Simply put this deli/bakery is nothing special. I ordered the roast beef. My sandwich came on dry cheap regular store bought wheat bread that you probably wouldnt keep in your own cupboard. The service was average. The establishment is extremely confining. Our table and all of the others in our area of the deli were not clean. I noticed little pieces of food and trash on the floor and fly filled cob webs around most of the windows. Overall considering the price and driving time the place was a complete let down. Instead save some money stay home, relax, and make your own sandwich. At least your bread will be fresh and table will be clean. Save your dining out experience for another time and place and choose one of the other many delis in the area who take pride in their products, presentation, and customer service.

Just called to order lunch and was shocked! The woman who answered the phone just said "hello"...no restaurant name no greeting. When I asked if this was the Brown Bag she said "yes, what do you want". Are you kidding me??? I asked about delivery and was told "no way, we are short handed today and even if you could get delivery you have to call your lunch order by 9:30am". I told her none of that information was on the flyer that was left at our offices by them and she hung up on me! If she is the owner dont count on that business being around long and if she is just employee she needs some customer service training. Because of one phone call I probably wont even give the place a chance at my business.

I Walk In, My Order Gets Taken By A Lady Very Rude. I Then, Sat Down To Wait For My Order, And Before I Even Got My Food, The People Who Got There After Me Got Their Food First. 30 Min After That, They Give Me My Food. The Sandwiches Are Very Nasty, They Dont Contain All The Ingredients Listed In The "Menu". And They Are The Size Of A Slice Of Bread. My 8$ There Was NOT Worth It. Maintaining A Subway Fan.

A San Antonio locals secret! Dont be fooled by the quaint exterior of the building, because there are some serious sandwiches being made inside. All ingredients are fresh, the employees are kind and helpful and the daily specials are quite good. If they happen to have their bread pudding, do not miss it... It is PERFECTION.

The Brown Bag has the nicest people working there, who will utterly go out of their way for you. They accomodated me at the last minute when I was desperate to order some sheet cakes for an event, and even lent me their pans! The service is fast, the sandwiches are good (NOT gourmet), and it just hits the spot! Carol

my family found this place like 20 years ago. I dont know very much about the whole menu but i know on thursdays they have a turkey ole day. They are the best things ever. But if you go there you have to get a slice of their brownie they are soooo good. So go there if you have a chance.

When we had our business nearby 15 years ago and we would bring out of town folks here..just great sandwiches and deserts that are REALLY like homemade. Well, we are back and it is as GREAT as we remember it..cool day you can sit outside.
