Im trying very hard to like this place... I liked its predecessor, "The Pickled Herring" so I hoped this place would be as successful. The facility itself is very well done. It has the feel of a cool, laid back local pub. The staff is friendly & accommodating which means a lot to me. Good selection of drafts & drinks, too. Its the kitchen that really needs work! Granted... I have not eaten my way around the whole menu... Mostly just their sandwiches & such... But really!... if you cant make a good sandwich, youre doin somethin wrong! Once, I ordered the "crab cake" sandwich and, I gotta tell you, "Mrs. Pauls" makes a better crab cake! Thats disgraceful! This is the Chesapeake Bay! fer cryin out loud! The other sandwich fare was...edible... but not good. Ill keep going in the hopes that things will improve. But then... Im hard headed that way.

Great home town feel, with good food. Tucked back in the back of some shops keeps weenies away, PLUS+++ great live music to boot! Granted, this aint no steakhouse, but its not trying to be... Heres a place thats worth stopping in if youre trying to find a place to feel good, knock back a few and hear some great music and be with or meet some good friends. The Bartenders and the Owners over extend themselves and the feel they give is that of a friend that actually cares that you have a good time; Not some fakes that only want tips (Tipping them makes better friends though...) But thats just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Absolutely, they are the top dogs for supporting Vets here. I am happy they support Vets! Best "fried crab cake sandwich" is the best. My mother, who died before Iraq in 2002, and I am a Marine. Josh, Elizabeth, Victoria, et all. Great business and great people like a human. Next door. Absolutely great service! UPDATES, didnt support Vets after all. I will just go to a better place to support Vets. Again not drinking, but but "steak and" main have been amazing.

We are here from out of town and wanted to take advantage of a rare night alone so we decided to go out to eat and maybe get into some trouble unfortunately nothing was open after being turned away from three different places we stumbled upon this gem our bartender was nice enough considering the hellacious weekend they had had experience was made by whom I assume was the owner the food was amazing and the prices were present reasonable I would highly recommend them

I live down the street and it can get REALLY rowdy outside at night. Other than that, the atmosphere of the bar is really nice when it is not as packed. The beers on tap are great. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. The food is great, especially the brussel sprouts. The service is top notch and I always come away having had a really great experience.

The first time we came in we didnt get waited on. The second time we sat at the bar. The bar tender was very preoccupied with friends. Then the bar got busy and she was very overwhelmed and couldnt handle the work load. Steak had good flavor but was tough as leather. I will not be back. Bad service and subpar food.

Went for the ravens first game. What a great place to hang with friends a enjoy the game on the big screen. The owner even whipped up a special batch of fried pickles, and they were great. Cant wait to come back for another game night.

The environment was great, the knowledge of the server could improve, not bad for second day. The girls found the filet mignon wonderful, the mahi was good , better on a heated plate. Will be back soon.

Even though there were mixed reviews I decided to try it. The food was good. BUT there was hair in my bag and my container. It wasnt my hair color. A shame cause I like the food. I am not going back

Good music, Great food, Amazing staffing! Defiantly go on a Friday or Saturday for some tunes and brews. Life sized Jenga so so much fun. BYOS....bring your own Sharpie (youll be surprised).

Burgers are overcooked and not as ordered, salads have far too much dressing. Staff is helpful but at the end of the day the food is why you go or in this case not.
