Found this little cafe on a google search for "brunch and breakfast places on the riverwalk". It was walking distance from our hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised! The breakfast tacos are HUGE and are amazing! My favorite was the brisket taco and the chorizo and egg taco. Husband had the sausage and egg and he also loved it. My kids split a village pancake plate, and the pancakes are so fluffy and just delicious! Pineapple empanada was delicious as well. The staff was soooo friendly...especially with us taking forever to make our decision on what we wanted and changing our mind a few times. I felt like we were annoying the cashier, but he made us feel welcomed and gave us suggestions. Most importabtly, its Aggie owned and operated! That was a bonus for this aggie family! Will definitely stop by again when we are in SA! Perfect way to end our mini vacation to San Antonio!

We are having our wedding in the morning, and we wanted to have a brunch after our wedding at the café. We talked to the owner Barry, he said no problem. We even went to a tasting at the café. He told us he would send us the contract, to sign. He never even got back to us. We emailed him to remind him and he said, he would email the contract to us that day. HE NEVER DID. That is very unprofessional. We had to find a new venue to have our brunch. We will never do business with them. I will tell everyone about our bad experience we had with this unprofessional business. I would like to thank Barry for making us find a better and more professional place to hold our brunch.

Breakfast tacos were good. I had Bacon & Egg, Brisket & Egg, and Chorizo & Egg, which I would rank in that order. I also had one of their freshly baked Banana Nut Muffins. Delicious. I was also impressed by their coffee. Super busy all (or most) of the time, which makes for long wait times. The craziness of the restaurant is avoidable by sitting outside once you place your order. The staff is incredibly nice. A very playful and light-hearted attitude from behind the counter that translates into a great laid back experience.

Nothing but good experiences when I have received food from La Villita! I was introduced first to the Brisket and Avocado breakfast taco and that alone sold me. Since I have tried a few other items from there breakfast such as there breakfast sandwich on a soft warm flaky croissant and an assortment of tacos. I am most definitely a advocate to this cafe . If you have lived in San Antonio for a while or are just visiting for the first time I recommend you to stop by and give La Villita a try!

If youre looking for a quick bite to eat, GO ELSEWHERE! We waited about 30 minutes in line to order (slowest and most inefficient ordering system Ive ever seen, they write down every order by hand), then sat waiting for our food (an egg sandwich and pancakes) for another 40 minutes, only to find out that they "dropped our ticket" and didnt make our food. So we waited some more. What a waste of our very limited time in San Antonio. The owner didnt apologize, only offered excuses. STAY AWAY!

My husband and I visited this cafe for breakfast since it was close to our hotel. Not happy with the food considering I paid $25 for two plates. We ordered the Santa Ana plate and we were not impressed. The beans had no flavor and the ranchero sauce tasted bad. I live in Texas and this was very disappointing. Wouldnt recommend. High dollar, low taste. Better off going downtown to the high-dollar Riverwalk restaurants.

Great breakfast and beers here. The breakfast tacos were excellent - selection of about 6 different ones and very reasonably priced. They also have a generous selection of other breakfast items. For afternoons, great sampling of craft beers, choice of 6 - 8 on tap. La Villita area is sort of under the radar so definite laid-back vibe here, with nice patio or indoor seating and friendly staff.

Food here is disgusting! They dont have a kids menu, so i ordered my daughter just a brisket taco to keep it simple, next thing i know she gets a 2 pound meat taco wrapped like a burrito, there was so much meat that made the tortilla super wet and disgusting. I ordered the Chicken tacos, they were also kinda gross and served they me the wrong side. Oh, and very pricey!!! The service was ok.

They have an excellent Selection of lunch options and breakfast all day. The Beer selesction is small, but nice. The STAFF really make the place! They are super friendly and helpful. The place is very pet friendly, and they always set out water for my pups and sometimes little treats! I love this place.

We enjoyed the Omelette with chorizo, the croissant breakfast sandwich with brisket, a banana nut muffin, and an iced latte. The food was flavorful and well portioned for an outstanding price. The staff was very friendly and kept up with a very busy lunch hour. We loved our time spent in the cafe!

I had a breakfast taco with eggs and brisket and a side of chips and salsa for $3.50. Im not sure if the tortilla was handmade but it had so many layers. The meat was tender and the egg was cooked to perfection. If I go back to San Antonio this cafe better still be there because its a do-over.

Food is good and this is a solid place if youre looking for a relaxed, inexpensive, comfortable atmosphere. If youre in a rush maybe this isnt the place for you, come to relax. The food is definitely worth it however, and will come again. Come early (opens at 8 am) to avoid the rush.

Food coma, yes please! This place may have served the best breakfast Ive had in years. The atmosphere is totally inviting and the service makes you feel that you are their best customer. Starbucks better realize they have competition as Villitas coffee options are on point as well.

Slow service! Tasteless food. Cook wasnt wearing a food net over his beard. To top it off my husband got violently sick after eating the egg and chrizo taco. Do not recommend this place. The coffee was watered down and it was overpriced. Someone get the health inspector in here.

Fantastic breakfast tacos especially the brisket/avocado and bean/cheese.Great coffee, espresso, lattes and capucino. Friendly service, one of the workers remembered my name from the day before and everyone seems very happy to be here. You also can walk here from the river walk.

We waited for 1 hour 15 minutes for one order. Finally decided to go ask about our order and they had forgotten to make it. It then took another 30 minutes to make the meal. We received no sorry from the staff, and he highly regret how much time we wasted on a beautiful Sunday.

The place was recommended. Everything online and on their door indicates they close at 6pm. I walked 4 blocks to get to them and got there before 5pm only for them to tell me they were closed. Very disappointing. Commit to your posted hours of business unless its an emergency.

Excellent service! The kitchen was closed because its a Sunday, but Barry the manager re-opened it specifically so that my brother and I could get some food. Totally happy about it! Barry made our trip downtown significantly better and we have both agreed to return.
