We went Easter night, the restaurant was maybe 20-30% full, we were seated almost immediately. Our server Brennan took about 10 minutes to come to our table to greet us, but was very apologetic for the wait. This was the best part of his service. It was very unfortunate that for our first dining experience at Lupe Tortilla we were seated in his section. From the beginning simple requests like sugar for the tea and our appetizer order simply were unimportant or forgotten, though requested on several occasions. We finally obtained our own sugar from another table, and canceled our appetizer when our meal arrived. The food was excellent. Our waiter continued to be a sore spot for his tables, to the point where 2 other tables joined in to our conversation to guffaw at his blunders. While he brought us our food, he forgot our sides though we requested them FOUR TIMES. As the entire table was empty on drinks we requested a refill. He brought ONE tortilla for an entire table of four and then proceeded to advise that we can order as many as wed like...theyre free. The food was excellent and fresh, the steak to die for, the chicken was succulent, NO COMPLAINTS WHATSOEVER ON THE DELICIOUS MENU- other than a tad pricey for the genre. We witnessed 4-5 other waiters simply standing around chatting, and after 10 minutes of waiting for him or another waiter to pass by I gave up and went to the bar to request a refill of my drink. The table next to us, seeing that I had obtained my own drink quickly stood up and followed me towards the bar. At that point 3 others of the waitstaff followed us to our tables and quickly righted his mistakes. It took another 7 minutes for him to stop by- with incorrect drink orders, befuddled as to how we now obtained our sides, tortillas and drinks. 1 table of the "lets all be friends because we hate our waiter" section left. The remaining two of us both requested to speak to a manager. Only the table next to us received that courtesy, though we received free ice cream for our trouble. Brennan disappeared and never returned after slinking away from bringing us incorrect drinks. Luckily, the rest of the staff was ready and willing to step in. Next time we will just order to-go, as the food is well worth a second try.

I have tried to use your website but continue to get an error message. This is in regards to your new location in The Rim We have frequented your restaurant since it opened on 281 we were excited to see that a new one was opening near our home at the rim. I went at 5:45 and told the hostess party of four for 6:15, my family arrived and we met the hostess and she brought us to an outside table. When the waiter finally arrived I expressed my concerns about the table size (possibly 2.5x2.5) and that it would not hold the meal we were ordering, his solution was to remove salt and pepper- hot sauce and sugar please note this table barely accommodated chips and salsa with the condiments removed. When the food did arrive of course it didnt fit... the manager came over and explained that the shopping center made your company use the smaller tables and he combined an extra meat platter to make extra space. Im stating this was the single worst dining experience ever I payed 65.00 to eat with food basically stacked around me and my family and have our silverware crash to the floor because of inadequate space. Seriously once again I asked to be moved and I NEVER asked for outdoor seating. The service was poor which I can expect with opening a new restaurant but the tables size is a safety problem very hot platters and not adequate space for safe placement of platter. Please have someone contact me.

The food was okay, at best. Not a place I will purposely visit again on my own. If youre eating here, its because youre new in town and dont know any better or youve got money to blow and are too lazy to drive away from the far North side! Its simple, the further away from the North side you drive, the better & more authentic the Tex-Mex / Mexican food is. I should have known better having grown up in the West side but its where my daughter wanted to eat during her lunch break from ballet. If youre in the area and really hungry, sure, this place will do in a pinch. But if you got time, drive to another part of town, inside of 410! At the very least, go to Taco Cabana, the food is better, heartier, and way cheaper! This places attempt at food is slightly better than what I had to tolerate when I lived in northern Florida. The best part of my meal was the delicious, candy red roasted jalapeno, which I had asked for on the side for my meal.

My friend and I saw this restaurant from the highway 281. We had to go up and u turn to get back to it, because of all the construction. But we have had our Share of Mexican food this weekend at a conference in San Antonio. This restaurant was AMAZING, From the food to the service. Absolutely WORTH it. The food is NOT overpriced and well worth what we did pay. Kaitlyn was our server. She was overzealous with a wonderful attitude and so happy. She made us happy to be there. We love 2 hrs away. But will definitely be back. Authentic Mexican is worth the drive. The manager Heathers came by to make sure all was good and gave us the history of this family owned restaurant. Not a chain restaurant by any means. If the president, Ceo, or etc wants to expand....? Please consider Copperas Cove Texas, next to Ft. Hood texas. Our women and men of the military and civilians would love you to, locate a Lupe Tortilla here. :)

Food was tasty. Costumer service, however, was horrible. The food took over an hour, the tableware didnt come out for another 20 minutes, the dessert was another 30 minutes of waiting. My Sprite sat empty for a long time. The waitress was friendly, but had no support behind her. What really made the experience bad, was the manager. He was extremely disrespectful, and rude. When one of us complained about the horrible service, he talked back at them, and the exchange went on for a long time. Then he said he would only comp the tacos that were A LA CARTE (only $5 or so) when we a table of thirteen. When we were leaving, we went to find the waitress to give a tip. She looked like she had been crying, and scared. The manager had gotten mad at her when it wasnt her fault at all. I felt so bad for her. She was new, and really did try her best, only to get in trouble for the shortcomings of everyone else.

My Fiance and I go there once a month. The first time we went we were greeted by the hostess and were seated. Our server, Daniel, was timely and curteous. While we were waiting for our drinks, the manager approached our table and asked if we had been there before. We said no and were presented with a plate of their famous fajita meat. That is a ploy because there meat is good. Omg it was good. I have never had better meat than Lupe Tortilla. It was exceptional and the presentation was above par. We now go back once every 3 weeks or so and ask for Daniel or "Dan the Man" as I like to call him. Head on in there if you are looking for exquisite mexican food and ask for Daniel!
