 or $3 extra. Back to my situation, when I told the supervisor about the situation, he claimed that the owner has to be here to fix my check. The owner who does not trust his manager did not show up. One night he promised he would fix my check and he did not do at all. I called the restaurant many times to fix this issue and so far no one can pay me my money. A piece of advice, if you go to this place, be ready to fight with the servers. I would not recommend this place to any one of you

Poor service + bad food = Zaaki Restaurant Dont trust Zaaki managements when they say we will refund you, I am still waiting to receive my refunds dispite explaining them clearly about what went wrong(see below) Hi, To start with, I had to find the waiter to get the menu, as nobody was serving us. When we eventually ordered the drinks and starters together, the starters arrived after 20 minutes but no drinks. When we asked for the drinks he returned with cans but no glasses. We had to chase him for the main course which arrived after 50 minutes and everything was stone cold with no cutlery, when we complained to the waiter that the meals were cold his reponse was "I will reheat it for you" we were so hungry by then we just ate the cold meals. Eventually I got the bill after chasing him, when I refused pay the tip for the service he (waiter) got the audacity to argue that he deserves the tip and its not his fault if the food is cold and disgusting. Located right in the heart of Falls Church on Rt. 7 near Gourmet Inn (actually right across). I found this place through Yelp and decided to give it a try. - Outdoor seating is AWESOME but it can get crowded and your presence can get lost; Its hard to get the attention of the wait staff sometimes - I liked their Hot Tea and drank it together with my Blue Mist and Double Apple hookah; they dont serve alcohol so if you want a buzz besides the hookah buzz then drink up prior. Hookah quality is pretty good; they give you 2 coals to start with and you will just have to put one over the other while it is burning to get it started. I did ask for 1 more. Recommendations for the restaurant: - try to develop better wait staff zoning so that all the tables are covered - need to use FRUIT head with shisha for hookah as special instead of the tiny generic ones; they burn longer and much more flavorful - go with NARA coals which does not have smell of the fums; better for health reason and burns longer Thats about it! I shall return while Im in DC/NOVA area. Keep up the good work.

This place gave me every reason not to come back. Had to wait forever to be seated while others who came after us and knew someone who works there got seated before us. The place was understaffed, and could not handle the customer load. Had to wait 2 hours for our food to come, and when it came it was cold, no napkins. To make it worse, the food plate was taken away as we were chatting before we finished. Hookas and drinks we ordered never came. And on top of that there are magical service charges that show up on the receipt not sure what exactly it is, but magic numbers for them to get more money. If I had to say something about it, I would tell you run away. Because this place used to be good and I used to really love going there, it used to have good customer service but now when it became popular it just went exponentially downhill, and they dont give a crab about customers anymore because they think oh well we have thousands waiting so if you dont like the way we do things deal with it. My advice, run away from this place.

First of all, I am happy that we have this place close to our home. I try to go there and meet friends. The problem that I have is the quality of the service and the chaotic absence of management. I went there last time and sat down; THE MOST SURPRISING IS THAT NO ONE EVER CARED. My friend told me that he always goes find the server and orders food. This happened to me last night. I know what it means for someone to be busy, I myself worked in 4 fast-paced restaurants: Ruths Chris steak house, Sequoia, Le diplomate, and Bourbon steakhouse. I am really sad that the management is not doing any effort to increase service handling time. In brief, I waited for 29 minutes exactly, no one asked at all. I ordered tap water from the counter from a server( a Woman that gave a why- me look) and I headed home, I saved the item price+18% gratuity to myself. I will not go there . There are many options.

We took family from overseas there for the Ramadan Buffet last week. first off, it was great. I am a vegetarian and we had a picky 12 y/o and we all were able to find delicious food! The staff was amazing! Lina (sp?) was our server and she was outstanding. The owner/ manager(?) was great. He never stopped checking on people and making sure they were ok. This was our first time there and by the time we left(almost 5 hours with dinner, shisha, sodas and talking-we were never rushed to pay and leave) we felt like we were old friends with everyone. They were very busy and you could tell that the staff was working in high gear. They had smiles on their faces and they were very friendly and polite the whole time. We dont live in the area but there is no doubt that we will definitely eat there again the next time we are in town. Thank you Zaaki!

No respecting for the Islamic holly book"Quraan" they are using it as a decoration, when I saw it, I was like" are u kidding me ??" / مافيه احترام للقران الكريم، مستخدمينه كالديكور للمكان!! شي غريب مع العلم اني كلمت الوايتر عن الموضوع قال " كلمنا المدير عن الموضوع من قبل " يعني شي عجيب ؛ كانك تستخدم قران كالديكور لملهى ليلي !! الله يهدينا ويصلحنا اجمعين .

Stopped by there and wasnt sure if I wanted to eat or not after reading the reviews. I decided not to. Dear owner, may you please tell me why you dont address the issue of your restaurant being dirty and the bad service? Maybe you can go to a place owned by Great American Restaurants who knows exactly how do to customer service. Servers are taught that all guests are guests of the restaurant and that servers take care of each person whether its someone assigned to their table or not. They dont share in tips but they share in service and thats why its an excellent restaurant family. I noticed a plant in the middle of the outside patio it was all broken and ugly and it looked like it belonged in the trash...its details such as that, which will make a good or a bad restaurant.
