I dont normally like to praise places I like a lot because I dont like to compete for time/table space with other people, but Id like for this place to stick around so here goes. This is the coffee shop I have dreamed of having in McKinney Square. They did a very soft opening a long time ago and I didnt discover it until a couple of months ago. They use their very own filtered rain water (hence their name) in all of their products. Great coffee starts with great water. Its the attention to all of the details that I appreciate. They use a brand of coffee that I am fond of, Cuvee, which is also a local coffee roaster. And its true, the coffee is so great here, theres no need to put sugar in it. Its a very hip place, and I feel like I could be in Deep Ellum or the Design District when Im there. They offer wifi. As a side business, theres also a friggin recording studio on site, and live music on certain evenings. Interested in voice lessons? They offer that too. They are at times understaffed, so be patient. The people who work there are very nice, and you will be treated kindly.

They were using cuvée coffee from Austin. I drove here instead of going back to dallas, but was disappointed because they are using oak cliff now. Oak cliff is horrible coffee I might as well go to a Starbucks because its as bad! Very disappointed! I left without making a purchase and unfortunately I can longer recommend this place. The McKinney square should shut them down for lowering their standards so low! Yeah, I just read your reply. I was gonna update my review until I read your reply to me. I wont be back and everyone I can tell about your sh!tty little store I will. You as the owner should try to improve based on real customer reviews, but instead are simply a rude person. You made it personal by making personal attacks. You did NOT have any cuvée in the store when I was there. You should do an integrity check. Obviously its needed. The only clown is you and the clown show you provide as entertainment in the square. You have had all your friends and/or relatives give you reviews below. Manufacturing false positives! LMAO!

I was wandering around the square, shopping, eating, wanted a cuppa, walked into Filtered and the excitement level ramped up by a bunch! Ive lived in all the big cities, NYC, Boston, San Fran, San Jose, San Diego. The decor here competes with any, its in a class of its own in this area, with exposed beams and brick that preserve the historical feel, but with eye popping chic-ness and featuress, too. Hip place and even more fun because it does not serve alcohol, though they do allow byo. The coffee, superb! Probably partially due to their very elaborate water filtration system. Piano players will enjoy the fact that theirs is open to the public.

Absolutely, one of the best spots for great coffee and drinks! The staff goes above and beyond. The environment screams happiness! Oh yea, if that was not enough, they are well seasoned in all the fine arts the local community can share! Music, painting, poetry, live recording studios, music lessons, art classes. A rent-able back room for special occasions that doubles as a living room, art class, business meeting, theater room, recitals and more! You would think I work here.....

Great place!! Good coffee great service! The workers here are awesome and friendly. The atmosphere is great! You wont find another coffee shop like this out side of Dallas. All thats normally around in suburbs are chains like starbucks or some really bad coffee "Shops" that make horrible coffee. IF you want a quality latte or drip brew this is your stop!

While their coffee isnt always my favorite, I do love myself a lavender latte here! If youre looking for a place to sit down & work, this place will be your jam. It is super peaceful with a great atmosphere. I can get hours of uninterrupted work in any time I go & since its in downtown McKinney, I can go take a nice stroll if I need a break!

There is a window to the sidewalk. Patrons can request water bowls to be passed through to water dogs outside. The staff is very friendly and happy to oblige. Also the code and pastries are excellent. This is currently (IMO) the best coffee shop in an area with strong competition.

This was one of the quietest coffee shops I had been to in a while. I sat for almost 3 hours with no disturbances. The coffee was good, atmosphere was great, and I think at other times they have live music. Play their piano while youre there, if you can play! Check it out!

I go here at least 3 or 4 times a week. The coffee is great, the baristas are polite, professional, and passionate about the coffee they make. You can sit there and get work done, or hang out with the people who come and go, its my favorite spot in downtown McKinney.

This place is seriously great. Everyone here is wonderful and the atmosphere is fantastic. Two small issues: 1) it can be seriously hot inside. Not a huge deal, but can be a bit uncomfortable. 2) They dont have a V60. And that upsets me. V60 ish my jam.

Filtered is an experience, been coming to this place almost every week for over a year now. The staff is awesome, and Ive gotten to know all them by name and become friends with them. The coffee is the finest in town, and its a very chill environment.

Best little coffee shop around. Great vibe, decor and atmosphere, feels authentic. I had the mocha and it was silly smooth with a good caffeine kick. Only criticism is they should stay open later, especially on weekends.
