My friend raves about the Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup so with limited time for lunch break, I decided to call ahead. When I called, I ordered 2 Taiwan Beef Noodles. I had not seen their full menu. I did not know that they also had Fried Beef Noodles. When we came into the restaurant, a very very snooty girl told me she just has an order for 1 person. She said "I did not answer the call, so I dont know." Okay fine. My friend and I just waited 15 mins for the next bowl. When I opened my lunchbox, they gave me fried noodles, which is not what I wanted. The girl told me Beef noodles means fried noodles. If you wanted soup, you shouldve said soup. I said "I dont know your entire menu, whoever answered couldve asked me to clarify which type of noodles I wanted." So she very very rudely answered "Well what do u want me to do about it? Its not our fault that you ordered the wrong thing." I still paid and took the fried noodles cos I was out of time for lunch, but Ill never come back for a visit. No business should be rude to a paying customer, as the whole time I was talking to her in a very polite and respectful manner. FYI, the same price for the Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup and Fried Beef Noodles, the beef quality for the soup dish is much much better. The beef in the Fried Beef Noodles is absolute garbage. Just like the attitude of the server.

As a fellow restaurant owner I feel compelled to review Green Panda and also contradict Adams review. It seems as if he had a bad experience but one experience is not a reason to warn the entire internet away from a place - especially one that is family run and fairly new (probably still learning how to run efficiently). Restaurants are not always exactly what we want or expect, but there is a lot more going on behind the scenes than the normal person realizes and running a shop is a lot harder than it looks. It seems like Green Panda went above and beyond to try to fix the problem but a negative, snarky review sits forever as a black mark on Google. I have eaten several times at Green Panda and have never waited longer than normal for food or drinks. The food is good and even really good if you look to what makes Green Panda a special place: the Taiwanese specialties like Beef Noodle Soup. This is the only place around to get these dishes. The food is prepared by someone who really cares about what they are doing and if that takes an extra few minutes it is worth it. Review readers please be careful when reading Adam-like reviews. Especially when he doesnt have the guts to acknowledge the lengths the restaurant he is trashing went to try and make him happy. Some people are not worth listening to.

If you like genuine Chinese cuisine you need to try Green Panda. Most small Chinese cafes Ive tried have the typical Americanized flavors and menu items. Green Panda has all the flavors and smells (the good ones) of a Taiwanese sidewalk cafe. If youve ever been to Taiwan youll know what I mean. If youre idea of Chinese food is sweet and sour or egg drop soup then go anywhere. But if you want authentic Chinese flavors this is where youll find them. I love Chinese food and Ive tried about every restaurant I could find in Utah Valley and Sandy/Draper area, but none compare to this place. I think some of the reviewers here giving poor marks really have no concept of what authentic Chinese food is supposed to taste like. I lived in Taiwan so I think I have a credible opinion on the subject. The Taiwan Beef Noodle (Nyo Row Mien) and Spicy Tou Fu, (Ma Po Doe Foo) are my favorites, but everything is good. They even have Chinese smoothies. I cant say enough good things about this place! Truly the food is wonderful, affordable, and will keep you coming back. I travel from Draper to Provo just to eat there. Now if theyd just open a cafe in Draper!

This place is awful, I should have guessed this by the empty parking lot. The soup tasks like watered down chick broth with chunks of nasty egg. There was no flavor at all. How does a Chinese restaurant screw up the basics as EGG DROP SOUP. Not only the the prices are WAY over price not worth what your getting. I just spend 10 dollars on TERRIBLE food. I thought i would being them a favor by giving them business but its clear as to why they dont have any. Im giving this place one year till its closed. And im sorry Has any one noticed that all these people have very "SCRIPTED" reviews? Maybe friend of friends? Also take a look at the "google user" that is generic. Who wants to put money on it that its someone that works for the business. Its clear to see these people are desperate to try and mend a bad review and that they are urging friends to go online to save their business with One or two reviews. This place is not worth anyone time or money. If you want a good Chinese place in Provo try Rice King or better yet panda express. At least you get your moneys and quality worth.

Easily the best Chinese food around, and the ONLY Taiwanese food. Ive been eating here since they opened, and the food has been very consistent every time Ive gone. And I go a lot. The quality of ingredients is always excellent and fresh, the wait and service is no less than any chain restaurant you go to (and usually quite better than most), and the selection is very wide and very authentic. Never once have I been disappointed in the slightest. The food is made from scratch, not left in warmers, and is all made by a single person. Which, if youve ever cooked for a large group, you know thats no easy task. The price is very reasonable too. Its a local, non-chain place that has high quality, and two people can eat for $20-30. Thats what you see at any other sit down place. For those of you who are only familiar with Panda Express and "American Chinese", Green Panda is exactly what you would get at a nice, sit-down place in Taiwan. After living there for more than a year and a half, I can honestly say you wont find anything better without moving to the far east.

In response to Adam: Here at Green Panda Cafe, we make every dish fresh, even the soups are made from scratch so the wait is longer than the restaurants where foods sit in warmers and we are very sorry for the long wait. It was a crowded Friday night and we also had delivery/take out orders that came in before your order but we did try to make your order as fast as possible. Unfortunately, as we were boxing up the last dish, you guys had left. We could like to credit you for the Veggie Noodles, Orange Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken you guys had paid but did not get. Please come in anytime. Edit: We hope you and your wife enjoyed the Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken and Veggie Noodles we delivered. We hope you can revise your review on Green Panda Cafe. Have a great week! 04-09-12
