This place was bustling with activity when I went there for dinner on a Friday. No surprises there, but what struck me was their efficiency in taking orders and serving food with very little wait. The seating area is fairly large and definitely family or large group friendly. They offer a wide selection of Mexican dishes. My server was pleasant and offered some recommendations. I ordered a plate of mixed chicken and beef fajitas smothered in cheese with a side of beans, Spanish rice, some fried veggies and flour tortillas. It was enough food for two full meals. The fajitas were juicy and tender and cooked to perfection with adequate seasoning. To my pleasant surprise, the cheese did not overwhelm the dish. I wish I could have tried some dessert, but I was full even when I was only halfway through my dish. It definitely was one of the memorable Mexican meals I have had. Will definitely revisit if I return to Lubbock.

This place is fantastic. Everyone told us there wasnt many options as far as Mexican food when we moved here. But one day my wife and I decided to try this place out, we were not disappointed! Great good for a great price. Best thing about this place IMO, they load Th per tacos with meat. Most other places put in a little meat and fill the taco with lettuce and cheese. Not here! They dont even put the lettce and tomato in the taco, they leave it on the side and fill the tacos with meat. Service is always friendly, and always fast. Family of three eats in under 45 minutes at dinner. Love it, amazing place you all have to try it!

Please dont waste your time in coming here! When we came no one ever came to seat us we had to seat ourselves and we had the rudest servers ever. I know one of the servers was named Marisol...seriously who trains these people?! When we got our food it was cold. They love to talk about people out loud especially if you dont know English. Watch when you pay with a credit or debit card because they will take the liberty and give themselves a tip without you knowing. Keep those measly dollars you look like you need it anyway! I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!

My mother was not crazy about this place, but boy I sure was! The food is excellent Mexican food. The portions are large. The drinks are good. The staff is professional. One woman can not speak English, so it is so much fun practicing my Spanish with her. If she has trouble with the English, she seeks out a co worker. The waiter was polite. The bathrooms are clean. I can not say enough good about the place. Keep those large portions UP! I love it here. Update- June- 2017 I ordered a #44. It was awesome. they have done quite well.

Amazing how you can drive past this place and it catches your eye and when you go inside you are blown away by the excellent food and menu. Absolutely everything is good and the price is very fair. The bar is pretty good and the drinks are tasty and brought quickly. The service is very very good and the hospitality is what you want. It is a great place to eat and enjoy, especially if you are hungry, good size portions when I last visited. Definitely worth a try and I will be back soon.

This is a pretty typical Tex-Mex place. The food was decent and the service was great. I had the seafood fajitas. There was a lot of tilapia, a few shrimp, and then the imitation krab. The imitation krab was too sweet and tended to fall apart. I wouldnt recommend this dish. The guacamole was just average here. There wasnt a lot of flavor. It appeared like they made it in house but it lacked any character and kind of bland. Well give it another shot when were back in town.

I relocated from Detroit to Lubbock expecting an abundant restaurants offering authentic Mexican food. To say this food is authentic Mexican food is a long-shot. That said, it is the most authentic in this city from what Ive tried. The environment is clean and friendly, but not much ambiance atypical to most Mexican restaurants. The restaurant is very affordable, and you do get a good portion of food for you money. Definitely try it out if youve never been.

NOT AUTHENTIC. Everything tastes like canned food and prepackaged. When I specifically asked if food was freshly made, they said yes. Apparently what fresh means to them is a can freshly opened! My grandma would be ashamed to call this Mexican food. I dont know any Mexican that stuffs their Chile rellenos with yellow cheese. They did have a great looking environment though, but that doesnt make up for the horrible food. Food gave 5 of us diarriah.

I rated this a 4 because it is a nice restaurant with GREAT service. However, this is not authentic by a far measure. After reading the reviews here I intentionally ordered something that should have been authentic and it was very good... very good TEX-mex, that is. Also, the panhandlers in the parking lot and bars on the window dont make for a great first impression. Nonetheless, when were back in Lubbock we wouldnt hesitate to go here again.

My aunt & uncle took me and my Dad to Taqueria Jalisco a couple of months ago. It is one of their favorite Mexican places and my Dad and I had never tried it. I can see why my aunt & uncle like it, the food was fabulous, great service and it is reasonably priced. Its close to where I live so I will definitely be a frequent customer!

I have to say that Im very picky when it comes to mexican food, but this restaurant is very authentic, the food was delicious, it had a taste like Sonora style which I love it. The restaurant was beautiful and Our meals were inexpensive.... If I go to Lubbock this will be the first place to choose from..

Decent food. I liked the change in selection compared to the typical Tex-mex menu you are used to in Texas. Food was good but nothing spectacular. Queso was disappointing (seemed like velveeta) The chili relleno was soggy. Service was very fast and attentive. Nothing spectacular but I would try again.

sorry lubbockites, you do not know good tex mex. the chili con queso was awful, the tortillas for the enchiladas tasted like cardboard. the worst tex mex joint in Houston is miles ahead of what this " Tex - Mex" joint can offer. Not worth the time and the money. that one star is a blessig for you

Visited last night for Valentines Day. Came from Nashville for a special dinner with my girlfriend. Chose this place on a recommendation. Having spent 10 years as a waiter in some very fine restaurants throughout the country, I know food and service. This place was EXTREMELY overrated.

This is one if the better, if not the best, Tex Mex meals Ive ever had. Had to walk for 20 minutes in the midday sun (did not have access to a car) but well worth it. Enchiladas and an horchata (huge and very sweet, be careful) were superb. Highly recommended if youre ever in Lubbock.
