The wife and I had breakfast here on Monday, and wow! It was very tasty, and the service was excellent. We both had the standard breakfast (I had eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheesy grits, the wife had fruit instead of grits). Carlos was a great waiter, and was friendly to boot. My wife has a Gluten allergy (Hoshimotos) and needs to stay away from anything with wheat. They were able to accommodate no problem! We went back with my Wifes grandmother on Tuesday, and were fortunate enough to get Carlos again. Same great service. I had the jambalaya omelette, and was a little sad that I hadnt had it the day before! Grandma stated that we had found a great little gem and I made sure to email her the location so she could find it again. Shes traveled the world as a newspaper journalist, and has had food at some of the best places, and was completely pleased with the food here. Im a big foodie myself, and had to agree. The next time were in San Antonio, well definitely be back. Update : went back, still awesome

Courtyard Cafe is a wonderful experience! My husband and I went for breakfast on Sunday, and it was great. I got peanut butter cream and banana pancakes with potatoes and bacon. The pancakes were huge. The peanut butter cream was nice, soft, and easy to spread. The bacon was thick cut and delicious. I was surprised how tasty the potatoes were. They were crispy and well seasoned on the outside, and soft and light on the inside. My husband got the southwestern omelette with potatoes, jambalaya, and a biscuit with jalapeño jelly. The jelly was surprisingly tasty! The biscuit was fluffy as well. My husband was a big fan of the potatoes for all the reasons listed above. The jambalaya was not authentic Louisiana jambalaya, but it was still pretty great. My husband was disappointed that the chocolate milk is just regular milk with chocolate syrup in it, but everything was wonderful besides that. Restrooms: Clean and well maintained Parking: Ample

Just had first time here lunch with out of town friends. It was just as all the other reviews had noted; good food reasonably priced and very nice staff. We will return. Also pleased to learn they will be open for dinner Thur-Sat. Writing this June 2016; as I said we did return. Tried them for dinner and breakfast. Again, the food and service was great, Dinner meal was excellent. Brought my mom, visiting from Washington St, for breakfast before she left and she said it was one of the best places we had taken her to. And she is picky!! We now regulars.

Asked waiter if beef fresh or frozen for burgers. Assured it was absolutely fresh, just made patty...No burger out of a bag, with premade machine frozen prints on meat.Tasted dry no flavor...bit of added smoke flavor. Trout orang almondine was sweet. Good filets and fresh..saw no need for it to have sweet syrup laden across it. Salads lack texture...tiny diced tomatoe on top. Tues Chic-fry Chic is the best...only thing thing worth making trip for..dining room needs sprucing up, as well.

Today I feel very sad because in this restaurant is good but today I had to look at something very unpleasant look at the manager of the place treat in a offending wat one of his workers, and that I felt bad bad taste if you have good Food but that is not the right way to treat any employee and I take the liberty of excluding it from the list of restaurants that I like to go I will not spend more for that place I leave unpleasant and outrageous

Great tastes are hidden in this building, tucked away between a couple of daycare centers and remaining low key, I never bothered to come in until today. Boy was I glad I did! The menu is simple, its a cafe with great brunch options. The house jelly is something to try out on everything, the food is fresh and the staff are very friendly! Definitely coming back for some of those blueberry waffles!

Usually for breakfast Magnolia Haus is the place we go. Courtyard Cafe is a good alternative that is a lot less crowded. I had the southwestern omelette which was great. My dad and girlfriend had the migas, which also great. My only complaint is that the menu doesnt have a huge selection but still what they have is delicious!

Court Yard Café is one of the best breakfast places in the city. Their jambalaya omelet is on point. The food is creative, tasty, and accessible. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Skip the long lines at gimmicky, german named pancake hauses and go to Court Yard Café instead. Youll be happy you did:)

The food was 5 star. My breakfast sandwhich came on a homemade English muffin, which really impressed me. Fried potato side was really good. Reasonably priced and generous portions. My co-eaters orders looked just as good. I dont live in the area and was there specifically for something, but would highly recommend :)

Food was absolutely delicious! I had the Southwest Chicken Omelet with Fried potatoes and Jalapeño toast (extra for the Jalepeno). I was truly satisfied as well as my wife and friends. Only reason for 4 stars was the service. It was a miss. Ive visited this cafe 3 times and twice has my service been sub-par.

I was seated promptly. The waitress was polite and attendant. The only knock I had was that the waitress may have been a little too attendant and gave the impression of being pushy. The food came out very quickly and was good. Price seems reasonable for what you get. Id definitely return.

Just tried The Courtyard Cafe for breakfast; have to say it was very good! Wait staff was prompt and courteous plus the coffee was great! My son and I can drink several pots, and our waitress kept us well stocked. Cant wait to bring my wife and daughter - they just have to get up earlier!

There was no wait time, which was nice! The service was average for it not being crowded, but once my order was taken everything was great. Food and prices were on par with most small mom & pop places. I drink a lot of coffee so I appreciated the near constant refills!

Good option for breakfast. Food is good, and someone is always walking around to refill your cup with fresh coffee. While seating has never been a problem, Ive experienced up to a 10 minute wait for a server to acknowledge my presence. No complaints otherwise.

The food was exquisite. I was so delighted to also have the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was such a genuine man. We had breakfast our first time visiting and it was seriously the best weve ever had. I mean that. :) I recommend this place to anyone.
