Food is great as always. Wait staff Service is good as well. How ever the older lady who I believe that is the owner is very rude over the phone when I called today like she always is. I dont go there often so I forget the lunch specials from time to time. I called today about 10:20 or so and she said well dont you come here you should know the specials. I replied Im sorry I just forget cuz I do not go there very often. she replied will the specials are green enchiladas, Saltillo plate, and cazadora plate, for the day and they dont start till 11 very rude. If it wasnt for the good lunch special prices and food that are so good I would not be stopping here. Menu regular prices are outrageously overpriced...

We use to walk here when I was a child. I finally went back after all these years and everything was the same. The way it looked inside, my enchilada plate was really good and the same owner was working. My other half ordered the enchilada plate w a puffy taco etc. The puffy taco had to have been the best weve ever tasted. It was so good we each had to order one. Well definitely go back!

We love mexican food and this is at the top of the list. We had the puffy taco (beef), the tamales with chili, enchiladas and chili rellano. All were fantastic!! We preferred the beef to the chicken. But, hands down, the best chili rellano I have tasted in 30+ years of eating them. Service was great. If your around, dont miss eating here.

Stopped there today on my way home. Reminded of my grandparents and their home cooking. By far the best food Ive had in SA or on anywhere for that matter. Made feel like I was back at my abuelitas eating her delicious puffy tacos. Ill be sure to keep this place as a must stop when Im in town. Hot sauce was amazing!

Food was great, lunch special are awesome 5.95 and the amount of food you get. You cant beat that and the quality of food too, I came 11:50am and it wasnt pack but the quality of service is awesome. I was too hungry to take a picture of the food I got and their tea so good I got a to go cup. Its worth coming here.

The service was nice, we came for breakfast. I would have liked some chips. But maybe they start giving them a bit later. The tortillas were kinda thin and small. I love a good tortilla it just makes the taco so much better. Other then that. If I ever pass by and Im hungry and still pregnant I will stop by.

Every time I go to San Antonio. I have to stop here. Family owned for more than 40 years. They make the best puffy tacos and enchiladas. The salsa is amazing with the chips. The sweet tea is perfect. This is a must go place if you in the mood for some Tex-Mex food.

Being a native San Antonian, Ive eaten my share of good Mexican food over the last half century, but Ive finally found "my place" to really enjoy it. Great authentic food, very friendly, reasonably priced. This is my "go to" spot for Mexican food.

Best Enchiladas on the planet! I have been going to eat at La Casadora for 35 years. Same family, same location. Ive never gotten less than a great meal there. The food is always fresh, quickly served by the friendly family members and delicious!

This is where the natives eat. Period. The puffy tacos are our regular (they dont even ask us when we walk in...). Been going there for over 40 years...weve lived all over Texas and when we come home, we save one meal for our puffy tacos.

I have eaten here at least for the last 30 years or more. It is the best Mexican food ever. We now drive down from Elgin just to get a fix. We have finally gotten puff tacos in Austin, but they dont compare. 5 stars is not enough.
