I have loved Muddy Waters for years. I grew up in the area and this shop helped kindle my love of all things coffee. They strive to create a social environment, which is why theyve yet to (or possibly never will) adopt in house wireless internet service. They dont want people to come in and zone out to their laptops. This is what Ive been told. After years of failed observation on their part, this is exactly what happens. They need to look around and realize that they live in a college town where students will always come in and do their homework. Just give in Muddies! Just give in. Get wifi.

Live down the street from this place and get coffee there sometimes on the way to class. A neat little establishment to hang out in; the decor makes me feel like Im in Canada and the Americanos are up there with the best of the art-coffee places. They also have a liquor liscense aparrently and serve a variety of other things. The only caveat I have here is that there is no Internet, which was a HUGE surprise to me given the other aspects of the place....probably would spend more time there otherwise.

Great atmosphere, good coffee! While driving around Burlington looking for a local coffee shop we stumbled upon Muddy Waters. What a treasure! The interior decor is original, rustic, and artsy. I got a coffee and my wife got a latte. Both were delicious. We try to go back whenever we are in Burlington. Its very cozy and unique. Definitely recommend Muddy Waters if youre looking for coffee and a great atmosphere.

This coffee shop has an amazing atmosphere, unique to Burlington. Almost everything inside is made out of wood and nicely lit. Their coffee and smoothies are amazing and well priced and for a small place, their menu is very expansive. The only downside to this coffee shop is that it isnt very big so at peak hours, you may not fund an empty seat and also it is easy to miss if you didnt know it was there.

Winter in Burlington can be brutal, if not for places like Muddy Waters, winters might be downright unbearable. A cozy coffee shop serving great coffee drinks and hot chocolates, the interior is warm wood and harkens coffee shops of old, with books and games. Easily could spend a full Sunday here.

Awesome laid back friendly atmosphere. This place would have received 5 stars since they have got everything eight except wi-fi. Its a fantastic old building with a heaping of extra charm. Love this place! The food was excellent and the juices are great.

pros: Wonderful atmosphere and a decent cuppa in a great downtown location. cons: no WiFi (for really dumb reasons) and the staff often stops serving a full hour before closing time (because they have somewhere better to be, it seems).

I love the atmosphere here more than any other coffee shop! The chai is wonderfully spicy and not overly sweet. I also highly appreciate the option to substitute almond milk for only 25¢ since Im allergic to both cow dairy and soy.

Muddy Waters is a charming, comfortable place, and is better than Starbucks. Like SBs, however, they dont really have coffee. I suppose if you like flavored drinks, give them a shot.

The best coffee shop in B-town, great atmosphere and food. A good place to work on coding, homework, do interviews, but also enjoy yourself. Welcoming to everyone.

One of Burlingtons great cafés, a great place to grab a drink (with a range of choices) and hang out. I just had the iced peppermint mocha and it was perfectly made

Muddy Waters is good, and has free WiFi, but the coffee isnt spectacular. I do really like that you can find notes in the brick walls - a neat real world exchange!

Hard to find seating, but just about the only place to find white hot chocolate and its amazing. The wife loves the regular hot chocolate. Whipped cream mandatory

Amble selection of foods and drinks. If you go there to work dont expect to do anything that requires wifi. Muddy shake is definitely worth going as well.

Ok coffee spot just at the end of church street. Coffee is fine and pricing is fair. I just find the service to be a little off, not friendly enough.

Lots of atmosphere. Goes well with the coffee and pastry. No grill. A handful of posers like most coffee shrines. An original worth visiting.

Good coffee, good tea, great shakes. The interior is really cool too, and there are little notes hidden in the cracks in the bricks.
