Me and my girlfriend absolutley love this place we eat it almost everyday and have never once had an issue with the food or anything what so ever but recently they have changed a lot of the waiters like this new young Mexican kid who told us we said the order wrong even though we say it the same way every time and then got mad because we asked him to get the correct meal. Also tonight some new white blackhaired girl thought it would be smart to stare right at my girlfriend who was obviously right next to me as we were leaving and tried to flirt with me then smirked at my girlfriend who was looking at this happen the whole time and then she walked away meanwhile the other woman who was swiping my card and getting me a receipt to sign looked at my girlfriend as if she also saw what had just happened , and then just proceeded to give me my card and receipt for me to leave. I dont get why someone would do that seeing my girlfriend directly next to me and you can clearly tell she is my girlfriend its the first time this has ever happened and everyone else who works there is really cool with us and greets us both all the time and always jokes around with us and they all know us and we know them and everything always goes smooth but tonight didnt really go smooth at all cause of that situation.

Valentines dinner while no owner or manager on site as a customer was intoxicated, screamed, stood on the chairs, let her two small children scream and run around causing a nuisance to everyone else who was trying to have a nice sweetheart dinner. We complained to the white American at the register and just laughed off and said they do have worse customers. This was a party of like 8 amd the one young lady kept standing on the table and chairs screaming being a nuisance. We mentioned how this could be a injury suite if she was to fall. We also mentioned how alot of customers are annoyed. The lady did not even offer to compensate our bill. This behavior went on for the entire hour we were there. Food and service was good. Seemed more like a club than a family restaurant.

Tonight we were extremely disappointed in our experience at El Gran Rodeo. First of all, our server NOT ONCE asked us if our food was good nor did he fill our drinks...I had to finally ask the hostess as she passed to fill our drinks and check on my husbands food that still had not arrived. My son and I were almost finished with our dinner before my husband got his food. At the end of the meal they took 3.00 off our bill....which is really kind of a joke. For food that was just okay and service that was horrible we will never return....oh and its not like its inexpensive. Pricing has gone up...and for what? Maybe they should hire servers who want to make money by doing their job.

We moved to Chesapeake from NJ a year ago. We accidently found this restaurant. The food was magnificent! Large portions, great prices. 6 months ago the menu prices went up. Not a lot. Understandably due to rising fuel cost it was inevitable there would be a price increase. Now the portions have been downsized yet the prices have stayed up. We went from eating there once a week to once in a while, if we happen to be in the neighborhood. Also the food was not as flavorful asit once was. Its disconcerting that business owners dont maintain their level of quality and value once they establish a clientele. All in all they went from a great restaurant to an ok restaurant...

This place is very clean with great customer service. The wait staff, and kitchen is quick. Chips & salsa bottomless. The standard portions could serve two adults. Great mixed drinks. Never a disappointmet, always leave stuffed, with additional left-overs. Moderatly priced for the huge return in food portions.

I love this place! The food is great, the service is excellent and everything is prepared hot, fresh and super fast! I also have Celiac Disease and I have not had an issue with cross contamination when eating food here (This IS lovely). If you are in the are I recommend you try it for your self!

Really love this place! I personally find it to be the best tasting and consistent Mexican Restaurant in the area. We drive out of or way, past other Mexican restaurants, to go to this one! Staff is very attentive and the restaurant is very clean. Highly recommended.

Really nice Mexican restaurant. The pricing is reasonable and staff nice. Our waiter I think forgot us for about 20 min but then came back. The food comes out really fast and good looking. Casual Mexican restaurant, good for occasional lunch or dinner.

This restaurant gives all Mexican food a bad name. It is flavorless food from a can (actually, go get a can of enchilada sauce, it would taste better!) The food is goopy, over sauced, and inedible. Montazumas revenge is a likely outcome.
