Its actually been a few years since Ive been to The Station Cafe, but its pretty much exactly how I remembered it. I see it as a hipster hole-in-the-wall with really good sandwiches. The habanero roast beef sandwich was really tasty, though I remember being a bit more head-over-heels about it back-in-the-day. The bread is fresh-made in house, circular, and soft. The roast beef was piled over an inch thick, warm, and juicy, and topped with cheese, fresh greens, and tomato. Finally, and most importantly, was the habanero aioli. This sauce set my mouth on fire and gave me brief hiccups after the first bite, but oddly, the heat goes away after that and all you feel is addiction. Addiction to finishing this sandwich as quickly as possible. The sauce on the chicken chipotle cheddar is similar. Much as it sounds, its chicken with cheddar and a chipotle aioli. A really good chipotle aioli. The sandwiches are great compared to other sandwich places, and theres not too many sandwiches overall in town that are better. The pepperoni pizza is nice to switch things up. The fresh pizza dough is crispy, the crust is thin, and the toppings light-to-moderate (i.e. youre not going to have a sea of pepperoni and a 1/2 inch of cheese on your slice). It’s not the best pizza I’ve had, by far, but it’s far from the worst. I enjoyed it, but its not better than the sandwiches, thats for sure. We also tried the apple strudel cheesecake, and it was on-point. The crust was crumbly and delicious as was the crumb topping on top. The cheesecake itself was creamy and rich though not too sweet. This is one of the better cheesecakes I’ve had in town. In short, The Station Cafe has some of the best sandwiches in town, and theyre $6 or less, which is a great deal. You could also come here and chill with friends as it seems they have a few study/meeting rooms.

This place looks cute from outside and is quite cute inside. Interesting wallpaper, color scheme and an interesting group of people (just slightly weird to make it interesting..but still very polite and nice).. Have munched my way through a few sandwiches, I think I really like this place...even though I am not a sandwich person. And I realize what makes them killer ...is all those sauces they make to go on them! They are fabulous. Pair homemade sauces with homemade bread and decent fillings and you have a winner

Tried the Station Rubination, and it was good- but mozzarella just doesnt take the place of Swiss. Its a personal observation, nothing to do with the sandwich itself. Large appetite what is is, I also ate garlic roast beef. That was pretty good, and the sauce was nice. Buns on both were lightly toasted and also very nice. Side salad (Greek) was a middle of the road item. All in all, sure- I would come back again.

Unassuming, "hip" place in the King Williams area. Reasons to come here? Amazing sandwiches with homemade bread and sauces for cheap prices. To provide variety, they also carry limited soups, salads, and pizzas. Just remember, it is a sandwich shop. They have outdoor seating with an outdoor bar, but the bar doesnt open up til a little later. Sorry, no booze with your lunch!

We happened to be walking by, lucky us! The quality and selection of sandwiches is great, service is friendly and fast. It looks like a local favorite, the line was out the door from when we stopped till we left: but our order was taken and food delivered quickly. Weve marked the location for our next trip to San Antonio!

Solid hole-in-the-wall joint that we get usually once-a-week for lunch at work. Tricky to spot, and you could be excused for missing it. They serve a solid variety of sandwiches (including both a vegetarian- and vegan-friendly burger) and pizzas, oddly enough. Also, the huge cookies and jalapeño roast beef are superb.

I dont know where all of their reviews went (including mine), but my friends and I eat here about once a week. I highly recommend the Habanero Roast beef if you like a little kick to your food (I always get extra habanero sauce). I also suggest the Meatball sub, which is loaded up (like all of their food).

Love getting sandwiches or slices of pizza here. Great setting and ambience as well (the art is really beautiful). Best of all, this place will never break your budget. Im addition to all this, its right in the Kingwilliams district and right by downtown and southtown.

The San Antonio cheese steak was really amazing. The bread that all the sandwiches are served on was so yummy. If you love the pesto, I would recommend the pesto pasta salad as a side. Their club is also very good. They have vegetarian and vegan options also!

Horrendous salads, found mold on it. Their house specialty bread for sandwhiches is absolutely terrible. Bad music, decor leaves something to be said for their taste. Should improve considering they are on King Williams St.

Yum yum! Have tried a new sandwich every time I come and they are all great so far! I loved the Turkey Chupacabra but beware it is spicy! San Antonio Cheesesteak and Chicken Parm were good too. Great food for a great price

Really good sandwiches (pizza, giant cookies, salads, slices of cake) with good, friendly service. There is a reason this place is packed at lunch time. Even with a long line, it moves quickly it doesnt take long.

Perfect quick lunch. I was staying nearby at Marriott Plaza and found this cafe literally outside the back door. The Jalepeno Turkey sandwich was hot and delicious. The fresh bread really did help make the sandwich.

This has been one of my all time favorite lunch and brew places in King William. Small, intimate, and decorated to spark convo, this place is one great definition for hole in the wall great places!!

Youve already wasted too much time wondering if you should eat or grab a beer at their ice house or not. Im the same way -- love detailed reviews. No need here -- station is the best.

Food is delicious! Place gets busy for lunch, even on a Monday! I would suggest sauteed mushrooms or even fresh mushrooms, that, and bacon option to enhance the flavorful sandwhiches!

Great sandwiches, good pizza at very reasonable prices in the tawny King William district. Seating is limited and lunchtime lines can be long, but its well worth the wait.

Tasty and reasonably priced with awesome artsy decor. Vegan burger with salad was good. I like that it wasnt as heavy as a lot of burgers but still delicious.

Insanely delicious sandwiches here. Always a stop for me when Im in town. You can take your sandwich over to the filing station and enjoy a beer with it.

The foods indescribable. Not too impressed by the pulled pork, the pizza was good but the staff was great. This place is in the King William area
