We visited Chez Bazan twice. The first time, our visit was good. The coffee was ok and the service was good. Plus, all lattes and coffee drinks are served grande. We liked that. Their menu even has a sign saying they are all served grande. The second time we went in, they gave us our lattes in a 6 ounce fancy clear glass coffee glass. It was less than 1/2 the size of the grande latte we were expecting. Not only did they give us a drink that was VERY SMALL, they over charged us. When bringing up that they overcharged us, they refunded the amount they overcharged us. Of course, that is expected. Then, when I asked about the drinks and why they were so small, the lady told us that when drinks are ordered for there, they are made in the small coffee glasses and when they are made "to go", they are made in the grande size glasses. Either way you pay the same. Does that make any sense at all? Their menu even says they are made "grande"! Their menu does not say they are made in small 6 oz glasses when ordered to eat in! When I told her we were not expecting a 6 oz latte, she said "Next time, make sure you order it to go so you get the big one". Next time!!? Why couldnt she just offer us another small coffee to compensate for the fact that we got ripped off and obviously didnt get what we ordered and what the menu said would be served to us. After 5 minutes of talking about this with her, she said she would get my name and number and talk to the owner to see what they could do. Why couldnt she just make us another 6 oz latte to compensate for the extra small latte we got in the first place? Finally she offered another small latte and mentioned she might get in trouble for doing that for us. At that point, I was so frustrated that I politely declined and we left. It was a VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE. Needless to say, next time we will take our business to Bradys where the coffee and service are both always great!

I love this place and the owners are are great. always so nice no matter the circumstances. there are a couple of flaws with the service sometimes, but the cookies and cake make up for it. you should definitely try the black forest cake... to die for!!! and the cheesecakes, and the pies yuuum, and I know for a fact they are made from scratch, Ive seen it done. its awesome to go behind those doors where all the magic happens. food is always great, Ralph outdoes himself. I just love this place I try to go as often as I can and Claudia is always there to help me out. they are great and I wish them well, at least another twenty-something more years. Great place, if you dont like to wait too long for lunch go at 1:30 people usually have lunch right at 12 which makes your food get there late since everybody orders at the same time. Order the STA, its a smoked Turkey avocado sandwich OMG so good. and the crepes are awesome, and the quiche is always good and fresh. bottom like its awesome. ..

So just about anything on this menu is golden, but its not the menu thats great, its the local atmosphere that just puts everything together. Its a pleasant surprise to walk in for lunch and walk out with a new friend after having a conversation with someone youve never met. I know of no place in tyler like this and I love every second of it. Not only is the atmosphere amazing but their cakes are an absolutely different level. If you can dream it they can make it. I just walked in and saw a camera that was literally a cake.nit some stencil printed onto the cake, a literal camera cake. It was a Nikon camera made out of cake, details included. In short, love this place as it deserves to be loved.,

I have been bringing my kids in for over a year now. The employees are always patient with my indecisive children and really helpful with any questions I have. I think its so much better to bring the kids in to pick their treats for a reward. Fresh baked individually chosen instead of prepackaged store bought is the way to go. We love everything we have ever tried! Today I ordered a party platter for my son and was pleasantly surprised at the cost for cookie platters. Chez Bazan has become my families go to for special occasion treats.

The coffee was brunt, the girl was rude, a petit four is supposed to have a little jelly or filling layer in it (not just cake with icing), and my croissant was overheated so that the ends were a little microwave hardened/chewy... That being said, the criossant did taste really good and they have a good pound cake in their petit fours. If the girl at the counter wasnt so rude it wouldnt have been so bad. As it stands, Im deeply underwhelmed! They do look like they make pretty wedding cakes.

Overpriced and everything I tried was way to sweet to enjoy. I love a great pastry as much or more than anyone but a there is a balance of sweet along with tender that they failed on 4 visits. My mom was very disappointed as well (she couldnt finish any of her selections due to heavy handed sugar) I also went in there to select my wedding cake and got no help from the staff that was working. Pros: uh....? Cons: no better than Brookshires pastries

Claudia and her staff go above and beyond to provide the best experience you could ask for when planning a wedding and then catering the wedding. Chez Bazan has catered two different weddings for our family and each was absolutely spectacular. Richard Bazan would be proud of the way his family have carried on with this little bakery he started. Tyler is lucky to have the Bazan family take care of our families.

My one and only dealing with place was awful. They couldnt deliver my cake and we had to go pick it up, then to make matters worse they did NOT design the cake the way I asked. The italian cream cake does NOT taste like Italian cream it tasted more like lemon. I would never recommend them to anybody.

Just finished lunch at Chez Bazan... I was so impressed with the service I thought Id write a review. I never think about this place as a place to eat lunch but I was very pleased. Ive gotten many cake for clients here but lunch was just as good as the baked goods.

Italian cream cake slice...turkey avocado sandwich combo...large cherry blossom tea...to go..$15+ bucks and they had the nerve not to speak when I walked in...I didnt get to pick the chips for my combo...I HATE SUN CHIPS!

Super! went in to order a cake not really knowing what i wanted. the staff was so helpful and knowledgeable and designed me an awesome cake for my little girl! it turned out amazing! and tasted great too!

Not a single item in this "French Bakery" is French. The "baguette" tastes like pre-frozen dough and is utter crap. All the treats taste about the same as what you can buy at Wal-Mart.
